As if no time... - Umbra - Feb 13 2019 ![]() The arrangement had gone quite smoothly. At the beginning, the others had a problem with Crack taking back control sometimes but once it showed them that it was trustworthy, they relinquished their hate and the days began to slip by peacefully. Crack could still sometimes feel that stirringi n them to sow chaos, the want to see destruction. It was as natural as breathing to it and it was out of breath. But it found that it could stop itself. That it could live normally as the others did. Although it was a little messier then the others when it ate. RE: As if no time... - Cedar - Feb 13 2019 A blue/green stone lay on the ground. It had been there for a cycle, and now it almost seemed as though it had become tense, lying in wait for what would happen next. Something inside shifted. A slight movement, followed by stillness. And then another movement. Whatever was inside wanted out. It pushed against its confines, slowly reaching out, before the gem began to splinter and soon it had shattered, releasing the creature inside. It flopped onto the ground, laying there for a moment. A head lifted, eyes peering out blearily around the, taking in their surroundings. A couple of blinks, and then they really started to take it all in. Everything was so bright! They shifted so they were lying more comfortably before continuing to look around, amazement clear in their eyes. @Umbra RE: As if no time... - Umbra - Feb 13 2019 ![]() The sound of cracking jerked Crack out of any sleep that was coming. It looked behind itself and was amazed to find a little creature, just having hatched from its shell, sprawled out on the ground. It was so random and so impossible that Crack at first didn't know how to react. RE: As if no time... - Cedar - Feb 26 2019 It wasn't until the bat began to fall that the hybrid noticed them. They looked up, their head tilted. As the bat spoke, they blinked. Where did they...come from? They looked around themselves. They had no idea where they came from, they're just...here! They opened their mouth, not entirely sure how to speak but willing to give it a try! "H-hi!" They paused at that, as if shocked they had actually managed to speak. They tried to jump up in excitement, but they had no idea how to use their legs yet and instead toppled over. They didn't let that deter them, however. They righted themselves, though remained sitting. They looked back up at the bat. "Hi!" they said again. It was, perhaps, the only thing they could think of to say at that moment. @Umbra RE: As if no time... - Umbra - Feb 26 2019 ![]() Crack watched the little hybrid with its jaw hanging open in complete disbelief. How had they done this? How was it even possible that they had done magic like this without noticing at all? It's complete shock and confusion caught the attention of the others and they curiously poked at its consciousness. RE: As if no time... - Cedar - Mar 20 2019 Cedar watched the bat as it seemed very confused. They didn't pay that much attention. They had started to continue looking around them. But when the bat spoke again, they turned their attention back. Crack? Was that their...their....name? And parent. They didn't really know what that meant, but that was okay! As the bat spoke again, the hybrid frowned. Who was it talking to? Was it talking to them? It didn't seem like it, but who else could they be talking to? A quick glance around confirmed they were the only one in the den. Looking back to Crack, they titled their head. Faintly, they could recall two words that seemed to stick out to them from what it said. Umbra and Caliante. "W-who..," they paused, frowning, and tried again. "Who is Umbra and C-Caliante?" They still had a little trouble with words, but they were trying! They hoped Crack liked that they were trying. @Umbra RE: As if no time... - Umbra - Mar 21 2019 ![]() The others continued to yell and scream, and by others it was really Rusty and Tarragon voicing their outrage at suddenly having to become parents and their refusal to take that position. Crack couldn't help but smirk. They always seemed to be at each others' throats but this seemed to be one thing they could agree on. |
