Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 13 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint Oleander wandered through Canis for a while, kicking bones, wondering what to do next. She'd forgotten about Gatto by now, those deep infatuated feelings already a thing of the past. Without them she suddenly felt lost, alone, empty of all emotions. She didn't feel any stronger from Hydra, she didn't feel any different then she'd had before, besides the empty feeling in her chest, but deep down she was different. Hardened. More fearless. Persistent and ready for anything else life had to throw her way. RE: Her Awakening - Ischium - Apr 13 2020
@Oleander RE: Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 13 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint Oleander continnued stepping through the bones, beginning to lean down and nosing over the wet stones and old carcasses in search of something that she didn't quite need right now, but it would at least fill out the time until one of the others in the tunnel awoke - food. Canis had little to offer in terms of sustenance but a little ways forward she found a small clump of weeds growing through the cracks in the rocks. Enough that she could open her mouth and tear them free, munching on them carefully. Her expression twisted at the flavor. Oily, stale, kind of gross, honestly, tasting like the murky ponds around Canis, but it was food. Once she'd swallowed, she wondered if she should even bother finding more - wouldn't it all taste like this? But, well, she had nothing else to do and the one mouthful had made her stomach growl so she continued pacing forward, slowly, nosing the ground for anymore plantlife. @Oleander RE: Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 13 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint Oleander turned around with surprise when someone suddenly was speaking behind her. At first, she didn't see them but then looked down, blinking. A dog? Either way, she flinched at the little creature and cantered herself around to face it, leaning down. "You scared me! I didn't hear you behind me." She looked down at the weeds beneath her feet and shrugged. "It's not the best I've had, but I can't really eat rats. Why kill to eat when I can just graze?" She leaned down to take another mouthful, cringing. "I'd like to go to Eridanus sometime," she continued once she'd swallowed. "There's apparently all kinds of grasses there to try." @Oleander RE: Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 13 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint Oleander blinked. "Bound? What does that mean?" She sniffed, eyes narrowing a bit at his laughter. That was kind of mean. She didn't like being laughed at, even for something as simple and stupid as this. "Well...just this kind of grass! I've had grass that tastes really good! I do not think rats are fun to catch. Just thinking about it make my skin crawl. Why would I kill to eat just so I can have a better flavor?" She shook her head. "Makes no sense to me." At her feet, at a little call, a few stray weeds popped out of the ground. She lowered her head to take a bite of them as well. Not much better, but at least they tasted more fresh. "It's just this cave, the grass here tastes like shit." She paused her chewing for a moment. "War? What war? There was a war?" She swallowed and thought for a moment. "I don't think Eridanus is mucky or sticky or gross. All I've heard is that its covered with greenery and all kinds of plants and that its actually quite beautiful. Maybe there's even plants there that you'd like to eat." RE: Her Awakening - Ischium - Apr 13 2020
@Oleander RE: Her Awakening - Oleander - Apr 13 2020 Oleander Melt all your art and drink the paint Oleander nodded, looking around, as if expecting other members of the Bonebound to just come strolling up. When none appeared, she looked back at Ischium with curiosity. "How are bones your best friends? How do you listen to them? They don't talk to me." It was a bit of a revolting concept, to "speak" with the dead under her feet, but different things for different people, she guessed. And as Ischium continued to talk and ramble, and as Oleander looked down at him, wonder began to fill her eyes. It was like... things were changing. He was becoming something different or - no, he'd always been like this, she just hadn't seen it before. Oh, he's wonderful. So passionate, so fun. Delightful and so very precious to her. A familiar fluttering filled her chest and at last the emptiness was no more as she felt herself fall far for Ischium. "Yeah, yeah," she mumbled, not really listening and cheeks heating up. "That sounds scary. You must be very b-brave to help them like that. I'll be you're a hero, right?" She realized that she could ask Ischium - right now - to go to Eridanus with her but the thought of, oh my gosh, going all the way to Eridanus with him? Oh she would NOT be able to handle that! "Y-yeah, m-me too! It sounds wonderful!" RE: Her Awakening - Ischium - Apr 13 2020
