The last of the dances - Reseda - Apr 22 2018

Reseda lumbered into Polaris, panting heavily. It had been a long run, but she had decided that it would be worth it to circle around here. They probably wouldn't think that she had gone all the way back here. They probably weren't smart enough to think like that.

She still had the gems in her, cradled carefully in her mouth. She found a nice, secluded alcove where she carefully sat them down. There were getting big already, growing swiftly. It had only been a few days and they had gone from shards to real chrysalis. They would be good, strong children. She knew that much. Perfect for her plans and her need. She needed more, more follows, more to play and toy with. Respect! Fear! What better way to create fear then have the children of the creature calling themselves "The Terror of the Caves" on her side?

Yes, this would fill the boring emptiness that riddled every single day. This would give her something to amuse herself with. Finally achieve the ambition she had been dreaming of.

But she was exhausted. She pulled the gems close to her as she lay her head down and quickly passed into unconsciousness.

She didn't realize that her camouflage had finally worn off.

RE: The last of the dances - Blueberry - Apr 22 2018

Blueberry had gone all the way to the tunnel where he had met his love, and back through every nook and cranny, he could find. And yet, he still couldn't find the damn lizard. But now, as he entered the room filled with colorful lights and magick, he spied a lo-looking shape.

Quietly, the moose moved forward, until he saw that it was the very same creature that had fooled him. Rage filled the moose's large body, making him shake in his fur with anger. He was tempted to yell, and be loud, but now that tactic wouldn't work. No.

Instead, Blue tactfully made his way towards the Komodo, choosing where he placed his hooves carefully. As soon as he was close enough, he reared and brought his hooves down onto the large reptile, mustering as much strength into the attack as he could.

Round: 1
Attempt: Be like sneak thief, but attack rear
Defense: Sneak
Injuries: does anger count?

RE: The last of the dances - Reseda - Apr 22 2018

Reseda was awoken very suddenly by a very heavy force on her back. She glanced back and saw the moose right behind her, face brimming with fury. She glared coldly back. Of course, all of her running had been in vain. She had to fight the thing after all. She didn't really want to, considering how her last fight had gone terribly, but she had to now. She couldn't run again. Besides, she had had enough of running.

But this would put a dent in her plan. Now the caves would know that the terror's mate was dead and they would probably know it was her fault. That would make it hard to convince people that the children had joined her willingly. Well, that was something she would just have to work around. Too late to change things now.

Hugging the gems closer, she readied her magic. If this moose was going to fight with brawn, she would fight with brains. Her gem heated a bit as she thrust magic outwards all around her, sending a number of rocks flying out of the way and, hopefully, the moose. She gripped the gems hard so that they were not swept away as well.

Round 1
Attempt: throw off moose
Defense: none
Injuries: none

The moose felt himself be pushed back by something, what exactly, he wasn't sure of. He stumbled a tad as he regained footing and glared at the lizard.

"Filthy creature. Give me back my children and I'll consider letting you leave with your life." Blue spat angrily. He stomped his hoof and let a low grumble escape his jaws. The moose concentrated on growing a pile of lengthy vines, not stopping until he felt that they would be acceptable binds for the Komodo.

Round: 2
Attempt: Vines
Defense: Backed away
Injuries: A little out of breath

RE: The last of the dances - Reseda - Apr 23 2018

Reseda stood as the Moose was thrown from her body. How rude of it to disturb her sleep. She faced it and stared coldly, her claws wrapped protectively around the eggs. "I would say the same, but I have no intention of letting you leave alive. You and your crazy goose are pests. I shall deal with her when I am finished with you. The gems are mine now, Moose, and I shall raise them properly."

She felt the bones wrapped around her legs and looked down. Interesting. It seemed the Moose had magic too. But plants were of little consequence to her. She had much more powerful magic, things the Moose could not even dream of. However, as she summoned her magic, she felt the effort break as she released, barely trembling the energy around her. Did the vines hold back her magic somehow?

She looked at the Moose and readied herself for its attack.

Round 2
Attempt: force away vines and moose
Defense: in a readied stance
Injuries: none

Nothing but lies.

First, it took his children, then it threatened him, then it threatened his love, and now it called him moose. The large bull moose shook with rage, his vision edging red. He wanted so desperately to run forward and thrash and kick and maim and kill the Komodo, but he held back. He had to keep a cool head, no matter the creature's words.

Blue focused on the plants and commanded them to trap the Komodo. Trap her. Keep her down. Make it so he can easily win. Make her learn to not mess with him, or his children, or his mate. Slowly, they listened. They slithered over to the large reptile and snaked around he body, trapping her where she stood. Or layed. Blueberry couldn't tell.

"Release my children and hide, before I tear your gem right from that pretty little eye of yours." He threatened, his voice low and angry and gruff. He needed his children. He needed to keep them safe. He needed to return them and himself to his beloved goose.

Round: 3
Attempt: Trap Reseda
Defense: Standing back
Injuries: None

Reseda was growing bored of talking. The Moose had nothing interesting to say. Well, at least, nothing she hadn't heard before.

She watched the plants wrap themselves around her bulky legs and sighed. As if that would stop her. She sent out magicka quickly and powerfully until there was a green aura radiating around her body. The heated radiation traveled down the plants and they burst into flames from the energy and crumpled to ash. She looked back up at the Moose. "You'll have to do better then that."

Round 3
Attempt: destroy the vines with radiation
Defense: in a readied stance
Injuries: none

The moose cringed as the plants burst into flames. Alright, this lady wanted to show off her magnificent power, then he'd show off his own brute strength. He charged forward with his head down, ready to tear the Komodo to pieces. But as he drew near the reptile, he skidded to a halt. Where were his children? Did she still have them? Where had she put them?

Blue wouldn't attack without though like he had before. No. He would be careful, tactful. He'd make sure he didn't harm his kids. The moose glared, letting out a loud snort of frustration and anger.

Round: 4
Attempt: Charge and thrash
Defense: nONE
Injuries: None

Reseda prepared herself for the moose's charge, but was slightly surprised when it stopped short. But of course, it was worried for the children. Idiot. That was a move that would cost him.

Reseda collected energy again and expelled it, making the air shimmer around her and giving her a faint green glow. The radiation was stronger this time and was able to turn it into a concentrated laser, straight towards the Moose.

Round 4
Attempt: laser
Defense: none
Injuries: none

The moose watched as the Komodo created a shimmery green aura for herself and he knew it'd be dangerous somehow. It scared him, it smelled wrong. He didn't like it at all. Blue let himself drop down to the ground, just as soon as a large green beam went straight where he'd just been standing.

Blueberry had no idea what the green beam would have done, he didn't want to see what it would have done, and he was grateful he had trusted his intuition. However, he still had a major task at hand. Getting his kids back. Blue stood again, backing away slowly and eyeing the reptile curiously.

If she had such strong magick, how could he stop her? Binding her wouldn't work, she could use the magick. Physical attacks could easily be deflected, as she did before with the rear. He had to somehow cut off her access to magick. But Blue had no clue how. Instead, he decided to go with the physical brawling route, deciding it'd be the only way that he could do any damage. And he couldn't hesitate either. He risked losing his kids.

Round: 5
Attempt: Dodge evil radiation laser
Defense: Backed away and low to the ground
Injuries: None
