Quite a Sight - Sanji - Mar 30 2019

Sanji was slytherin through Eridanus once more. He still had places to see and explore within this area of the cave. He stopped when he came to a large trench filled with ferns but what interested him most was the large skeleton within the fern trench. He slithered slowly as he inspected it, he could see the rib bones buried in the sides and the spine going along the bottom. The skeleton thoroughly interested him and fascinated him. He wanted to learn more about what happened here. Perhaps if he had someone dig out the skeleton so he could inspect it more closely maybe that would give him a clue or two on what exactly happened to this ancient creature? As Sanji slithered through the trench he flicked out his tongue collecting the scents around him.

RE: Quite a Sight - Pollux - Mar 30 2019

Pollux had been taking a nap when the black mamba slid silently into the trench. She was sprawled in a patch of sunlight that had managed to penetrate the dense foliage of the trench. Of course, it would be hard for her to be spotted. While she slept, her skin naturally changed to mimic the area around her. At the moment, her skin took on the appearance of a mossy, oddly shaped log... with wings?

Her large wings and fluffy gray mane were a dead give away. And the puddle of faintly glowing drool that seeped from her few toothed mouth didn't help. Her camouflage was less than perfect. But as of now, there was no need to truly hide. The Bloodberries had long since left this place.

It wasn't until the little snake had moved closer to some of the bones of the behemoth that slumbered that she stirred. Her blue eyes opened into slits, the world still blurry from sleep. It took a moment, but when she blinked fluffy awake and lifted her head.

As she did so, her skin turned back to its regular flesh tone. When she spotted the snake she gave a surprised huff and then a high pitched whistle of air. Not being able to speak had led her to get creative with her greetings. At least the little snake would hear that.

What a young gembound! I wonder if they hatched here? Pollux thinking.

Sanji kept slithering through the trench slowly until he heard a loud whistle of sorts coming from close by. He looked around and stopped at the other gembound. She instantly caught his interest, those wings, the horns, he found her to be rather fascinating. What species was she? He slithered up closer to her and flicked out his tongue to collect her scent. "Greetings stranger. I am Sanji. It is nice to meet you. May I ask you for your name?"

Sanji wasn't aware that the creature couldn't speak. At least not yet. He watched her closely as he flicked out his tongue. While he did this he also inspected her as closely as he could without invading personal space. Once he had a good look at her he slithered back and waited for her response.
