If all goes as planned - Temoria - Jun 22 2015 ✿ OOC ✿ parts of the chrysalis as still coving her pack and top of her head.. she is annoyed by this ✿ ✿ It was like being in liquid, something fluid and never truly stationary. Comfort seemed to be the level that the child lived in, not knowing if she was living or an inanimate object. Ignorance is bliss in a state of suspension, not understanding the world nor knowing there was a cave beyond the safety of this ivory crystal that seemed to be clouded and glitter with a colorful array of hues as any form of glowing light hit its outer shell but this form of tranquility is never meant to last for eternity. Eventually silence would be pieced, comfort shattered. ✿ That was when a heart would take its first flutter, the movements of this delicate beating quickened. It raced until it caused the creature within the stone chrysalis, a gentle sound began to resonate in her tall, pinned ears. It was like being underwater, a low humming sound was gargled, muffled by the multifaceted walls. An urge to maneuver in her shell seemed to some to those petite paws, and yet, no movement would come. The feeling was almost frightening, her comfort, her tranquility was starting to crack. ✿ Soon it was a sound that seemed to pierce her audits, a strange shattering frequency that allowed her back to arch as if it was aching from staying in such a stationary position but any flexing or movement she wished to do beyond that was limited. Confusion was the second emotion to enter her brain as it work from the stasis it had remained in until now, unsure of what was going on. There was just an urge to break the prison that encased her. RE: If all goes as planned - Ghanyarah - Jun 22 2015 A loud crack echoed through the air. Ghanyarah's head suddenly rose, inspecting the vegetation below. He had found a home on a low-lying limb, his favorite place to rest beneath the artificial lights of the jungle room. After encountering the leopard that helped cure his face of the fungal affliction, Ghanyarah had been alone. He hadn't interacted with or even seen others. He'd been aware of all the commotion with the marsh guardian, the gargantuan reptile that lived beneath the surface, but he hadn't seen the beast. He hadn't heard of his movements since, though Ghanyarah had heard of others trying to summon him. He kept his distance from the marsh. The murky black waters held nothing for him but a bigger set of jaws, and Ghanyarah was not keen on becoming anybody's meal. The cracking sound, however, was a curious one. Rarely did such a large fracturing noise pierce the air and disturb his sleep, and this one must have been close. It sounded oddly familiar, like when the hematite chrysalis had come ashore, and the golems came to consume it. The beast narrowed his eyes slightly, but he took a glance around - there were no golems here. Even so, the sound of a cracking chrysalis seemed to attract the attention of other Gembounds. But maybe... if he went to the chrysalis and stopped the creature from making noise, he could prevent them from coming and disturbing him. That sounded reasonable. Ghanyarah had grown since he last saw other Gembounds. He was larger, thicker; his torso had become rotund to reflect the amount of food he had been eating. Rats and other small animals prowled the misty jungle, making an easy meal for quick-witted Ghanyarah. His movements, once skittish and sudden, were becoming slow and laborious. The reptile would gradually turn around on his limb, climbing down the trunk of the tree, and try to isolate the sound of the cracking stones. He long body wormed its way through the undergrowth, feeling mud and other damp debris slide beneath him. His tail followed, lashing through the leaf litter until his eyes beheld a chrysalis of glistening, opalescent rainbow. It was a beautiful thing. But all beautiful things could not last, and Ghanyarah was eager to stop the fracturing noise once and for all, and return his home to peaceful quiet. The dragon lumbered towards it, sniffing curiously at the base of the chrysalis. His large maw snuffled around the gleaming crystals, trying to detect a scent from within, but it smelled only of mud and dirty water. There was a broad crack down the middle of it, and he sniffed that too - there was a vague, animal scent. The dragon parted his jaws and tried to break it apart, but it was stronger than he. He tried and he tried, grabbing at different crystal points and tugging, but to no avail. Finally, the dragon stepped back and focused on it. Maybe he could will it open... Post-Roll Edit: But nothing happened. There was a vague, chilly tingling in his limbs, but the feeling faltered and fell away. Ghanyarah hissed and swung his body around, lashing his tail at the chrysalis instead. While his physical attacks had no effect on the chrysalis, the lizard was intent on breaking the chrysalis open and freeing the creature inside. RE: If all goes as planned - Temoria - Jun 22 2015 ✿ OOC ✿ parts of the chrysalis as still coving her pack and top of her head.. she is annoyed by this ✿ ✿ She wanted to maneuver around in her cocoon, it was a feeling of safety. Comfort was not an emotion that would remain in her limbs, actually she was feeling quite the opposite, she was uncomfortable. Every muscle was beginning to ache with the absence of movement, that fluttering organ in her chest was racing as she urged her petite frame to do something other than remaining in a suspended animation. Again she reached out with those delicate toes, another ear piercing crack seemed to rumble in her pinned ears but that was not what seemed to caught her attention. ✿ No, no, no. There was another sound, another feeling of warmth as it pressed against her opalescent prison. She felt the casing began to shutter but whatever this creature was doing seemed to give her nothing, there was no helping hand as she tried to arch her spine once more. A crack, soon a fragment of the chrysalis started to fall free from her frame. Clouded ivory mucus strings seemed to try to keep the shard clung to her body but she shuttered as if to be chilled from the sudden contact of oxygen, the fragment let go. It would seem that ever time she stretched, reached, a sound would reward her movements, another piece of her tomb would fall into the murky liquid just seconds away. Tuffs of colorless fur would stick out, still wet with the strands of milk white strings that tried to keep her crystal glued in place. ✿ It was then those blush colored eyes would open, blinking rabidly to allow her faint pupils to adjust to the artificial light in the cavern. A sharp cry came from her lips as she strung free from her chrysalis, though it was not a graceful action. Fragments of the cage seemed to stick to her spine, keeping her ears pinned, leaving sound to remain muffled and unclear as she tried to shake the remaining crystals off of her colorless figure. Her pale gaze moved, unfocused as it landed on the creature that was trying help her. Still trying to free herself from the rest of the prison as it clung to her back. RE: If all goes as planned - Ghanyarah - Jun 22 2015 Eventually, the cracks in the chrysalis worsened. Sprawling, deep incisions broke the crystal points apart, until finally it burst and revealed a tiny white creature. The sound and sight of the chrysalis breaking open caused Ghanyarah to jump back, hissing out of instinct. But what the broken chrysalis revealed was nothing more than a tiny, shuddering little animal, white fur slicked back with creamy mucus. He narrowed his eyes, staring at it for a moment. She was still hiding beneath a shell of gleaming rainbow quartz, eyes fluttering open and blinking in rapid succession as she acclimated to her new surroundings. Beautiful shards of gleaming colours lay scattered about her, but all Ghanyarah cared about was that the tiny creature was now free from her noisy prison. He sniffed and stepped towards her, negligent towards the young creature's tiny fear of the unknown. He shoved his noise at her, sniffing still. Her scent was strong, amplified through the presence of stinky mucus. She was absolutely tiny - and as he examined her, he realized that she had all the qualities of somebody he knew. Arkrael. The wolf. That furry tail, pointed ears, long muzzle and large predatory eyes. She must be a wolf or something. That meant she was a predator. Except she was... tiny. Smaller than Ghanyarah even. He furrowed his brow and tilted his head, nudging his nose around her turtle shell gem. This tiny predator was just as vulnerable as he had been. Did that mean that he wasn't vulnerable anymore? He was bigger than her. His tail lashed, and Ghanyarah walked an arc around the girl during his inspection. He wondered if she would be just as tasty a treat as the rats that he'd been eating. Wouldn't that be funny! The predator becomes the prey! Ghanyarah sneered and sniffed at her some more. Maybe he should make her his, just for fun. Yes, that would be quite funny, wouldn't it! But it wouldn't do to have all this gross mucus all over her. The dragon continued to walk around her, attempting to summon his magic to pull the mucus off of her. Post-Roll Edit: The mucus would budge slightly, small strands suddenly reaching out towards him like slimy fingers... and then they would fall, collapsing back into the membrane that clung to her. Ghanyarah hissed out of frustration. How was he going to clean her up? RE: If all goes as planned - Diamondfang - Jun 24 2015 Exploring and searching for those crystals that Usui wanted, that's what she was doing. The creature had opted to leave behind her trusted bodyguard Fire in favor of traveling quicker and quieter. A tiny mongoose was less likely to be noticed than a huge rhino stomping around behind her. No offense to the loyal gembound but she wouldn't know what stealth was if it came up and slapped her in the face. Now the self-proclaimed queen was traveling through Cetus. Word had it that one could find some goodies if they were vigilant enough. Perhaps she could find a little more than goodies... Her knack for finding new creatures to fool --ahem-- enlighten was very good. The little mongoose paused in her scuttering to cast her magic outwards. Enhancing her senses and letting them go beyond her vision in the fog. What she heard was two heartbeats, one young fluttering while the other was slower... older. She could also hear a faint humming and thus knew exactly where to go. Seemed as if she'd hit the jackpot today! One could always tell when a newborn was hatched due to that young heartbeat and as for the older, perhaps she could coerce them into following her as well. If not then she could always spread the word further that the Queen was in Origin. Diamondfang put on a burst of speed and headed straight toward the pair. When she arrived she saw a long, lizardlike thing and a smaller canine. Hmm... Smaller than a wolf but no less useful. She certainly would be a pretty thing one day with that all white fur and those pink eyes, well, she absolutely adored pink. This canine must be hers. However, with how the lizard was staring at her she had to wonder if a claim had already been staked. No matter, that claim was now forfeit because a Queen's wants surpassed those of others. The mongoose cleared her throat and casually strode up on two paws right past the lizard and all the way up to the canine. Her tiny teeth were exposed in a cordial grin. "Howdy there, sorry to interrupt two so well matched creatures like yourselves but really... It ain't a party until a Queen arrives." The tiny mongoose kept going right on past the canine to lounge against a rock where she could observe them both and see how they reacted to being in the presence of a queen. The classic little smirk that showed her shining fang was exposed as she kept her eyes on the pair, alert in case things went sour. words: 435

RE: If all goes as planned - Temoria - Jun 24 2015 ✿ OOC ✿ she is so confused right now! ✿ ✿ It would seem that the harder she would quake her petite frame, more of the shattering crystal was coming away from her colorless fur. Although there was something that seemed to cause annoyance as well as a weight that seemed to unbalance her equilibrium, a trio of the very crystal she escaped from seem to poke out from her rose hued skin and rise over her shoulders. They caused a strange itching sensation but she chose to ignore the nagging feeling to look at the creature that was trying to help free her from the sticky substance that still clung to her body. ✿ Those albino eyes blinked a few times more, her vision still seemed unclear but as he closed the distance between their bodies she could make out details. Instead of fine hairs coming from his pores, he had a scale-like skin. It was strange to her and yet she could not understand the rationality of such a thought, without words she would simply gaze at this larger beast. Curious to his movements, though it took him a moment to remain still, her long appendage seemed to sway back and forth in a rhythmic motion as if to signal to him that she was a friend. That she was happy to not be alone, grateful for his presence. ✿ Leisurely the child seemed to attempt her first movements, one of her paws lifted before replacing itself on the ground but a little further than its previous location. She did this a few times to close the distance between the two of them, opening her lips to speak but ended up closing the mouth full of razor sharp fangs when another seemed to entered the playing field. ✿ Widening eyes landed on the loud creature as confusion seemed to enter her mind and facial features, who was this new addition? Golden fur flashed as she circled the couple before settling on a rock nearby, what was a queen? What was she, why was she smaller than the scaled beast before her? Questions circled in her mind and yet she did not utter a word, not because she was preventing herself but because she could not understand how to form such words to usher her inquiries through. Instead she tilted her skull to the side as her radar-like ears moved to emphasize this movements, moving her gaze to the lizard as if to ask him to speak for her. RE: If all goes as planned - Ghanyarah - Jun 24 2015 The lizard sat back, trying to think of a way to clean off the little predator. She was a big goopy mess, and she was starting to shake the rest of the glistening chrysalis off of her when he spotted the twin sets of rainbow spires sprouting from her shoulders. Ghanyarah's brows rose, looking them up and down. They were glistening and reflectively, certainly very pretty to behold. The creature was but a pale babe, innocent to the world she had emerged into. He noted her gestures, trying to match them back to what he had seen of Arkrael. Often, he used tail waving as a sign of aggression, a warning - but the gently wagging appendage, as he could recall, meant friendship in canine body language. Of course, she was naive - she wouldn't know any better. Ghanyarah sniffed and flicked his tongue at her, lowering his head slightly. There, he kept his distance and watched as she began to take her first step, testing the muscles sin her body, feeling the air and the ground for the first time. He observed each of her steps closely, watching as she began to approach him. When she stopped, he tilted his head, hanging on that breath which would hold words, so so curious about what she had to say. But she said nothing, and instead a slender, golden coloured mammal came sidling up beside them, passing them by with a grin at the predator, then onward to lounge on a rock. Ghanyarah narrowed his eyes, arcing around the coyote to follow the mongoose as she walked past them. The komodo dragon halted in front of the coyote, offended at this intruder. He knew this would happen! He had taken too long to open up this Gembound's chrysalis, and the sounds had attracted others! "Back off!" He hissed, lashing his tail as he stood in front of the little coyote. "This thing is mine." Ghanyarah snorted. Sunset eyes fixed on the intruder, looking her over while he contemplated her words. "Or Ghanyarah will eat you, small Queen." He added with a hint of a smug grin. He was just about the same size as the mongoose - with his jaws full of sharp fangs, Ghanyarah was confident he'd be able to take a good few chunks out of her. RE: If all goes as planned - Diamondfang - Jun 25 2015 The little coyote seemed like it had been about to do something. To speak, walk, whatever it was. Diamondfang didn't really care so long as the beast was more interested in what she had to say. Of course, being freshly out of the chrysalis she apparently couldn't say anything and opted for peering at that huge lizard. Fang's grin never faded as she watched the pair, interested to see their reactions. The coyote was certainly confused but the lizard was quite the opposite. He wanted nothing to do with the mongoose. He told her to "back off" and the reaction that the little mongoose gave was probably far from what he wanted. The reddish feliform simply opened her mouth and laughed, a high-pitched sniggering laugh. However, those silver eyes of hers quickly cast about as she looked for an escape route. No need to be caught unawares and become someone's dinner. Within seconds she found a little hole under a tree root, just tiny enough for someone like her to hide out in. Perfect. She could say what she wanted without risk of ending up in someone's belly. "Whoa whoa! Calm down there, scaley-butt! That ain't no way to talk to a Queen. Keep on with that and I'll hafta call the Fire!" The grin was on her face but there was no kindness in it, save for the cruel amusement glittering in her eyes. There was an edge to her words that wasn’t there when she’d first arrived. An edge that said she wasn’t scared to call in backup or get rough if that was needed. The words, however, were actually a bluff since Fire was nowhere around but they didn't need to know that. The edge that was formerly in her words now evaporated and cruel glint left her gaze. "As for that thing bein' yours I don't think that's real polite! After all, she's a livin' creature like us. Not a possession and certainly not a ‘thing’. She's got great beauty and should be treated as such, not paraded around like some silly toy, capiche?" The little mongoose casually started picking at a fang with her claw, feigning indifference to being threatened by the lizard. "If she's yours then what's her name? What sort of critter is she? Do ya know that, scaley-butt? Enlighten me, since you walked up to'er and put a collar of ownership around 'er neck." Pfft, as if he owned anything. No one could be owned... Well... except for her own bodyguards and underlings but she'd never be so bold as to say such out loud. words: enough
tagged: Temoria, Ghanyarah ooc: I've had this typed since yesterday... muse: 7/10 "Talking looks like this." Thinking looks like this... RE: If all goes as planned - Temoria - Jun 28 2015 ✿ OOC ✿ ✿ ✿ Her form was small, frail, it was not a body of a predator but of prey. She acted like it as well, shaking out of confusion, merely staring at the new creature with wide eyes. She seeker out the one who found her, the one that helped her break from her prism and yet he called her a thing? What did that mean, she was not sure but he had claimed her as his own. ✿ Delicate movement seemed to come from the albino pup, closing any distance that might be between herself and the lizard like creature. She allowed her sensitive hair to brushed against his left flank as he protected her from this new being, this loud and obnoxious weasel. ✿ They seemed to bicker, threatening each other verbally. She asked for proof, wanted him to say the child's name and what she was but how could he when she did not know herself? What was her name? It was then a gentle sound came from the back of her mind, Temoria, was that her name? ✿ Shaking her skull she looked at their surroundings, looking at the vibration of glowing flora. Maybe she could? Without thinking she tried to draw energy from the tall crystals on her shoulders, a shimmer came from her own stone as she drew light from the glowing cave. It was difficult but she tried, her eyes finally opened as a fragmented beam of rainbow lights was forced between the two bickering creatures. Dissipating after a few short moments, causing a soft shimmer similar to when snow would bounce the sun off it, before disappearing completely. RE: If all goes as planned - Ghanyarah - Jun 30 2015 As she laughed, the dragon felt chills crawl along his spine. His eyes narrowed, and if he had malleable mammalian lips, they would have curled back into a snarl. Instead, Ghanyarah stared with mild irritation at the mongoose as she cackled and then threatened to call someone or something named "Fire". The lizard blinked and tilted his head, curious and and underwhelmed at the same time. He didn't know what Fire was, and while it was probably a good enough threat to just throw around, he had no reason to be afraid until he saw the actual offender itself. Until then, the lizard would reserve judgment and utter a sharp "Tch!" in response. The mongoose then started to scold him for claiming that the little coyote, freshly emerged, was his. Well, who else's was she then? Ghanyarah had found her first, and he wanted her, so that made her his. The creature questioned him, but Ghanyarah wasn't afraid to come up with an answer. Sure, he couldn't really come up with a name on the spot, but he could produce a title or something like that. He chuffed and parted his jaws to answer her, before the albino coyote suddenly made a move to distract them both. A beam of glistening, polychromatic light filled the space between them. The air glittered like the surface of water, catching colours. It mystified him, definitely enough to distract him from the argument for at least a couple minutes. The komodo dragon stepped back, for a moment startled and fearful of the light - but he shifted his gaze to the mongoose, and deduced that it couldn't have come from her. It must have come from the coyote! Ghanyarah turned his head, settling his gaze on her. They asked a silent question, what was that for? After all, Ghanyarah could handle this on his own. The coyote didn't really have a choice in the matter, regarding who she'd rather be 'claimed' by - be it the mongoose of the komodo dragon. He was hers no matter what. "See?" He snorted and looked back at Diamondfang. "This one wants to stay here. Oh and also, she is a Little Hairy Big Teeth, for your information. That's also her name. Obviously." Ghanyarah rolled his eyes. |
