FAT JUICY RATS - Kerberos - Jul 08 2015 Run boy run! This world is not made for you!
Run boy run! They’re trying to catch you! Kerberos had a vague feeling that he wasn't really welcome here in Canis. He didn't like this feeling one bit, and did his best not to think about it. After all, Giggle had said he could come back whenever he want and have tasty bones-- though apparently that was somehow wrong. There were tasty huge chickens he couldn't eat and it frustrated him to no end. The hyena had told him about the rats and so, for now, he stuck to the walls of Canis and hunted rats. He was still pretty bad at hunting, but there was no river for the His claws scrapped the earth as he did his best to stay quiet. He inched closer, growing still when one rat so much as twitched. He bared his three sets of teeth and lunged, hoping to kill a rat as he sent them all scattering away. Yet his paws hit nothing, his ears filled with the horrible noise of squealing as the rodents fled from his massive form. Cave rats might not be the smartest things, but they knew when a giant dog was trying to devour them and they certainly liked living. Unfortunately, that left Kerberos feeling quite sad. He sat down, raised his muzzles and began to whine and bay, wordless toddler tantruming from a big huge baby puppy. RE: FAT JUICY RATS - Bones - Jul 08 2015 Curled up asleep was a black-white-and-tan pup. The ground around him was bloodied, scraps of fur and pieces of small bones scattered around near by. An afternoon nap, he wanted to call it - but Bones had no concept of time, nevermind anyone knowing what time it was in these caves. Regardless, it was a nap that did not last long. The wild dog found his head lifted and both, comically large ears lifted as high as they'd go, eyes huge. A sound he hadn't heard before crashed through the air, Distressed whines, perhaps from another pup? A friend? He widened his eyes at the thought. He didn't have friends - just his mother. And although he had his strict policies, he carefully creeped around, making sure to be as quiet as he could as he followed the source of the crying, eyes huge and ears lifted. Slowly, it came into view. A white head, att... two heads? Three heads? It took a moment before it dawned on him - this was the creature he heard about. He couldn't recall the name, but he was sure it didn't matter right now. Instead he watched the beast wail, wary and cautious as he waited in silence for it to make a move. Run boy run! They’re trying to catch you! Kerberos whines and whimpered until he was worn out and tired. He flopped down on his belly and huffed, wishing that a rat would simply fall into his paws-- but by now they had all been scared away. His tail twitched and then curled around his flank, his chest rising and falling with his heavy, uneven breathing, gasping for the breath he had lost from his big baby fit. His middle head flopped down on his forepaws, settling down as if to take a nap, but the vicious red eyes that belonged to the crimson nosed face caught a flash of brown fur. At first, he thought it was a rat, and woofed softly to the other heads, His middle head slowly raised to look at Bones, looking relatively bothered by the whole affair. RE: FAT JUICY RATS - Bones - Jul 08 2015 This was it. Now he was in too deep. All three heads stared at him expectantly. Did he tell his mother he loved her before he left the den? .. He didn't. He was a horrible son. Bones tried not to whine as he thought. What if she didn't know? He began to hobble from paw to paw when he realised six eyes were still on him. "I'm Bones," he said hesitantly, fur bristling along his neck a little. Perhaps he could still run, if need be. He may have already missed the chance to turn and flee, however. He licked his muzzle quietly, before he spoke again, "Are you hungry?" RE: FAT JUICY RATS - Kerberos - Jul 08 2015 Run boy run! This world is not made for you!
Run boy run! They’re trying to catch you! The middle head groaned when the pup replied. RE: FAT JUICY RATS - Bones - Jul 09 2015 Bones was silent, staring. He didn't want to be eaten, and he had a feeling he shouldn't bring this creature back home to the den. "Everything is dry," he said slowly, turning. "Stay here." Before the pup even pressed his snout to the ground, he assumed that the hound would in fact, not stay there. It didn't matter much, at least - he wouldn't let this thing go hungry. He pricked up his ears and began to carefully sniff around. As he moved off to follow food-scent, he relaxed. The thought of the three-headed monstrosity left his mind and he focused simply on hunting. He knew the rats wouldn't run off into the open, they would scuttle off into little hiding places, out of sight. He could hear one moving around between two rocks. He creeped, and then he lunged towards the opening, jaws snapping and paws scrambling to grab the rat. The wild dog found his teeth sinking into something skinny and hairy. It scrambled and pulled and flailed, but he only clamped down further on the rodent; it didn't take long until it stopped moving all together. Satisfied, he turned and began trotting back to where he left the other gembound to drop the rat back at his feet, if he hasn't moved away. RE: FAT JUICY RATS - Kerberos - Jul 25 2015 Run boy run! This world is not made for you!
Run boy run! They’re trying to catch you! Kerberos, for once, listened to the smaller pup that he could probably eat very easily. After all, the pup was offering to bring him food and since he couldn't catch any himself, well. The fluffy white hound plopped down and settled his heads on his paws, tail curling around his pristine (if not a bit dusty) frame. Hunger grumbled in his belly, but slowly but surely he indeed did fall asleep. Snores came from the large muzzles of the young puppy, rolling on to his side, paws twitching as-- in his dreams-- he chased strange wild dog puppies chasing rats. The cavern known as Canis didn't seem to mind having the dog around, the bones simply glad not to be disturbed by his slobber for a bit longer. @Bones :: short tag so we can get this thread going/finished up maybe sometime soon eheh;;;; RE: FAT JUICY RATS - Bones - Jul 25 2015 Bones had been standing there for a while now, with the rat in his jaws. He looked left, then right, then placed the rat down and nudged it a little closer to the three-headed dog before he stepped back a little. Perhaps, now, it would be a good time to run. He looked over his shoulder, before he looked back at Kerberos. He lowered his head a little as he gave a meek bark, trying to wake the beast up. RE: FAT JUICY RATS - Kerberos - Jul 26 2015 Run boy run! This world is not made for you!
Run boy run! They’re trying to catch you! They say let sleeping dogs lie, but if you bring them meat-- well, that's a whole different story! The cerberos monster snored away until the small bark made one of his six ears twitch, and with a sleepy yawn the crimson nosed head blinked away, snapping his jaws. Once the other two heads had picked the thing clean, swallowing a few bones and crushing the rest into gooey gore, the pup rose and tromped over to the puppy, stopping before he got too close. The dog seemed quite proud of himself at this, sitting down and wagging his tail. @Bones RE: FAT JUICY RATS - Bones - Aug 01 2015 Bones nodded, though was suprised when Kerberos tore into the meal. It was horribly messy, for such a big thing eating a small thing. The dog watched with a wary eye as the rat was tossed his way, peering down at it before he craned his neck down to sniff. He didn't realise how hungry he was until the tangy smell of fresh-kill filled his nose. He shook his coat slightly before he carefully tore the flesh off the remains; crunching and munching until he sat down to give himself a post-meal bath. When he was done, he licked his muzzle and nodded. "Thank you," he said, reaching over to carefully lick the middle-head's forehead. |
