beware the dog - Orthoclase-Alpha - Apr 13 2020 It'd finally settled down into restless sleep, and awakened somewhere between three and sixteen hours later. Time-keeping wasn't an internal clock's priority where healing was involved, apparently. Not that the Caves provided many good measures of how much had passed. With a grunt, Alpha rocked up to its chest, water dripping from sopping-wet quills and along chitinous plates. Acidic eyes gave a once-over and found that while the bleeding had stopped, its shell was still most certainly shattered. On impulse, it grabbed a splintered shard between its teeth, whining softly when it didn't immediately give out to either a piece of molt or altogether. Jaws feeling out for another, it got the same results. Maybe its exoskeleton wasn't so disposable. Mane seeming to droop around its neck rather than stand on end, the orthoclase gave a light scan of its surroundings before shifting slightly to the side. Leaning on its left elbow, it stared down the cracks in its scutes, urging magic to approach them and do... something. Nothing. He had forgotten the toll simply moving was, but he had no choice but to deal with it, so deal with it he would. Hunger gnawed at him but he ignored it for finding anyone that might tell him of the current events. Was the Bonebound even living? He turned a corner and suddenly wasn't alone. Alpha set its jaw, and picked a different spot to lap at. Stone-magic idly - finally - got to work on the part it'd just cut itself on, as if reminded that the shattered plates shouldn't be so. Chitin pushed and pulled into place; a process that ought be more painful than it was. Were it not for the refreshing coolness and numbness of such magic, the Orthoclase might've stopped in its grooming. "Hey, you part of the Bonebound?" That stopped it. Alpha blinked, head whipping around to finally land on... some manner of beast. It was immense, for certain, but without any hind legs. The orthoclase's quills stopped rattling in tension, but it continued to regard the other with a wary glare. An arm shifted to obscure the scar running down its left flank as best as possible. Whatever else he said, it had no clue what that meant. It just narrowed its eyes and responded to the first question with a dry "no." And it went back to licking away and nursing it's wounds, ignoring any further attempts at communication. exiting due to inactivity @Scarborough
