Flight - Gea - Sep 21 2018
The bird angled her wings, struggling to get used to the yanking of the twister. It threw up some perfect thermals, but also made her have to strain to fly.
Her keen eyes scanned her surroundings. She had gotten many ideas from Glory, and she was eager to put them to practice. But first, she needed to find a place where she could 'set up shop' as the saying went.

Near the centre of the swirling whirlwinds laid an gembound ready to hatch. Inside was the confident, self absorbed peacock, some would call him a Dick, and they’d be right in two ways. Dick broke out and stretched out his wings. Slowly he looked around, wondering where the hell he was when he saw someone flying overhead. Dick stated for a few moments before focusing. He needed to get their attention. He NEEDED to. He spread out his tail feathers, revealing his fancy gem and then, out of nowhere, he began to glow. He hoped that this would at least catch their attention.
“Hey, down here!”
He shouted up and the flying bird, waiting for them to come down to him.

The falcon's keen eyes only took a moment to catch the glow, and she tilted her head to follow it. What had that been?
It wasn't easy to miss the baby peacock, glowing and fanning his feathers. And he was loud, as well. So she turned, folding her wings to the side before diving with the speed her species was known for, reaching the floor in only moments. Spreading her wings, she caught herself, and landed in front of the baby.

Luckily Dick caught his attention. He waited for the bird to come down to him and smiled at the complement. Even without his adult plume, he was already attracting females to him.
"I am Dick von Blitz and you shall address me as such from now on! Now, admire my beuaty."
He stood proudly, raising his head up high and fanned out his tail feathers as much as he could, revealing the prescious gem. Dick was just self absorbed and arrogant. All he cared about was himself. He glowed softly, enhancing his features as he stood proudly.

The falcon observed the peacock amusedly, ruffling her feathers. Oh, he was adorable. She couldn't wait to see him grow up, wondering if he would grow out of his pride and vanity.
She observed as he showed off his tail feathers and gem, making an appreciative crooning sound.

Dick listened to Gea and upon hearing her question, he cocked his head a little. Honestly, he didn't know. He thought about it for a minute then turned to her, looking her straight in the eyes.
"It means I am....of nobility!"
Of course, he completely lied. He had to make it look cool, right? Once again, she called him beautiful. He smiled brightly and walked closer to her.
"Once I am of age and you see me for my true beauty, I will claim you as my mate Gea! How do that sound?"
He smiled at her, he didn't think he would find someone so soon, but hey. As long as she respected him and he was treated rightly, he didn't care. He had found a future mate.....or had he?

Standing back up, she grinned as well as a bird could. Oh, he was adorable, she just had to play along.

Dick smiled as she bowed before him. Yes, he loved this. He loved being treated like royalty. He loved being treated like he was above everyone else because in his mind, he was. He was a peacock. a manificent bird.
He once again tried to make himself glow, as it brightened up his features, made him stand out more and once again, he was successful. He glowed with pride, head held up high.
