How is everyone!?

Hey yall, I know it's kinda crazy everywhere so I hope everyone is good and safe! That being said, as a reminder, we have turned off the auto-inactivity checker so you don't have to worry about characters getting sorted into Inactive if you need to take a break here and there, or a long absence. Your health and well-being is always top priority and we'll be here, so please feel free to take things at your own pace.

As for myself, I have been slow/inactive recently because I'm dealing with an impactful loss in my family as well as some other things, so I'm a little more drained than normal. Please always feel free to @ me if you need me, especially if an important thread is lagging because of me! I still check the site and the GM Requests, but I may only be able to do a couple of things here and there for a while.

And of course, always feel free to message me at any time for any reason! I have a pretty weird sleep schedule but my phone is always on silent, so you don't have to worry about what time you send me something. I'll respond to messages when I can and if it's an on-site issue, I'll see it gets addressed as soon as possible.

General RP etiquette and Quest/Event thread reminders.

Earlier today I addressed some issues that were brought to my attention and I hope the players that felt impacted by the issues feel as if their concerns were resolved—and going forward, I'd like to post a quick reminder about our Roleplay Guide. While we don't mind OOC plotting on Origin, I want to stress that it is essentially an on-going campaign and some things should be left up in the air for IC actions to decide. And of course, IC actions have IC consequences, and should not be heavily OOC-influenced. We try to keep the narrative as open as possible and you are always free to explore as much of it as you like; we don't have rules against trying this or trying that, so if you want your character to do something, please feel free to have them try! (I'm sorry I spoiled the Pisces waterfall lmfao BUT THERE'S STILL MYSTERY TO BE HAD... IF YOU... PERHAPS.. DECIDED TO GO STILL..... WINK)

I also want to stress that all quests and events are available and open to join at any time UNLESS there has been a post that specifically states the thread has been closed to new members joining, which happens if the group moves too far into an area or if the quest has progressed enough that new members joining would not be able to participate. We will always announce if this has happened but we try not to limit these threads. If an ongoing thread is still available to be joined, we will always try to make announcements reminding players that the quest is open and available for new characters to jump in. Characters can be any age and you can even join with multiple characters, if you have more than one that might be interested!

Even if the thread is a few pages long, if it hasn't been stated that it is closed, then it is still open and available for new characters to jump in! :D

ORIGIN 4TH OLYMPICS!!

Every year we usually have a fun Olympics event, and this year is no exception! However, with everything going on, we are curious to know what might work best for everyone. This will be the fourth annual Olympics, and they usually consist of Wrestling, Magicka, and Obstacle course events! Check out last year's Olympics if you'd like to see how they go.

Please respond to this quick two-question survey so we can gauge the best timeline, and whether or not if you'd like to see additional characters per person allowed:

Origin Olympics 2020 Survey!

The responses are anonymous and do not require or record your OOC name or email!
