roots and wings ;; - Bevy - Jun 30 2015 Bevy had been having too many long, tiring days. She retired to her nest, the glowing white lights of the orbs hanging high above, always lighting up her home. Perhaps a bit too much, she thought, nestling down into her nest. She had wanted to do something with her... The spirits in her body. Yet now she simply felt overwhelmed. So she just sent a sort of mental smile in response, feeling a tingle of irritation down her spine. Calypso. She let out a soft laugh as she got up, deciding that there was definitely too much light pouring into her nest. She knew just how to fix it, maybe. I'd wish for Roots to cling to, and Wings to set me free; RE: roots and wings ;; - Bevy - Jun 30 2015 A joy filled her senses as she shifted out of control, feeling the familiar confidence of Ratchie's surefire talent. He took off, swooping through the air to where her vines were laid out. ... And unbeknownst to the young bird, something began to grow, nestling into her feathers. and Wings of independence to seek my destiny. RE: roots and wings ;; - Bevy - Jun 30 2015 Enna picked up as many vines as she could and Ratchie took hold again, flying back to the ridges where the nest was. They landed above it, swapping again-- though by now this was making her feel quite dizzy-- and draped the vines over, setting rocks on the ends so that they made a nice little wall. It made her hiding spot stand out among the southern wall, but that was alright. She had a lot of friends who didn't live in Pisces, and it would be easier for them to find her if her nest was marked. She slipped back inside her den, humming as she fetched out four chunks of rock. They needed another one. To let me know you love me when I done something wrong To show me by example, and helps me learn to choose, To take those actions every day to win instead of lose. RE: roots and wings ;; - Bevy - Jun 30 2015 The bird nodded, looking over the pebbles she had collected. There was the wing shaped one, bright and blue and beautiful. There was a nearly perfect ruby, shaped as if it had been crafted by careful hands except for the one long scratch. There was the shaft of quartz, pure white, that glistened in the orb light. Lastly was a tiny pebble that Enna had scribbled MW and a waterfall into... There was another gem, but it hardly belonged to her. She kept that safe, hidden away from her own guilt as well as any prying eyes. She shivered, a sense of dread coming over her. Out of worry, she built up her health-- thinking about death always put her on edge. To face fears of fallin when I test my wings in flight Don't make my life too easy, it's better if I try, And fail and get back up myself, so I can learn to fly. RE: roots and wings ;; - Bevy - Jul 01 2015 Her magic, however, had been practically all tapped from the glorious growth of fungi that she had subconsciously begun to dig into, and instead of healing herself-- no. Instead of becoming immune to disease, she felt a wave of sickness, the itchiness on her talons growing stronger. She stood up, backing away from the rocks in her nest. What had she done? What was happening? She had never seen anything--.... Death. Death. She had grown death! She had seen Giggle do this before, grow death, she had called it. And they could just be granted, by my Mom and Dad; I wouldn't ask for money or any store-bought things. The greatest gifts I'd ask for are simply Roots and Wings. ;; bevy exit |
