BIRTH - Sobek - Nov 10 2019 He was unlucky to have been born here. But the little sprout had germinated deep within the soft mud of the Dead Marsh of all places. The newborn gemling pushed forth his crocodilian head from the ground. Soft, uneasy chirps come from his throat. They were instinctual- something he inherited from his form- but he expected no mother to scoop him up her jaws and carry him to safety. However, he knew exactly where to go. Not far, the glare of the murky waters hit his bulbous, jade eyes. There is safe! He thought. There I swim! Wriggling free of the mud, he slid down the bank and shot towards the water's edge. "Listen to me." Thoughts... TAG: // OOC: RE: BIRTH. - Game Master Pluto - Nov 10 2019 A fog settles ominously over the still water and dead trees loom overhead.
All is quiet in the Dead Marsh... for now. RE: BIRTH - Sobek - Nov 10 2019 In the blink of an eye, the little crocodile raced into the water with a splash and disappeared beneath its murky depths. For a moment, there was movement under the surface before he sunk deep enough to mask his presence. The only evidence left behind were ripples, and those too dissipated in the stillness. Submerged in the dark, soupy water, he could have swam off to anywhere in the Dead Marsh. The yolk in his belly was insured the newborn that he needn't worry about food for at least one cycle. Until then, all he had to do was hide and learn, but one day, if he survived, the little crocodilian might just grow big enough to compete against Hydra's other predators. -Exit Sobek- "Listen to me."
