a world of pure imagination - Destrie - May 08 2018
A few feet beneath the water, a lagre chrysalis sat half covered in rock and gravel, and the rest was covered in water. Under the water, the large black chrysalis appeared more like a very large rock that something that held a Gemboound. However, the black rock was hollow, and inside laid an unusual Gembound. It laid curled up, the tip on it's tail touching it's nose, wings crapped around it as if it was protecting itself from an attack.
But there was no need to protect itself. It was safe and sound in its shell, covered by still water. There was a need to get out of the safe casing though. The strange creature opened all six of its pupiless eyes, but it saw nothing but the black of its current home. And it didn't really like that, because it wasn't fun and exciting, there was no thrill to it. So, the creature threw its head back, hitting the chrysalis roughly with already half-formed antlers and a hard spike.
It didn't work the first time, so the Gemling repeated the action, over and over and over, until finally there was a crack, and then the shell fell gently around him. He let himself settle gently to the bottom of the little pond, only about nine feet from the surface. It didn't matter though, he could breathe down here, gills along the sides of his neck allowing him to breathe underwater, and above it too.
After too long though, the alien creature decided to test out his ability to move. He spread his front toes out, the webbing easing catching the water. And then he flicked his tail and he was off, swimming through the water, using his paws and wings to help propel him.
Though, the game of swimming, while very fun, grew boring after a little. It got too hot if he swam deeper, but he still wanted to explore. So instead, the Gembound swam to the surface and made his way towards shore. There, he laid and rested some, a bit tired after his water fun.

Fornax was livelier than it had been, she noticed. New life seemed to just show up out of nowhere, like the little creature lounging by the shore. She had to do a double-take, spitting out a stream of water from her mouth as she accidentally gasped underwater because the monster wasn't dead and he was going to kill and kill and ki---she was lucky. This cavern was lucky. The shape of the supposedly newly-hatched gembound had thrown her for a loop, but she recovered swiftly. Whale song rising in a soft, greeting tune, Iris poked her head out of the water, making sure to keep somewhat of a distance so she didn't completely loom over the child. She'd learned that it was pretty scary to have something as big as her towering above. It was easy to forget just how enormous you actually were when you were alone for so long.
"Hiiiiiii!" Iris chirruped eagerly, splashing slightly as her head bobbed up and down in the water. "Welcome to life! You're new right? You want fish? Hungry? You look tired!" She shut her trap, preemptively stopping a barrage of questions that was inevitable. If one looked close enough, the sea dragon was absolutely vibrating in excitement. This neonate even had antlers like her!

Destrie didn't see the huge pink and blue creature in the water as he swam, but noticed her when she spoke up. He grunned, blinking all six of his eyes at her.
"Hiya! I'm Destrie! No, I'm not hungry right now! And I am not tired either!" Des replied just as excited as the large sea dragon was. He moved back into the water, splashing and smiling. He was so happy to find another Gembound! This one was pretty too, and really big! He liked her already! She had horns, and she was a water creature like him too! Though, Destrie was pretty sure that he could be a sky creature too. It didn't matter what he was though. He was happy all the same.

Oh! Oh! That was a lot of eyes! She didn't mind them, though! They were pretty.
Splashing slightly in the shallows, she gave off a whooping squeal, which resounded through Fornax."Hiiii Destrie! I'm Iris!" She spared him the whole bit of her full name, which she wasn't exactly sure why she cared to keep it anyways. It wasn't that important to her. Iridescent was a little hard to say through a whistling tune. "Oh, oh! No food or sleep, then? Do you want to play?" Iris didn't even wait for an answer, eagerly shuffling backwards into deeper water. "We could play water tag, or hide and seek---but we can't go too deep! It's too hot and it'll hurt---or chase some fish, or race, or..." she went on and on, offering more and more options. As she concluded, she took a gulping inhale and chirped, "you pick!"

Destrie really liked this girl! She was pretty and pink and super fun and nice! And she wanted to play!? Oh Destrie did too. "Hide and seek!" The little alien creature decided after a moment of pondering his decision. He then zoomed through the water, as quick as his tail and wing-fins could take him.
The smaller Gembound found a hiding spot, right in a big ol' pile of rocks. He hid behind them and let out a loud yelp, giving off some sign that he was ready to play!

She has had hopes to revisit this place it was so warm and cosy in here, and Pippy loved the warmth. It was a bit challenging to find this place again, and reaching it can be difficult too if she wasn't flying, and her flying skills still were not the best kind not to add how she was reluctant to try and fly after crashing on Orion's solid ground. But Pippy wanted to revisit this place it was heavenly not to add maybe its warm waters could make the soreness which came after her crash despite getting help for those injuries be washed away which got her determined to return here despite all challenges.
As Pippy went on, a familiar cheerful voice bounced off all walls here, and they seemed to be saying 'hi' to a name which did not sound like one Pippy can recall which got her curious. Managing to dash into Fornax's entrance, its pleasant warm temperatures hitting her coat instantly and sure enough, there was a familiar large Gembound who was maybe the same size as Equinox in the cosy warm waters rambling to someone about what they could play and soon another voice came a new one to Pippy. While Pippy has nervous tendencies regarding strangers, it didn't stop her here to keep on moving forward in her curiosity. Although when she arrived, she did not precisely find anyone else besides her acquaintance.
"H-Hi! You're... Iris right? Is someone else here?" Pippy needed to be sure she got their name right she'd feel bad if the tiny bat got it wrong. Still, Pippy wants to possibly meet this other Gembound if she didn't imagine things, they sounded friendly when speaking to Iris so maybe they're kind and won't hurt Pippy if she were to meet them.
