Inactive Character Plotter - Previous Game Master Moonlit - Mar 21 2018
So, when characters go inactive, the general assumption is that they either hibernate back in their chrysalis, or simply wander the caves alone. We've had a lot of these characters over the years, with big gaps in their timelines that can only really be times of nothingness. With the new changes to reviving stones, there's likely to be many more of these characters left lonely.
But what if we could do something with these characters? Allow them to develop or contribute to the stories of other inactive characters without them needing to be present? Whilst there's nothing that can compare to a well-played and fleshed out relationship and plotline, it seems unfair that some characters are bereft of that through their cycles of inactivity.
That's where this thread comes in!
Now your characters pasts don't have to have so many holes. If you have a character who's inactive and whether you'll play them again or not, they can now be free to meet other inactive characters and participate in stories without actually being played. This can be a great opportunity for those who want to bring back a character but want them to have done something in all that time. If you have a character that's not currently active but available for development or relationships with other inactive characters, or simply characters with large gaps in their timelines, feel free to post them below. It doesn't matter if you plan on using them again or not!
In addition, feel free to also post a response to this thread if you want to plot with or discuss an inactive character currently on this list! think of it as a catch-all for those of you who don't like having huge gaps. It might even help gather some muse up for 'em!
Note: this is for characters who are awake and alive, not those who are currently hibernating!
-This'll be obvious to most of you, but unless otherwise stated, an inactive character still belongs to its old player. Don't put them in your character's history or assume your character already knows them without the player's permission!
-If a character was not accepted, it was never born, and they cannot participate in this thread. Similarly, if a character doesn't exist IC, it also doesn't exist.
-If something dramatic happens between inactives(a character being killed for example) it may be best to play it out rather than just putting it in your history. This will be looked at on a case-by-case basis.
These are characters who have been inactive in the past and are presumed to have just wandered the caves alone. Post them here if you want some characters (whether active or inactive) to fill in the gaps.

Any requests?: I'm dropping her off at a blocked-off cave in Monoceros (what she calls the sanctuary of Lifesound). If you want inactive character to be creeped out by mysterious singing in that section it would probably be her passing the time guarding the 'hallowed grounds'.

He probably would only get close to or allow one or two other Genbounds to get close to him. They don’t have to be best friends, but at least good acquaintances would be nice.

Any requests?: would like more of his lambhood and gangly adolescent history filled out. After the close call with Barathon, he would be sparring and practicing to make sure nothing like that happens to him again. He was also inspired by Leon's bravery and wants to be like him. Aries can be pretty cocky and believes himself to be a hero, but he needs a reason to be so. Would like him to save other Gembounds in peril.

Any requests?: rui, from his 3rd to 19th cycle, lived in eridanus alone, pulling mean pranks and scaring anyone off who he encountered in the trees. however, he was inactive for this time. if anyone wants to use this to advance their own characters/put themselves in as someone who had seen rui or had this performed on them, they would be free to. the pranks aren't violent in nature and generally revolve around rui hiding in the trees making scary noises and casting shadows to confuse and scare off any potential intruders to his territory. occasionally he would insult or otherwise tease them as well, with his particularly foul mouth.

Any requests?: prata is a hopelessly romantic sweet cat who went inactive around 2 cycles, when origin had an activity drop and i also dropped it for a while. i would like for him to have found a few friends so that he is not so lonely and so that i do not have to assume he fell asleep a child and woke up an adult! he's very friendly and playful and curious and would certainly be interested in any sort of adventure anyone else may have, but he's also just a sweetheart who loves lots of friends.

Any requests?: vega is a lone wolf who has always wanted a pack. he is self-sufficient, intelligent, quiet, and low-key, but he yearns for a family. ideally he would have found at least two other friends to wander the caves with indefinitely since he went active such a long time ago, around his second cycle. check his profile for info on how he would have grown up. he would not have fared well mentally being alone for so long, given his paranoia, so he could really use some friends to cling to.

I’d be happy to throw Todd your way as a potential companion for Vega. He’s very companion-driven and innocent, and would be most likely to follow Vega around asking questions and accepting the wolf’s leadership. Due to an old, old fight he has lost a little control of his back legs and so running seems awkward and he often stumbles, so that’s something to bear in mind. Other than that his demeanor is loud, optimistic and a little bratty, like someone much younger.
And similarly @Aries , I’d be happy for him to have protected or escorted Todd at some point, and he’d be especially fitting for this given his mobility issues. He’d also make a playful companion/childhood friend for Aries’ early days.

@rui, Talion has spent the majority of his time for the past 18 cycles in Eridanus. I’d be happy to say they encountered each other through Rui’s pranks. Talion is a no-nonsense kind of guy though, so he wouldn’t have enjoyed being teased or picked on.

Any requests?: for thee last three cycles, Thothaga has been wondering around the caves exploring and stuff. Keep in mind that she is essentually a spiderling for those cycles, a kid. Anyone interested in giving her some fond,(or not so fond) childhood memories, something that will serve as a backbone for her development from Maiden, to Mother, to Crone?
