Holy crap he's huge! - Galactic - Sep 29 2018

Galactic trembled.

This was one of the dumbest things he had ever done.

But he had begun to fledge - at least, he thought so. He had begun to shed his soft down, and when he felt around with his talons, he could feel burgeoning feathers. He wouldn't be able to fly yet - not even close. But he needed to learn to gain height, so that he would be able to take to the sky.

So he had gone to Eridanus. It had taken quite a while. Stumbling, he had fallen his way to the forest room. It had seemed his best bet - he wouldn't be able to struggle to find a tree.

And it didn't take him long to find a tree.

Well, he didn't really find a tree. He walked into it. He grunted, feeling around with a talon, before finding an alright handhold. Digging his beak in, he began to climb, slowly, but steadily. He passed several branches - unaware.

It was only once he rammed into one with his head that he perched. He carefully made his way around it, before slowly siddling out onto the branch.

Hmmm hmmm hmmmm~ this was a nice place here~. Zeke doesn't wanna leave it righta now, seems such a waste to go now, there's lots to do, so many things to find here in this big green place if he sticks round a bit more, not to add, so many cosy naps he can take soon if Zeke stays longer than first planned if he wanna. Zeke had no plans righta now at all to go anywhere else so eh, sides he kinda wanna keep an eye out on his lil bud who he gave food. His lil bud for one seemed so delicate to this big guy Zeke here, and it made him worry far too much bout them even to have thoughts bout leave this place now. When his worries ease a lil, and he has another meeting with them, maybes he'll set off to a new location, depends if he'll have the motivation to do so anyways regarding going to a new place.

This canopy's sheer denseness was pretty cosy for Zeke, a lil too much kinda, if his fur wasn't so thick, all this foliage round him could make him warm and snug, but his coat already does this so this extra layer to warm snugness is kinda a lil too much at times for him. Greenery so vivid, so much so, a dull verdant tint has kinda stained Zeke's ankle's fur, course with what bright colours his coat has it's kinda impossible to detect, but his pearly growing claws have most certainly had gotten dyed with bright virescent; like nail polish got painted on his claws from how intense this colour is. Zeke pays no mind to it though, it was this sickly sweet petrichor aroma his senses are paying most attention to, even when it gets kinda redolent, it was still pleasant to his nose, in fact when it does get intense it made him drowsy again, well bout everything makes Zeke tired, either way.

With each slow step Zeke takes, his weight sinks into this carpet of leaves, quite thick leaves, fleshy and a lil wet too from how clammy it is here. From all Zeke's steps, a lil shockwave flowed through solid ground and made its surface tremble a lil round Zeke; these quakes spread round any tree close to Zeke. Small rhythmic thuds echoing in this rainforest room from these slow but kinda heavy steps no matter how delicate Zeke tried to be, these piles of leaves have been making it kinda difficult to tell when he's touching the ground, like some invisible stairs or something.

While Zeke observed what's round him more, hoping something like his eyes catching his lil bud or something, instead though Zeke located something or someone who kinda bumped into a tree who wasn't Zeke's lil bud he encountered earlier. Well, with Zeke, since he's found them now and without a name to refer to them, Zeke is probs gonna title them as 'lil bud' too. Still, they hit their head or something right there, which got Zeke vastly concerned as he slowly went to approach them, keeping his distance at first though. Zeke could be wrong on them hitting their head, after all, no need to be impulsive and accidentally startle them, but he was making something like a paused reaching out gesture with one of his front legs anyways.

He kept his eyes on them, watching every twitch to a muscle to check on whether they are OK. They seemed to be fine as they moved round this tree, but even so the more he watched them climb up this tree higher every second, without adequately flying, the louder a horrified scream in his head gets. Zeke was getting more anxious at what quite a severe drop it would be if they were to fall for their small and delicate size and hurt themselves.

Zeke made something like a jump outta reflex and a flinch when they for real hit their head again, he got kinda worried it would make them fall, but they managed to stay put but keep on going so he watches with attentive eyes to ensure they'll be safe.

Galactic quickly became aware that someone was watching him. Had probably been watching him for quite a while, maybe even from the moment he had entered Eridanus. But he dismissed it - many Lessers kept an eye on Greaters.

However, by the time he had made his way out onto the branch, he knew it couldn't be a Lesser. Lessers never watched for this long, and it couldn't have been multiple Lessers, as their gaze had never wavered. So, carefully, never releasing his grip on his branch, he called out, "Hello? Is someone there?"

Zeke refused to take his eyes off this Gembound here who is too high for comfort for this here big guy, and all senses are now alert on observing every single movement or even a small breeze. It doesn't matter what, whether it be by them trying to balance themselves or scooch over this branch a bit, a breeze on this tree's arm they, or any movement on their tree perch, either way, Zeke focused on them all. Zeke's body is tense as he remains still in some sorta kinda defensive stance, right now if something were to happen, he is gladly wholly prepared for a possibility. Ready for maybes leaping straight into action to be able to cushion any potential dangerous falls safely, Zeke wants to ensure they're not gonna get hurt whether or not they fall regardless. Zeke inwardly is so utterly freaked out right now by all this right here; what with how high up this kid is righta now, and they kinda seem to be struggling about having any idea about where they are even going too which makes Zeke's voice in his head scream with horror even more. It's all making him worry so much about them it seemed kinda like his growing horns were shaking rapidly from how agitated he is getting. It was so tempting to leap his front legs up to this tree and safely pluck them off this tree branch right now himself and gently carry them back down on this solid ground where it's safe. Zeke wishes to do it right now, but he worries he'll be acting too impulsive there and it mighta be unwarranted since they aren't falling right now, but still-

Oh, have they found him here? Or maybes they are they hoping someone is here and not alone righta now? Welp, no problem there if so, he'll gladly let his presence be made aware to them, sides Zeke wants to check if they genuinely are OK up there righta now. Though Zeke probs will still keep an eye on them even if they say yes, they are okay; it's just in case something does happen despite them saying they're fine; if they do say they are OK anyway, this kid might tell him they're not okay, which is why it's best for Zeke to ask now.

"Heyyyyyyy buddy, there sure is, over here pal! Name's Zeke. So uh little buddy... You uh OK up there and all? Do you maybes, need uh, any... Help or anything righta now?" Zeke's voice was filled with cheer with such a welcoming smile when he introduced himself, even giving a wave kinda with a front claw. His voice took a softer and quieter tone as he asked his questions, once again kinda doing a reaching out thing with his claw when done waving with it as it's utmost importance to Zeke to learn whether they are OK and safe up there, still with his bigness his voice carried quite an echo round them both. Zeke gave an indirect offer to them on whether or want they want any help in any way, though even if it was an offer, he does hope they say yes they want his help, he was so worried about them right now; come on buddy please get down...

Galactic tilted his head from one side to the other, attempting to locate the other using his hearing. When that didn't help him, he twisted his head around in the way only an owl could - he could sense something, and what he could sense seemed very big. What was it? He had never met something this big, nothing living, at least. Well, no Gembound this big, at least. Trees were living, he thought, and he'd met trees that big.

The Gembound spoke to him, and he bobbed his head with an, "I'm alright. It's nice to meet you, Zeke, I'm Galactic. You can call me Gal, if you want." However, he was quick to realize that its voice was echoing around him, and this thing must be much larger than he had ever met. His eyes went wide, and his talons dug into the tree branch, as he barked, "How big are you?!"

Hmm, it seems like they are still having trouble finding him even now despite how he attempted to direct them with his voice, should he call out to them again maybes? Oh, uhhhh? Whoa, so weird there, it's kinda a lil disturbing to Zeke, he doesn't believe he can turn his head like they are doing. Kinda makes him worry tempted to call out to them to stop before they badly hurt their neck, but yet, they don't seem to be experiencing pain or anything from doing it at all, musta come naturally to them maybes, still weird though, kinda makes him shudder. Ahhh yeah though, right, yeah, to this new pal here, Zeke would be considered something quite a big guy to them. It is something which, while honestly, Zeke does try his best to either way with possibility with about anyone he meets being kinda possibly milquetoast or something due to his colossal size. With this new bud here though, he dunno if he should act as slow and delicate as possible yet, they don't seem to be intimidated or anything by him, though maybes it's cuz they merely haven't found him yet is why still they seem fine about chatting with Zeke.

Heh, neat they appear to have found him now it seems! Well, kinda anyway, they aren't exactly making eye contact with him or anything kinda talking indirectly to him more like, Zeke attempted to reason on how maybes something like glancing down from their perch and getting hit with a scary truth on how high up they genuinely are and it may frighten them maybes? Well, Zeke is content, either way, what does make him happy here, is whatever makes them most comfortable and safe, is what is the best way for him. Zeke's ears did droop a lil though when they claimed to be fine, saddened kinda they have chosen not to get down from this branch safely. Zeke is a lil uncertain on whether or not they genuinely are OK, though maybes it's merely his worries telling him all this and mighta be unneeded, still, either way, he is still worried immensely for them.

"Well then, nice to meetcha pal, and sounds good there Gal! Hope ya don't mind calling you buddy or pal at times though or a variant of them~. Heh," yup Gal will be much easier for him to say, so with this, automatically it will be what he'll use to refer to them, something which is outside his usual chummy way with calling anyone 'buddy', 'pal' or even 'kid'; he's lazy as ever it seems...

"Wha-?? Oh! Welll, uhhhhhhh, I guesssss I am, wellll pretttyyyy biggggg toooo youuuu budddy? Uhhh I guess, maybes as big as a treee or somethinngggggg? I uhhh dunno buddy really... Is it uh maybes, a problem that I'm big perhaps?" Zeke's voice was high pitched like he was acting careful and uncertain, matching his confusion and worry as he spoke in a slow drawl from how unsure and confused on how to answer their maybes scared question. Welp, Zeke kinda expected something or something similar to it in regards to his size getting brought up, well it's only natural really, for one he honestly has yet to find another who is as big as he is well cept for maybes his buddy Asimona. But it has been only Asimona so far; no one else comes close to his or Asimona's size; still, it was on how outta nowhere Gal here asked him about his size, it kinda took him by surprise in all honesty. Still, Zeke has to ask if for Gal his size will be a problem for them and may make them go outta their comfort zone or maybes believe they're unsafe if he's round them. Zeke hopes he can find any way to correct it if so anything to show he means utterly no harm in a slightest and merely only wants to get to know them better.

Still, in regards to fixing this possible problem, the dragon can't do anything which will be outta this entire world even if Zeke himself is probs someone who is outta this world. Still, there sure are, some things which Zeke very much can't do at all such as, maybes shrink his whole body mass or anything like such an impossible thing. While Zeke for sure can do something like lay down on this solid ground, which can certainly make him seem smaller and thus less daunting and intimidating, but making his general size smaller, is kinda absurd.

The owl twitched his head this way and that, trying to figure out the other Gembound. They sounded massive, clearly much bigger than him. He ruffled his feathers, mostly having replaced his down at this point, spreading his eyes wide even though he knew that wouldn't help him any. After all, opening one's eyes did not help when one was blind.

They did, he admitted, sound rather kind. All long, drawled words. "Nice to meet you," he echoed, with what could be considered a shrug.

As big as a tree. Wow, that had to be pretty big, he thought. "No, not a problem." he hooted thoughtfully. "I can't see, so I'm trying to figure out who I'm talking to." He shifted his talons on the branch, ruffling his feathers, before finally asking, "Do you think you could help me down?"

Hmmmmmm Gal here seems to be taking his words well, or well they appear to be accessing what Zeke is telling them, best be patient though even if they don't seem to be freaking out or anything from being aware on how big he is to them. Uhhhhh maybes anyways, Zeke isn't quite sure what they're doing now, he worries if they are scared about him being so ginormous to them after all.

Oh! Heh, guess things are gonna be kay from here after all as Zeke grinned a lil with joy and relief when they said how it was nice to meet him after all this, their tone sounded friendly, no sign on any fear so appears things are good here after all.

'Neat~!'

"Oh! Ya sure, buddy? Well OK, then Gal, if ya say so! Glad to know it won't be a problem, and likewise nice to meetcha pal~!" sweet it seems he will be making a great new friend here. But what they said next concerned Zeke a lil.

"You... Can't see...? As in, complete darkness like your eyes are closed all the time even if they are open or something?" Zeke was so tempted to ask them how it happened and if they were OK but he dunno if such question is a tad too invasive or something. Though does make sense how they weren't sure how big Zeke was at first, but it also got him more worried how they are up on this tree from what Gal told him here, being up there seems more unsafe for them right now.

So when they asked for help in getting down Zeke didn't hesitate for a sec, already he was preparing to do so.

"Oh sure buddy absolutely! Hang tight Gal I'll be there," now where Gal's branch is a head above Zeke, so he moved to leap his front legs up a lil, standing on his hind legs only as he tried his best to stretch his neck a lil. Zeke didn't rest his front claws on this tree trunk for balance or something as Zeke worries if he does it'll cause this tree to shake and accidentally spring Gal offa it and nope not happening. Sides this was enough as he moved a lil closer, his head bout right next to Gal at this point they can hop on now if they can, and use his horns to hold onto as well for when he gets them both down.

"Kay my head is right in front of ya Gal, just uhhh follow my voice or uhh scent to find it and hop on, maybes use my horns to hold onto as well when you're on if that all sounds good maybes?" he hopes this will be enough to help them here, he wants to help them get down from there as soon as possible.

"Speaking." 'Thinking.'
