cylindrical peak - Tyr - Nov 25 2019

Tyr liked this room. The spots on the ceiling sparkled nicely above him, entrancing him- he could live here, if he'd wanted, but he'd already built up his home in the room with the crystal reaching far above him. Here, though, he could visit for a time at least- and he needed to visit Monoceros, just like the goose had directed him.

He couldn't resist the second spire he'd seen in his existence, though. Maybe he was just drawn to tall things, hm? It was odd- much more like a nest built by itself than having grown from the ground. Conclusions came rapidly to him as he neared it, wings aching from the flight yet empowered by the chance to explore. There were slats in the sides by the roof. Every so often, a glint caught his eye- were there gems in there? All about it, too, rested gorgeous examples of crystal. Did it expand inside?

Oh, this was just too much not to stop for. Taking a few circling glides down, Tyr soon fluttered to a stop by an entrance he could actually fit through instead of worrying about struggling into one of the openings up top. There should be passageway up, right?

Peering in brought the visage of more odd structures. They seemed obvious- used for elevation of grounded creatures? Ah, he didn't need that! He was blessed with wings- ego brought himself to thinking loudly in his head as he flared a wing out at the thought. He'd never seen these before, but why should he need to know about them now? He was above them, literally, as he took to the air once more, raising up and streaking in the spiral up and up and up.

The hollow room was quickly revealed to him as he neared the peak. Ah- yes! Gems left by an unknown being (he'd've known it was a particular cheetah if he'd been here cycles ago) caught his eyes. Yes.. This would do nicely for a nest, but he already had his own, no? Drawn to land, Tyr couldn't stop his feathers from tingling in excitement as he ran a wing wrist over an orange specimen. Were they brought here, or were they grown? If they were grown, was there a spell for it? The mere thought sent shivers up his spine. If there was a spell, he HAD to learn it. No questions asked. It'd be absolutely perfect for his own abode back in the crystal room.

Ah, but, he could learn with a spell, no? Reaching deep into his wells of magic, Tyr took in a deep breath and planted his talons firmly at the center of the room, hoping for a glimpse into the past to see just what had happened with the crystals about him.

RE: cylindrical peak - Game Master Dark - Nov 25 2019

The room shifted, subtly--darker, newer. Motes of dust spun and glowed in the dim light shafting through.

Several acid-green eyes shifted, visible, and a black shape seemed to extract itself from the deeper shadows, turning, moving in silence to stare down.

One way, then another, out of the tower, biding its time, attentively staring down at the cave below.

Keeping watch.
