A happy, gentle humming seemed to float throughout the tunnel. White paws walked, nearly bouncing it the vix's step, at a leisure pace. She had been exploring for awhile now! Ever since she and her dear friend Eeya had gone seperate ways to explore she had been all over the place. She hadn't met much of anyone else, but that was okay! She would surely meet someone somewhere! Now, as she trotted on down the tunnel, heading back to the place of her emergence to see if her dolphin buddy was there, a plump rat dangled from her chops. She had practice a lot of hunting on her ways, but this particular rodent had put up more of a fight than Mawra could remember the others doing. So she had set out to show Eeya of her triumph! Laughter came muffled from around the rat carcas and the young marble fox picked up her step. Big ears flicked about, listening to any sounds in the tunnel. She wasn't expecting to hear anyone. She had never came across someone else in these tunnels. She always figured they had always found a different way to get to where they were going, but that didn't really matter to this young kit. Though, as her gentle green eyes suddenly fell upon the form of a dark furred creature her eyes went wide. "OOH HEEFOOO!!!" She nearly yowled so excitedly. She instantly ran to the creature, eager to see who it was. Her tail was moving a mile a second and when she realized it was another fox an extremely happy yip escaped her. She quickly spat the rat out, the thing giving a thump as it hit the ground, and gave a broad grin. "Hi! Hello! I'm Mawra! what's your name?!" She wiggled with her excitement, looking the fellow kit over. She awed over the gem the moment her gaze landed upon the thing. She instantly moved around this dark furred kit and studied his gemstone with much interest. "That's awfully pretty!" She turned a happy grin up towards his face again as she seemed to bounce about on her paws. She just couldn't contain the excitement coursing through her. To meet another gembound was great, to meet another gembound fox was even more great!

Yoru flicked his ears at the sound of distant steps, accompanied with the smell of a rodent and a slight scent of blood he waited still till he finally saw a distant form coming closer, the strange form appeared to be mammal like him and also quadruped but when the creature suddenly screamed, or was it a howl? he stood up giving two steps back what was the other creature problem?, a strange thing he supposed, when the other pup came closer he let out a sigh, it was another fox for sure, but a pup wouldn't help a lot to get food or so he thought, when he noticed the other kit's food he smiled, accepting the 'challenge' of stealing her food.

The other kit, Mawra was her name, dropped the food which Yoru wanted a lot, his strange eyes glittered as he gave some steps closer to the rat now in the ground, but without taking it yet "Yoru, my name is Yoru" he wagged his tail alike any cat would do, when Mawra moved to see his stone he stared at her from paws to the tip of her ears, she was a 'different' creature indeed "Not at all, i have seen better ones, what about you Mawra?" he sat again, covering the rat with the tail and scanning her whole body with the eyes again "A green stone? well no, actually you have two" he dragged the rat along with his tail, covering the tasty snack with his one leg.

"By the way, why are you alone?, do you hate company of others? or maybe you did something awful to your caretakers?, or maybe they abandoned you?" he smirked, any normal lone kit, pup, or chick would react in an aggressive or sad way to such a question, but learning about a strange kit like Mawra was something he wanted to do.

Yoru! What an interesting name. Mawra grinned ear to ear as she watching him. He had seen better gems than his own? Nonsense, everybody's gem was beautiful in their own way! She grinned as she plopped back on her haunches, listening as he spoke of her gems. She reached up her front paws, balancing easily on her hind legs, and touched the two bumps that were just barely poking out of her head. "Yeah, mine are kind of odd...- But I like them!" She yipped with happiness as she flopped her ears about. At Yoru's question, however, an amused laugh escaped the kit. "No, no, no and no!" She answered all of his single questions. Of course she was not alone! She had Eeya! The dolphin she was on her way to show of her successful hunt! Oh! Her hunt! her eyes quickly darted around for the rat she had caught, but some how it vanished?! Her eyes blinked thoughtfully before turning her gaze back to Yoru. "I'm not alone. I was on my way back to my brother! He lives back in Polaris. I wanted to show him the prey I hunted! It was rather difficult. It even bit me on the leg!" She exclaimed dramatically, throwing her paws up in the air as if to demonstrate just how dramatic it had all seemed. But where was her kill? She fell back to all four paws and looked around again. Did it run away? She put her nose to the ground and sniffed around, following the scent of blood. No, there was no way. Mawra knew she had killed the thing. She scurried around, sniffing around until she caught a bigger smell of it. She soon followed it right over until her nose bumped into a leg. She blinked as she studied the black fur. "Hey!" She huffed as she pushed against his leg before sitting back and frowning at him, her ears now pinned back. "That's mine..." She grumbled, but then she blinked. Was this guy all alone?! He must be! Maybe he was just hungry?! "You could have asked you know. I would have let you eat it," finally she smiled again. She would not put up a fuss over it. She would just go have to hunt something else to take back to her brother. But that would be later. "If you're trying to steal food, you must be alone. Do you not know how to hunt yet? I can show you," She blabbered on just as happily as before. She wondered just how young this kit was. Did he just emerge from his chrysalis? Maybe not, regardless. Mawra would let him have the rat if he was really that hungry.

"As far as i know, every stone is odd" he talked with confidence lifting his left paw and touching his small spikes "Since there are no equal stones, we are all odd", some seconds passed till the other kit laughed at his questions he felt rather offended but ignored it. So the answer to all the questions was a no?, not a normal reaction for a kit who is exploring alone but well. When Mawra started to search the rat he felt somewhat nervous ,b."You hunted it yourself?" he couldn't believe it at all, since rodent where such sneaky creatures, but he giggled a little at her 'replay' of the hunt, feeling more comfortable and slightly happy near her, he wondered why she explored alone, if she had a real brother it would be most likely a mammal and in that case, the brother would explore with her.

When she pushed his leg he stood surprised, she had a better smell sense than an average herbivore, but well that was obvious "I found it in the ground myself" he exclaimed copying the other fox's ear position lowering his body and rising his butt slightly, settling himself ready for a fast scape but relaxed when the friendly kit went back to normal, without moving and flicking his ears "Huh?" he tilted his head confused, wasn't she going to try to punish him like most creatures do?.

He snorted at her words and turned away, nothing was funny of asking for help, even if he had done so before with adult gembounds, he always felt the need of paying back someday "So you noticed" his voice slightly angry "I am alone but i can learn important things myself, i learned how to steal and use others, i can learn how to hunt but those useless rats always notice me before i get a chance" Yoru murmured getting up, he walked back to the left wall of the tunnel and sat "You can keep it, i will find someone else later" he lifted his head fast and closing his eyes sulking, that pup knew something he didn't and also had something he needed, the black fox kit had a feeling of inferiority which he hated.

With a head tilt to the side, Mawra watched as this new kit went and promptly sat by himself. Her tail flicked about before she turned her gaze to the plump, juicy rat that was just laying there now. She smiled and scurried over it. She grasped it up into her maw again and moved right back over to where Yoru had placed himself. "'eeeey, c'oon. 'Ou 'an 'aaave ish" Her eyes curved with a smile as her tail continued wagging back and forth. She pushed the rat towards him, almost wiggling it trying to make it seem all the more enticing. Soon she sat the rat to his paws and stepped back to sit on her rump once again. "I wasn't trying to upset you. I bet you could hunt just fine if you tried hard. It took me awhile to figure it out," She yipped and nodded at her words. Oh she had messed up several times in her days of learning how to hunt, but once she got hang of it Mawra was off hunting like soon to be expert hunter! She wiggled a moment with her excitement just thinking about how fun hunting was. "So were you born in this tunnel?" She questioned, eyes shining with the utmost curiosity. It was always interesting to hear which parts of Origin that other gembounds had emerged in. Of course...she had only Eeya to question that particularly inquire with. Not anymore! Now she had a new fox kit to learn about! And maybe even play with?! Oh how exciting!

He turned to Mawra as she Walked closer and slightly snorted when she talked with the rat in her mouth "Hey come on you can have it?" he said with a mocking tone "You should talk AFTER you end eating, or at least without anything in you mouth, it's commun knowledge" he poked her head with his paw stopping her from getting too close to him, but then she let the rat in his paws "Isn't this for someone else?" he said pushing the rat away.

".... Whatever" he huffed and turned away again "I know that, and i also don't need other's Pity" even if it wasn't pity, for him it was since after she knew he was alone, she started to act more kindly towards him, or so he believed.

Strange and somewhat curious isn't it? "That's not important isn't it?" he asked flicking his ears "But if you really want to know i will tell you, yes and no, i was born at the Polaris entrance" he pointed to where Polaris entrance was supposed to be and turned to Mawra "But polaris was too big and flashy for me, this place is most comfortable" he stopped and let out a long sigh "But i may give it a try and explore there later, since creatures seem to gather there more often..... what about you?"

Mawra puffed out her cheek in a semi-annoyed fashion as he completely turned his nose up to the meal she was offering him. "It's not pity! Mr. Grumpy face," She huffed as she got up onto her paws once again and trotted right back over. She snatched up the plump rat before returning to her spot. If he wasn't going to eat it, then she would just fill her belly with it instead. "Ish 'alled..." she paused a moment and sat the rat back down at her feet as she pressed her ears towards him, "Being nice." She eyed him for a moment before shaking it off. If he didn't want to eat it there was no fur off her back! Not important, no she supposed it was not important. To him. To Mawra it was important cause had she been born anywhere else she would not have met her brother. She grinned when he spoke of Polaris. "I was born in the river in Polaris!" She yipped excitedly, her tail beginning to wag to and fro once again. She took the this time to avert her gaze towards the entrance of which Yoru had pointed out. She wondered if his crysalis shards were still around. She, herself, wasn't able to really see the shards of her 'egg' seeing as the river had done a good job at sweeping them down it's course. "I haven't been to a lot of places yet, just through this tunnel, Polaris, and Pisces. Which is over that way," She picked up a paw and pointed to the other entrance within the tunnel. The one they seemed to be closer to. Of course she had came from that direction and was making her way back to Polaris when she had first spotted this new grumpy face Yoru. She then grinned towards Yoru, "If you ever do come to Polaris, I could show you around! There's some scary big rock things around, but they're kinda dumb and unless you're really loud they wont come after you."

"Who is a grumpy face?" he asked with a playful tone and watched as she went for the rat and came back, Yoru waited as she gave the rat a bite and when she talked with the mouth full again he felt like hitting her head, but he knew that was not something nice "I already told you, i can understand what you say, but i have a bad time trying to figure it!", when she stopped eating he smiled with relief, maybe she finally learned the lesson, but what the Marble fox kit really did was press her ears in his direction "What are you doing?, being nice?" then she stopped and eyed him, just like that.

For some reason she acted all happy and excited again, but he ignored that fact and listened with attention "There's a river in Polaris?, also, shouldn't you be drowning then?" he asked smelling her, she didn't smelt like a corpse and the smell of water was hard to be notice but it was actually there "So what's your brother exactly" he couldn't help it, what was his brother? was he a kind of fish?, a fox living in a river was something hard to believe.

"Pisces..... sounds like a fish" He murmured turning to where Mawra pointed smiling and wagged his tail, he haven't crossed the Tunel at all, but maybe if he went to that place he might learn how to hunt fish or make others hunt for him "Wait, i must know, what's is in Polaris and Psicies?, there's something interesting there besides the rock things and the water? like food?" he asked getting up and turning to both directions "Which place should i explore now?" he never really thought of moving, but if new things could be found that way he was more than ready to try.

Drowning? Most land creatures probably would have wouldn't they. A grin spread across her features as she glanced down towards the rat at her paws. "Well yeah. I guess I should have drowned. By my brother!! He saved me! Taught me to swim!" She reached down and took another small night before glancing at him, "you want a bite?" She offered one more time before she gulped down the last bite she had taken. Maybe he would take her up on her offer this time

She giggled as he started looking both directions. "If you come to Polaris. I can introduce you to my brother! And the fish in the river are really tasty too! I bet he wouldn't mind catching some for us!" She wiggled excitedly just thinking about the fish Eeya would potentially catch for them. She hopped up to her paws, tail moving a mile an hour. "Come on come on!! I'll show you all of Polaris. Where the best place to hunt for mice is! Where Eeya huntas fish!" She grinned and wiggled, urging him to join her to Polaris. She knew for certain he would not be disappointed to meet Eeya and have a fish from the crystal river.
