In the very center of this tunnel, it seems a large hole has been opened up in the roof. Snow and ice have fallen away and water is pouring into the tunnel. The leak doesn't appear to be too bad for now - it appears the hole had been patched up before, albeit very hastily. It is very likely that the leak will worsen if left untouched and the tunnel will very quickly become flooded. If you wish to save this tunnel, you'll need to find a way to repair the hole. You may also notice that the humming of the marsh has moved from Cetus to inhabit this tunnel, but you can not locate its source.
@Diamondfang - Fisher meets a noodle just like him!
Fisher finds an interesting mongoose named Diamondfang. She scurries up a tree when she first sees him, and he wonders if she's scared. But of course, Noodles aren't scared of anything! Determined to prove himself to her, he bolts up the tree. She tries to copy him, but ends up falling. They introduce themselves to each other, and Fang sort of challenges him to a bug finding/digging contest!
@Tamelyn - Fisher "hatches" from his egg and is ready to explore the world!
Fisher hatches from his egg and is found by a big tall, mud covered deer named Tamelyn. Together, she shows him that plants are edible. Fisher spots a small mouse and tries to catch it, but fails. The deer is appalled that he wanted to eat mice, and eventually they come to a compromise: Fisher is not to eat gembounds that can talk, and he isn't to make unintelligent prey suffer. Kill them quickly, and do no harm that is unnecessary! After making sure they're still friends, and testing out some small bits of magic, the pair decide to split up to meet some time in the future.
@Aster, @Remy, @Ectheleon, @Fallah - Something is amiss in Cetus.
Entering this room, one feels a buzz of activity, but it seems almost unnatural. Despite the strangeness of the sensation, the boundless life within the room appears to flourish. Still, the sensation is unsettling, and the new Gembounds are dying to get to the cause of it. It seems an investigation of the strange sensation must be underway. What could be causing it?
@Isaac, @Nyx - Fisher meets Isaac and Nyx for the first time!
A young pup named Isaac "hatches" as Fisher stumbles into Polaris for the first time. Also, a cute deer is there. The two carnivores bark at each other and promptly get scolded by the deer, who is having none of that.
They all play some games and have a wonderful time, until the trio separates and Fisher continues to explore Polaris on his own! Fisher hopes he will meet more "Barkfriends" in the future.
@Leon, @Louie - Fisher is ready for bedtime, but the Spire calls!
learned CHARGE Tired from his journey and meeting so many strange animals, Fisher stumbles into the giant blue Spire. As he gets caught in the dazzling light, a friendly bear cub spots him and comes over to say hi! The pair decide to climb the tower, with Fisher reaching the top and Leon falling just before reaching. Fisher claws scores into the pillar and is hit by the raw magickal power of the Spire.
He falls from the great height and injures his paw. A strange fox is already healing Leon, and as soon as the bear cub sees his rival also plummet, he rushes over to check on him. Louie also heals Fisher, and although he's not back to normal, he can at least walk. Leon expresses concern over the storm gathering at the spire, and together they slink off to find a place to sleep. The fox seems irritated that they don't stick around, but there's nothing he can do to keep a weasely fisher and a big bear from leaving, nor does he want to.
@Makyna - Fisher's paw wound is only getting worse....
Fisher decides to find a drink. As he settles down by the Crystal Stream and encounters a playful lioness cub! Makyna gives him a gift, an ordinary rock that she believes to be lucky because of the "visions" it gave her. Fisher accepts the gift, as its the only thing he's ever gotten from anyone else.
When she sees how swollen and hot Fisher's injured paw is, she suggests he put his paw in the stream, and poor Fisher falls right into the freezing cold depths. The cold beckons him to sink, deeper and deeper, but he hears the call of the lioness and sees her reaching out for him as he struggles to swim. Biting down on her paw, the tough kitty pulls him out and saves the day.
Fisher decides that the whole of Polaris is angry at him because of what he had done at the Spire. Ever since he was knocked off of the tall building, he has the ability to charge small objects with static. After showing off this power on the Lucky Rock to Makyna, Fisher decides the only thing to do is go after the Spire and show it who's boss-- or give back some of his magickal energy so that it stops trying to kill him.
Will the Spire reject his plan, or is Fisher smarter than he seems?
@Deus, @Makyna - Deciding he wants to show the cave who's boss, Fisher returns to the Spire!
learned BOLT After coming up with a plan with Makyna, Fisher rushes off to the Spire. He shouts at it a bit and begins to channel his energy into the powerful crystal structure... I'm sure this will go well. A clueless, forgetful puppy stumbles upon the pair and immediately gets terribly excited over how small Fisher is which isn't so good for his pride any.
Fisher exasperatedly explains what's going on when the power of the Spire sparks something in his body and a charge of powerful lightning builds up in his fur. Stumbling away from the others, Fisher summons a huge (well, for him) bolt of gold lightning that strikes the Spire... and then the whole world shifts under them.
The Spire summons a giant monster, who in turn makes a blizzard and threatens to destroy each of them. Deus runs towards the beast and gets knocked away when it slams the earth, and out of fear Fisher suggests they play a game of "Tag" that involves running far, far away. Unfortunately, Deus runs away from Fisher and right into the beast once more.... And this time, the massive monster hits Deus with a fist.
Fisher grabs his Lucky Rock and runs for his life. He gets away safely, but now he is without Makyna and weighed down with the guilt of a dead dog on his shoulders.
A few days after his paw is injured and Deus is horribly murdered before his eyes, Fisher wakes up and decides to go hunting. While looking for prey to munch on, he runs into a wolf who also happens to be hunting.
The pair of them catch and eat a few tasty cave rats, and Fisher mostly gets over his horrible memory of the death of the sheepdog Barkfriend.
@Snake - Fisher's paw is almost completely healed and he goes exploring right into a giant snake!
Exploring the ferns of Eridanus, Fisher stumbles upon a giant mushroom. Eager to hunt the prey that surely lives in the great green world, he buries his Lucky Rock at the base of the mushroom and goes looking for lunch. Smelling a mouse, he practically runs into a strange beast. The beast is huge, longer and taller than Fisher could ever hope to be, nor is it friendly. Afraid but not about to be deterred, Fisher does his best to stand his ground against the frightening beast.
After being bitten and casting a powerful bolt into the sky, Fisher manages to climb up a tree to safety. Snake leaves, and eventually the noodle comes down and runs off, forgetting his Lucky Rock at the mushroom in search of prey and a way out, away from the nasty snake.
@Azazel - Fisher finds a greedy bird and gets into a fight for a bone!
BATTLE: LOST
Fisher, angry and frustrated from all of his rotten luck, stumbles upon a bird named Azazel-- the Bone King. The mustelid asks the bird what he's doing and gets met by a sharp answer, the bones at the King's feet are his. Now, Fisher doesn't know much about bones, but he isn't about to be intimidated off by a giant feather ball!
Unfortunately, Azazel is a powerful magic user just like Fisher, and blows the mustelid away. Infuriated by having been attacked, Fisher comes back at the vulture and tries to shock him!
The bird flies up into the air, and in that moment Fisher takes the chance to rush at the bones. He snatched up a bone eagerly as Azazel tries to swoop down and hit the noodle with his sharp talons, but the wiggler is already out of the way. Making a sharp turn, Fisher tries to leap on to Azazel's back!
The pair had missed each other by a mile. Fisher fumbles to the ground, only to find that Azazel is getting ready for another attack. The greedy Bone King snaps at Fisher's bone, still in his firm jaws, and soon the small noodle is being dragged every which way by the vulture. Summoning all his strength, Fisher tries to send a powerful electrical bolt through the bone... But the bone isn't strong enough to handle the power, and shatters in Fisher's mouth, the spell backfiring on the mustelid!
Fisher now horribly wounded from his own spell, Azazel tries to pin him down to keep him from hurting himself. Fisher squeals and cries, and even bites at the bird's talons, but it seems the battle is more of less over.
The bird flies off as Fisher escapes, but Azazel still doesn't want him to hurt himself. Carefully, the bird uses pressure magic to try and hold the biting, terrified mustelid still. This doesn't work very well, but Fisher doesn't want to fight anymore either. Instead, he curls up and builds up the static in his fur as he hopes the bird goes away.
The battle ends, and although Azazel won, the Bone King regrets ever starting things. Fisher vows to get his revenge, and slinks away into the shadows while Azazel weeps over the damage he has done. What will happen between these two in the future?
Will Fisher ever forgive the Bone King?
