Foul - Reseda - Sep 19 2018
An unfortunate circumstance had driven Reseda from her new home in Orion to her previous home in Canis. And that circumstance was the absence of bones. She had been smart enough previously to bring along a collection of her bones when she had first settled with the Sinful Seven, but now they were all gone - either splinters or broken too small to be any use. This was just the consequence of having a new home that wasn't in the room of bones. At least it wasn't too far. But still, the extra effort was exhausting.
She lumbered through the tunnel, her tongue barely poking out of her mouth every so often to taste the air. But everything was familiar...that was, until she caught a horrible scent. A scent that reminded her of some parts of Canis but much more potent. The smell of rot, decay, and death. Slightly interested, she veered her course to take her to the cause of the smell. It was on the way so there was probably no harm.
She caught sight of the spikes from a ways away but had no visible reaction. Somebody had displayed trophies. They were old carcasses, their bodies half-decayed into thick black goop, their bones poking through. She didn't really mind but she was intrigued by all of this. Who had slain them?
"Anyone home?" she called around the area, noticing the crack in the wall. Perhaps there was someone in there but if there was, surely her presence would cause them to look out. She stood perfectly still besides the flick of her tongue, waiting for something to happen or someone to come by.

RE: Foul - Bahamut - Sep 22 2018
The tiger slept.
But even in his deepest of sleeps, he was aware. His nostrils flared, and his ears twitched, listening out for any disturbance. There was an acceptable amount of disturbance - skittering Lesser's paws, the nibbling of Cave Rats.
But the odd dragging was not one of them. His head rose from his paws, red eyes gleaming as he blinked them open, jaw dropping to taste the air.
No, this was no Lesser. And the voice that called out only proved so.
In a series of flexing muscles, the tiger rose to his feet. A stretch rid him of any kinks that had tangled him as he slept, and then he strode out of the crack in the wall.
He eyed the reptile that had dared intrude into his territory, lazily swishing his tail. "Who are you, to come into my home." he rumbled.

RE: Foul - Reseda - Oct 03 2018
Reseda watched, unflinchingly, as the tiger crept out of his cave. So this beast was the owner of the carcasses, who showed off the trophies of his cruelty as plain as could be. She stared at him with cold eyes, no mask upon her face this time. There was no purpose for one. This gembound was a monster as well.
"I am..." she had been about to say Reseda but then she remembered that she did not go by that name as much anymore. But perhaps the name of Greed was only for the Sinful Seven and she was Reseda to the rest of the world. No, if she called herself green incarnate, then that was what her name would be. "Greed," she finished with confidence.
She looked over the tiger's shoulder towards the corpses, her tongue flickering slowly. "I see you are a collector. Who are you, beast? And where did you get these...ah, trophies?" There was no hostility in her voice, yet her words were sharp and demanding for an answer. There was interest sparkling in her eyes. Interest about this creature and his motives, if he could be a problem for her...or an asset.

Bahamut met the lizard's gaze, taking in her appearance. There was a kin-ship he could sense - there was nothing in her eyes. No flicker of emotion, no betrayal of fear or anything else on its face.
She offered her name - Greed - and he bared his teeth in a feral grin. He liked that name.
Her attention was drawn to his trophies, and he flicked his tail. "I am Bahamut and, unfortunately, those are not my kills. However, who is to say that I cannot appreciate another's talent?"
"Besides," he shrugged, "they are an experiment. Gembounds dissolve over time once dead, so I wanted to try and prevent that. I mummified them in Monoceros, then brought them here to see how long it would keep them in statis." he explained.

RE: Foul - Reseda - Oct 09 2018
Reseda was a little disappointed to find out that this creature hadn't killed. Why display trophies if they weren't yours? Then again, he number of kills was also at zero so who was she to complain? She walked past Bahamut and looked closer at the corpses. Mummified? How interesting. They certainly didn't seem to be in the same decay that would eventually take them - she had seen plenty of death and decay in Canis. She had to admit, she was certainly finding herself more and more interested with this creature. He was different from all the other gems she had met. No regard for life, mummifying random corpses just as an experiment, and displaying the kills of someone else just because he could appreciate how the kill was done.
She looked back at Bahamut, her eyes unblinking. "It is an intereseting experiment. How long have they kept like this?" She turned back and her tongue flicked against the aardwolf. It wasn't a fresh corpse by any means. Probably dead for a couple of cycles at least. It looked like the tiger had picked it up in a partial state of decay. "You are certainly different from all the other idiots roaming the caves, aren't you?" She didn't look at him this time, simply moving around to check out his other trophies. She was not thinking of the bone-room now. This was much more interesting.

Bahamut looked from the komodo dragon, to the aardwolf's corpse, to the dog's, then to the dog's head. He was surprised, if amused, to see that she wasn't fleeing in terror - he rather liked this reptile, maybe he could make use of her?
He looked back at the corpses, doing the mental calculations. "It took them almost a cycle to mummify, and they are going on two cycles like this. I expect them to keep for at least five cycles more."
He gave her a feral grin, baring his teeth and lashing his teeth. "You are as well. Most flee in terror, yet you show interest."
