A New world - Yurei - Mar 19 2019
RE: A New world - Zelk - Mar 19 2019 Zelk walked in Polaris, thinking about what ranks she and Orlaith would take up in the Bonebound. Every day the Bonebound were feeling more and more like family to them, and the cubs were grateful to have a home. The little polar bear cub thought if she was going to be huge, maybe she could be a warrior. She also knew tigers were good at stealth, so maybe Orlaith could be a hunter. Then the little bear cub caught something, a newly hatched gembound. The cub was a bit confused as to why the wolf was trying to get back into from where she hatched. Zelk decided to go greet her, she was new here after all. "Hi, I'm Zelk, a polar bear. I can see you're a wolf. Why are you trying to get back in there?" She looked kindly at the pup as she watched her with curious eyes. @Yurei RE: A New world - Ejder - Mar 19 2019 The cat, for he had somehow survived his kittenhood on his own, had found solitude in the caves while his broken body healed. He had almost chrysalised from the broken ribs he had taken (though he didn’t not know this was possible) and had spent many cycles trying to heal while also trying to survive. The bruising had finally left his furless side and so he decided to wander the cave systems a bit. In truth, he was ready to ignore his birth cave for a while after the previous … misfortune of it. In time he found himself to a very different cave. Its very presence made what little fur he had prick upwards. The sensation was new, and therefore intriguing enough to explore. Dainty lilac grey paws moved through the cave while taking in the unique sights and scents. And then he stumbled onto something most intriguing indeed. Bright purple eyes landed on a large black item. It was most curious, something he had never seen before. Ejder had never seen a hatching before. Curious, he lowered his body to the ground and observed it; the way the light shimmered and how cracks were beginning to form. And then a creature of white from it, though it tried to return back into the egg. More curious, another creature of white soon appeared. He began to wonder. When he hatched, another creature had appeared as well. Was there something about a hatching that somehow signaled to others to come? Some sort of subconscious call for another to come? Perhaps it was a strange survival technique. While he’s aid was less than helpful, it could be a useful strategy of nature if that was the case. There were no scent trails he could tell, he assessed with a quick whiff, but that didn’t completely disprove the theory. Tail twitched, watching the scene from his hide-away. "What would these children do next," he wondered to himself. "Speech" "Thought" Tags: @Yurei and @Zelk Notes: RE: A New world - Yurei - Mar 20 2019
RE: A New world - Zelk - Mar 23 2019 Zelk saw that the wolf pup was very scared, but she wanted to show her that there was no need to be scared. Zelk walked over to where she was hiding and flattened her ears to show she wasn't scary. "Hey, you don't have to be scared. I'm not going to hurt you, I'm a really nice bear." She then took a couple more steps, and laid down on all fours as she watched the wolf pup. It was understandable why the canine was so scared, it just came into the caves. Zelk was determined to show the pup that the caves were a magical place, a place where gembounds belonged. Hopefully it could learn to be a little more confident as it grew. @Yurei @Ejder RE: A New world - Ejder - Mar 23 2019 The feline watched the two curiously, ears twitching ever so slightly. He had expected the two to become friends quickly (since many gembounds appeared to do so) and then begin exploring the area around them. Yet the canine pup had instead turned around to try and return into its gemstone egg. It was most curious behavior. Ears pushed forward but from his distance it was hard to really hear what they were saying. The best of research required just simply observing from a distance. Sometimes, however, a more active approach was required. After making some quick thought of the matter, the Peterbald rose up from his hiding place, stretched out his limber legs, and walked over to sit near the two. Not once did he consider that his sudden appearance might startle the two youngsters. It wouldn’t have mattered if he did realize it though. The matter of their behavior was too much to pass up. He had spent cycles observing the lesser gem creatures but less so of the greater type, and never before a hatching. He had to find out if their behavior was unique or not. It did help, however, that despite the age difference was similar in size to the two children. “Young creature, why are you attempting to get back into your shell? Aren’t you to explore the new world now?” Ejder asked with a flick of his ears and a cock of his head to the side. @Ejder @Zelk RE: A New world - Zelk - Mar 26 2019 Zelk saw that the pup was very scared, and clearly didn't understand what she was saying. Zelk sat down on her hind legs, wondering what to do next. She watched as the other child tilted her head to her left in confusion. What to do, what to do? Zelk finally decided on what to do. She walked over to the cat that had asked why the pup was trying to crawl back into that shell. "I don't know what else to do. She can't understand me, and I don't know what else to say. Do you have any ideas?" Zelk scrathed her head with her paws as she waited for the cat to answer. Maybe an adult could help better than she could. Last thing she wanted was to scare the pup more. @Yurei @Ejder RE: A New world - Ejder - Mar 26 2019 “Fasincating,” was all the feline said at first. He sat down and proceeded to groom his paws before using said paws to clean up his face. It wasn’t so much that he was in need of a grooming at the moment but that the actions allowed him to focus better on his thoughts. It wasn’t since he was a young kitten himself that he had dealt with so young a creature. That made understanding their thought process so much more difficult. Especially since, if the two were like his childhood friend had been, they were probably very emotional and therefore unpredictable by nature. This was always more difficult for him to accurately assess, though not impossible. They were young. This meant that they were also simple. The young tend to have simple needs; hunger, thirst, warmth, safety. The pup’s actions were most likely related to one of those needs. Considering her need to get back into her egg, he took a guess that the pup was desiring safety. He stopped grooming and turned towards the bear cub. “Easy enough. If she doesn’t understand what you are saying, you speak a different way.” Ejder’s words were matter of fact though without any air of arrogance or pomp. Simple words spoken simply. He glanced around before finding a bit of fruit hanging from a nearby tree. “That will do nicely,” he thought before walking towards it and beginning to climb it. “For example,” he started between leaps up the branches. “If you want to say that this is good to eat, it is best done by showing it.” Unfortunately, he took a swipe at the fruit and missed, having it just out of his reach. A bit annoying, but no matter. “Speaking of which, cub, I don’t suppose you are any good with such tasks?” "Speech" "Thought" Tags: @Yurei and @Zelk Notes: RE: A New world - Zelk - Mar 27 2019 The cub took note of what the cat said. She looked up as he climbed the tree, but failed to knock some fruit over. She looked up and twitched her ears before speaking. "I can try to help you out, but around 3 cycles I won't be able to climb trees because I'll be too big." Zelk looked at the wolf pup. "Stay here and don't move." Zelk clumsily climbed up the tree and tried to swat down some fruit. Unfortunately, it didn't work, and she almost slipped on the branch. "That's it! I'm getting off. I'm not falling off this tree!" Zelk was a silly cub, but at 4 cycles this would be gone from her system, and replaced with the ferocity of a polar bear. The bear got off the tree, trying to figure something out. Zelk looked around, and not being able to come up with anything, she looked up. "Maybe we should try something else if you can't get those fruits down." @Yurei @Ejder |
