Rafael emerges from his chrysalis high among the cliffs and approaches several gembounds. They do not pay much heed to him though and so he leaves, uninterested.

002. Cold and Hungry

Rafael wanders around, lost and cold. His magic, dispel, flares up, resulting in it backfiring and causing the peryton to crash into a building. Vazi comes to his rescue and treats him with kindness. He leads him away to Wynry and Rafael follows.

003. All these pieces broken and scattered

For the first time since his birth, the peryton stretches his wings and learns to fly. He catches a cave deer as prey and reveals his sadistic, violent tendencies in torturing and playing with his food before killing it cruelly. This is the first time Rafael has tasted meat and he likes it.

004. Quest: The Fiery Pit

Rafael wanders through the Monoceros gorge, and comes across the fiery pit with the dragon and lamb inside. He taps his hoof gently at the entrance to awaken them to no success. A blind owl enters the pit and might have gotten squashed by the dragon so he swoops in and saves the owl, carrying him back up the pit into safety. He spies gembounds taking stones and looks to see if there are more - upon realizing that there aren't any left, he promptly loses interest and leaves.

005. Shadows

Rafael wanders into Canis and notices a pile of bones. He battles Giggle and emerges triumphant. This thread reveals his viciousness once more as he attempts to gouge out the hyena’s eyes, scoring a critical success and thus leaving her with laceration across her face. He also proves to be a masochist, revelling in the pain that flesh-eating fungi Giggle conjured caused across his shoulders and back. He emerges triumphant, but experiences back pain and difficulty flying for some time post-battle.

006. Sledgehammer

Rafael was keen in tasting the bark of the Divine but failed twice, in his attempts. His actions attract the attention of Silver who successfully breaks some bark off a branch and lets it clatter to Rafael. Feeling insulted, both of them engage in a vicious fight to a point where the sadistic peryton attempts to force-feed Silver. Eventually, Silver dies and the price the peryton pays is the loss of his antlers from 8/7/2015 to 22/7/2015. He is left with two curved, jagged stubs for antlers.

007. Banging the drum

Rafael plays with his reflection in Polaris River and is soon alerted to the presence of a sickly, blind dog called Magdalena. He taunts, teases and harasses her, playing into the girl’s anxieties and fears. Meantime, Black, another dog, watches from the shadows. They eventually leave with Mag leading Black to Usui.

Rafael plays to his innocent, fawn-like nature to manipulate Makyna into caring for him and she offers to take him to Pisces.

009. Blue Wine

Rafael followed Makyna to Pisces and comes across Zetos, a black leopard. He wonders if Makyna's home is a place where big cats roam.

Rafael tracks down Vazi and comes across Vazi and Wynry playing in puddles. He is highly unimpressed, to say the least.
