I feel it coming - Yurei - Jan 14 2020

Yurei's travel through the cavern she brought her to a place She had never been at until now, a place unlike anything she had ever seen, a palace where up in the roof several if not hundreds and thousands of crustal sand diamonds created an spectacle in which together formed such a fantastic piece of art. And the woman wondered how could that even be possible. And one may could ask why was she here at all. Well let's say she was seeking for something, something she had been considering for quite long but only until now, was capable of gaining the enough courage to come at once. What could that be? Well during her time away from the rest of the world, she had heard of a group of guardians. Known as the Seven, but as any rumors they lacked of detail or veracity that could be actually ascertainable. All she had heard was that those under the name were guardians who protected those within. But that was all she knew, and the need of seeking answers pushed her to finally come.

What she was trying to do today could be called inverse of what she wanted her life to be. A life of complete loneliness and be left alone by others. Maybe she was just curious, or maybe the fact if maybe getting protection was something Yurei felt interest in. Anyways she was here, hopping the rumors of this beings thejr home weren't fake. And there she waited.

"I am lost..."

OC- Yurei is attempting to contact anyone from the Seven. Despite those I tagged everyone is free to join this thread.

The brief white form, the quiet voice, called his attention to it. It was not a small creature--it was large; slender, but seemingly powerfully-built, and quite snow white.

Pride made these notes as he approached, his own limbs carrying him with dainty grace down over the platform upon which sat the ancient Throne. The stone clicked beneath his hooves, the diamonds at his throat glinting in Orion's mock-starlight.

"Hello," he called out softly, his voice flute-like in its musical tones. "Can I help you in some way?"

It was not the false offer for help that veiled beneath it a demand for a reason to be there. It was, instead, a genuine offer--tentative, friendly, and with the shifting-away body language that suggested that if the white wolf needed nothing, and wanted no company, he would be glad to leave her alone. But there was nothing fawning about him, either. It was a greeting of equals, with respect offered and expected, by nature, in turn.

She waited patiently ,despite feeling a swirl of insecurity and anxiety as she didn't know what was going to happen from no on, what if those here weren't by guardians but instead killers? What if she was instead exposing herself to a place where evil could be roaming within? She was certainly walking a thin line between a heaven and a hell. She certainly wasn't sure if she was doing the best of choices, but the only way she could know was by trying atleast. Should she be wrong she was ready to run away or use all she had in her disposal to get out alive.

For now she only had to wait. An de luckily her call was answered as at the distance a creature came to her way. An animal similar to Aran but larger. Ears flattened and a submissive posture was placed upon her body. "Hello," they said to which the woman would responde. "Greetings good sir.My name I see Yurei, a pleaserue to meet you..." Polite yet with fear in her voice. "Can I help you in some way?" "I...well I have heard of you while I was in my exile of social affairs , I was told there was a group who dedicated themselves to defend those who needed it...but also with training.." She explained, with her voice breaking a part do to her apprehension. "I am interested...and ill greatly appreciate any information I could get" She admitted looking away.

"I am lost..."

Pride tilted his head just slightly as he listened. Her manner of speaking was a little strange, but nothing he couldn't easily understand--and... ahh. Exile. Perhaps that was why.

"My name is Pride. It is a pleasure to meet you, in turn, Yurei," he began, bowing his head briefly. "And you have come to the right place, yes. We are the Seven, though we are fewer at the moment; it is only a name. But we are guardians, and we will protect those who need it. Do you seek protection, then--or to be trained as a protector? Or do you seek information about us?" he added, curiously.

"And may I ask--why were you exiled, and from whom?"

As he asked this, Pride sent a quiet request along the mental link he shared with his familiar. A moment later, a small, white arctic hare--with a greenish gemstone around one eye--hopped into sight by his side, sitting up to sniff and peer at the wolf.

"My name is Pride. It is a pleasure to meet you, in turn, Yurei," She nodded shyly, ears remained flattened against the back of her skull, tail dropped and a somehow submissive stance. She wasn't pretending who she wasn't, this was nothing but Yurei's normal stage, a passive and fearful one. "The pleasure I see mine.." She responded politely, looking up to his eyes. "And you have come to the right place, yes. We are the Seven, though we are fewer at the moment; it is only a name. But we are guardians, and we will protect those who need it. Do you seek protection, then--or to be trained as a protector? Or do you seek information about us?" She took her time to process and think very well what he said. And a big relief came when the man comfirmed she wasn't in the wrong place, with the wrong people. It seemed luck was on her side today.

Two questions came after his explanation. "I would like to learn both things. Being protected and to learn to protect not only myself but others...I have been prey of fear all of my life , fear to being around others, to speak and allow others to interact with myself. I want to...learn to conquer my fears...I want to be strong of heart..l" Her words came a bit broken, but tat was due to her fear, and besides she haven't spoke too many creatures until now.

"And may I ask--why were you exiled, and from whom?" "From no one Mr.Pride, I did it myself.." She didn't know how would he react but she preferred to tell the truth than lying. "The reasons were those I mentioned before, I wanted to stay away from others some time..I wasn't feeling safe ...I was 3 cycles old when I went to My exile, until now.." A Snow White hare joined them , sniffing and looking at her. She looked down feeling nervous.

Pride studied her curiously as she spoke.

Fear; anxiety. He knew those who had suffered from those things, either on their own or trailing along, like an unwelcome guest, behind past trauma. He gave her a reassuring dip of his head, and his expression and voice--though still measured--were warm as he replied.

"I know those who have felt fear the way you describe it. Merely to come to speak to me--a stranger--shows great courage, then," he assured her, praise in his words. "I would be glad to both look after you, and to teach you what I know. My own strength lies in magic, though I know that many are fighters, or thinkers." Not that he wasn't a thinker, but he certainly didn't fight with his mind alone. He briefly thought of Kera--also a white wolf, but battered, ragged, and gruff. And yet she hadn't been a physical fighter. Instead, she'd been a hero, of sorts, bringing light and strength where it was needed. Perhaps it would be good for Yurei to meet her--if he could find her again.

As Pride continued, he reached out his magic, wrapping the tendrils of his mind and its arcana around a stone that lay upon the ground. It was a little smaller than a wolf's paw, and he raised it to hover between them, turning it idly, and then gently laid it down again, releasing his hold. "Mine is this sort of magic; magic of the mind, of movement, energy and power."

"To look at the more practical side of things, I ought to tell you how we live; there are only a few of us at the moment. We dwelt for the most part in the structures over there," he added, turning to nod an indication at the distant broken city. "Raheerah returned fairly recently and burned a great deal of it, so there is a lot of ash and smoke, soot, and stink. But you are welcome to live in them regardless--or wherever else you like. We have not been called on for any sort of guardian work--though I warn you that the one known as Nemean may come after us, in time, if we do not fulfill an odd task she has given us. She wanted us to kill someone," he added, glancing a warning at Yurei. "She is one of the Masters--do you know what they are? I do not know if you would be held responsible for our actions, but perhaps you can always claim you are not one of us, should it come to that. In the meantime: what sort of magic do you know, if that is what you use? And may I ask how old you are?" he added, as an afterthought. She was an adult--that much was clear; she'd been alone from three cycles of age, and if she'd been alone for a long time then she must be his age, or near to, he thought.

"I know those who have felt fear the way you describe it. Merely to come to speak to me--a stranger--shows great courage, then," "I have been working on it... though I was scared of finding myself in the wrong place, with the wrong people. But I am glad it wasnt the case." The relief was on her words as she felt good with herself. "I would be glad to both look after you and to teach you what I know. My own strength lies in magic, though I know that many are fighters or thinkers." "I see, well I have never fought someone...never had the situation for it..." > She explained with a less frightening voice. "I hate hurting others...but I guess ill have to someday."

Upon finishing her speech, she stood there in silence. And there out of nowhere, a rock of the size of her paw was lifted into the air, surprise invaded her eyes as she gazed at it wondering how it could be possible. "Mine is this sort of magic; magic of the mind, of movement, energy and power." So did it come from him? Her eyes widened a bit. "To look at the more practical side of things, I ought to tell you how we live; there are only a few of us at the moment. We dwelt for the most part in the structures over there," "Thank you..." Passively she would speak as he stared and what would be her new home.

Then he spoke about someone, a master and there he asked her if she knew who they were. She negated with her head, as she really dint know anything about what was going on in the world. "Who do we have to kill?..." She asked a bit scared. But trying to be calm she moved to the other questions. what sort of magic do you know, if that is what you use? And may I ask how old you are?" "I am not too familiarized with what magic i have but is related to the bacteria... and I am eleven cycles old..."

Pride peered at Yurei quizzically.

"You needn't harm others," he replied, somewhat bewildered by this line of thinking. "If you do not wish to fight you might always leave it to those who are willing?" It was a gentle suggestion, his head tilting a little to one side. "But if you wish to learn to defend yourself--or others--I am happy to teach what I know."

Pride gave a bow of his head, and continued: "We do not 'have' to kill anyone. Nemean wished us to seek out someone called Rezik, and kill them. I am trying to find out more," he added, "but as I told her, we are not killers, not by any stretch. I fear she shall have to go unsatisfied."

"Now-... If you do wish to fight--and you don't need to--but if you do wish to learn magic, what is it that interests you? I do not know all that much about illness-magic, that much I will admit, though I know that some use it to provide, ahh... health? Wellness. But that, unfortunately, is not something I can do myself." He thought about it; who could he recommend? But despite briefly running through his memories, he could think of no one off-hand who specialized in that sort of thing.

Maybe Mercurius would know someone?

It bore thinking about; he'd have to find him, and ask him, at some other point. Meanwhile, having said his piece, Pride pushed gently at his magic. In a habitual, inoffensive way, he was a total busybody: and, curious, he tested his magical link, trying to eavesdrop just a little on Yurei's thoughts.
