Turn every oops into a.... - Deli - Mar 25 2020

Set immediately after the eating rocks thread.
Deli
Sitting between the four chrysalis, leaning up against one of them, Deli held up their paws. They could see bits of their drawings permanently inscribed on their paw pads and chuckled to themselves. Well, that wouldn't do! They had looked great before. Despite how funny it would be to leave their paws like this, with a phallic object affixed to their skin, they would rather have their blue-green paws back.

They pulled their satchel close and began rummaging around, pulling out vials until they reached the bottle that held green...and it was all empty.

Well, they weren't going to sit around and preen their fur - time to go do some hunting. They jumped to their feet and set off, hopefully not too far into Polaris, to find some green. Back the way they had come from, they rummaged around but didn't find any flashes of color. Ah, well, they could go farther. It was fine.

Deli
It didn't take too much longer of searching for Deli to reach into a crevice and pull out a handful of small feathers, left behind by some Gembound probably. They turned them over in their paws for a moment before nodding. These were a good color. They had some blue back in their bag, they could grab that too and put a little in to make that neon color that they liked to wear so much.

They headed back to their little camp, a spring in their step.

Deli
Once they were there, Deli sat themselves down, leaning against the chrysalis again, and pulled out a vial of bright blue paint. Popping open the top, they set a few drops on their paws, eyeing how much they'd need with the green to match the color on their paws. They set it aside and began mashing the feather between their paws, spitting a bit to make it more paint-like. It took a little while - this wasn't as refined a method as, say, Elspet had, but it was something. Eventually, the green feathers mashed down into an bright, electric green, close enough to their existing paw color to be acceptable.

They looked at their paws and focused, sending magic sparking up through their skin until they felt the familiar warmth on their paws. The color settled and they wiped the excess paint on the stones beside them, leaving clean, blue-green on their paws once again.

They grinned and settled themselves back again. Maybe they'd take a nap.
