A Shot of Espresso - Venti - Jun 10 2020 Venti started their day thinking of their friend, they love their friend Graves! They want to get him something nice, but mushrooms aren't really what they wanna get. So they decided to search around for a cool rock or a neat stick! Which has lead them to searching the undergrowth with wide eyes. And there one was! A rock! They pulled it close with their paw, pulling it out so they could see it better. They scrutinized it carefully. It was...a rock, nothing nice or pretty or to make it stand out. No stripes or sparkles or speckles. It didn't even have a good amount of moss on it. RE: A Shot of Espresso - Venti - Jun 10 2020 No, no there's gotta be a better rock. They felt around blindly with their paw, reaching for something they couldn't even see. But then their pad brushed something. There! There was one! It had to be! It was smooth like a rock! But it felt like a different shape then the last one! Maybe it was better!! They eagerly pulled it towards them, excited to see their new find and when it appeared before them, their smile fell and they laid their ears back in irritation. The stick received the same treatment as the rock, a disinterested toss over their shoulder, and then they were putting their whole face under the leaves and ferns. They were going to find a rock for Forgraves even if it left them cut up from thorns. RE: A Shot of Espresso - Venti - Jun 10 2020 Ok this was getting to be frustrating and proving fruitless so far.
Maybe they should check one more time in this area before moving onto a new one. Yeah, they would do that. Check one more time in this bush and undergrowth before they moved onto another. Their eyes squinted in the dim light but they could swear something was...glinting. They reached with both paws, curling their nails around the rock and pulling it close to their chest. It was big, big enough it would prevent them from talking if they carried it to Graves, but that wasn't important. What was important was the fact it had a pretty, bright green moss growing on the top of it and the grey stone underneath occasionally sparkled in the light. |
