Well, not really. We're still old-us, and that's okay!

A New Contest!

We haven't had a contest in awhile... so there's one in the making. Origin's still quite active, but we could definitely benefit from a larger playerbase.

BUT! ...Ad contests are oooold news. Old us. I mean, we can do more in the future, but for now, NEW YEAR, NEW--something else is planned...

...Actually that's not nearly as ominous as it sounds. We're going to do a flat-out recruitment/referral reward system for the rest of February, through to the end of March! WHAT THIS MEANS:

For every new member who signs up and creates a character which is approved, and who names you as their referrer, you will receive a reward. Please note that they MUST say that you referred them, so make this clear in your advertising--I'll include, a bit further on, an example of text that you could use.

The Rewards:

Per player referred, per person...
1st - 200 Magicka
2nd - High Spell Borrow
3rd - RCS/Mutation Slot (your choice)

So ex. if I refer one player, I get 200 magicka. If Blackbird refers two in, she'd get 200 magicka + a HSB for her character of choice. For every player referred thereafter, you will receive another 100 magicka.

Some Ideas:
- If you have a blog, make a post about this contest, telling people all about Origin, suggesting they go sign up, offering help if they need it--and including your name for referral info
- If you advertise on other RP (or whatever!) sites, you can make a similar post there
- Talk to any actual friends who might be interested, whether real-life or Internet People friends
- Any social media platform could be used to advertise!
- Do some Origin art; post it to the site of your choice with your ad below it!

*Remember,* if you advertise on another website, be sure to follow their rules & guidelines!

A possible version of a post (don't copy/paste it word-for-word, but it has the relevant info!):


"Hey, guys!

So, I play on an animal RP forum called Origin. The basic idea is that lots of animals are living in a huge cave system, with its own magic, history and mysterious origins. There's an integrated D&D-styled (but simple) rolling system, different magical elements and paths with which to customize your character, frequent events, DM'd NPCs and quests, and so on.

Origin's pretty active, but at the moment the ongoing contest is to refer new players. So if anyone wants to have a look, and consider signing up, check it out:

Valentine's Day Event

Did you think we forgot..?

In Tunnel M, some of that pesky water that flooded out from Fornax (remember October? Remember that monster in the water? So do we!) initially froze... and is now crashing down the mountain. Tunnel. Thing.

Left bare is a strange stone platform, five sparkling pink-red gemstone pillars, and a strangely sweet, alluring odor. Have your Gembound check it out here, at "Will You Be My..?"

The quest's content and rewards are super secret! You'll just have to join up, and see what unfolds...
