Hello Origin!

A few newsy bits I'd like to condense into one place for all of you.

First off, our December is kicking off with a nice little in-character Holiday Event in Pisces! You can visit it here and have a look! Characters are encouraged to take part even if they weren't present for the initial thread--just have 'em hear through word of mouth that a Mysterious Stranger™ is looking for crystals, pet food (?!) and his missing white beasties, and wants them returned to Pisces, for a Mysterious Reward™! Said white beasties include white ptarmigan, arctic hare, and both white and brown caribou that have scattered throughout the caves. Don't forget that everything's a little colder, too, with snow falling here and there!

Second off is our December OTMs! Blurbs are coming shortly, but fluffy, flying murderous Eythan is our Character of the Month, Pride & Mercurius are our snowy white Pair of the Month, Dark is our darker? Member of the Month, and New Life to Grow and Sow is our Thread of the Month! I definitely recommend reading that one, if you haven't--it goes from adorable to traumatizingly tragic in about six seconds flat. Character development, anyone?

Lastly, please do have a look, if you haven't, at this year's Secret Santa. This time it's SilverWinter kindly running it, and you can find signups Over Here! Please make sure you do deliver if you sign up, and by a suitably Holiday date--but I'm sure there's going to be some fantastic new artwork and other gifts roaming about by Christmas (or whichever holiday you may celebrate!).

The Halloween threads are now winding down to a close, and their relevant rewards will be awarded soon. Keep an eye on the Magicka shop for the new spells that have been getting unlocked through in-character interaction! Eythan, through his quests for The Collector, has unlocked the Earth-Element, High-Intensity Defensive spell Stoneskin in the Magicka shop, and those in the Orion Halloween quest "In Nightmares" have unlocked the Arcane Element, High-Intensity Offensive spell Mindscream. More are on the table, so stay up-to-date on these spells, which your characaters might like to learn! On a related note, do feel free to have your characters seek The Collector in Canis at any time for a personal quest, with personal rewards. Just remember that any conflict arising in-character via his questionable requests must be settled by the rolls, and not pre-determined, to keep those rewards legit!

Lastly, the Fall Ad Contest has come to a close over here, with SilverWinter winning the 1st Place reward of a Mutation/RCS slot, with a total of 57 ads! NightShade and Oscenavis have won 2nd and 3rd respectively, for rewards of a High Spell Borrow and 300 magicka! Congratulations, guys, and well done.
