The Kingdom, Retaken - Rift (Original) - Jul 24 2020 The cycles spent in Monoceros hadn't been wasteful - The Kingdom had spent a good amount of time growing their own garden in the hot, windy cave, and had done their best with the bare resources that they'd had at their disposal. But Rift still missed their old home - the damp soil beneath his feet, the trees and ferns, the great tree that they lived around and the garden he had spent his entire life cultivating. Open to all Kingdom of Eridanus members and anyone wanting to join! RE: The Kingdom, Retaken - Voidseer - Jul 24 2020
Binh had been resting. He'd, ever so slowly, managed to slither halfway across Eridanus over the course of a few days. A short distance for a long time, yes, but it's hard to get anywhere when your head alone weighs double your body. He hadn't seen anyone else, save for the occasional jungle mouse or butterfly he gobbled up, and came to rest near some dilapidated clearing. The cobra was young and rather a hermit, so he had no idea this was once a kingdom's garden. To him it was just a bunch of funny plants. Either way, he liked it here, so here he stayed. RE: The Kingdom, Retaken - Yew - Jul 24 2020 Yew was sleeping near Uncle Mercy's garden. Her cloak made a wonderful bed, soft beneath her where the branches poked hard. Since she'd gotten it, she'd slept well - though the nest, back in their tunnel, hadn't been so soft, it reminded her of it. Though the Berries hadn't been family, not truly, she had grown up sleeping in the nest, and the familiarity helped her to sleep dreamlessly. Where Mercy was, she didn't know - but the loud call of a voice sure woke her up. She scrambled to her paws, tilting her head and perking the ear she had left, and - wait, that voice sounded familiar, Rift? But weren't the rest of the Kingdom still in Monoceros? Still, though, it was Rift and Rift was her King. So she hurried to clamber into her cloak, and bounded to the edge of the clearing that sat around the tree, dropping down on her butt and reaching out, catching flickers of paw steps in the area - who all was here? RE: The Kingdom, Retaken - Sebastian - Jul 24 2020
Sebastian was dozing. RE: The Kingdom, Retaken - Scout - Jul 24 2020 Scout's ears flicked and her head shot up, pausing mid-chew at the loud call. Kingdom of Eridanus? She took a step forward, eyes lighting up. A kingdom of the forest... friends of the forest! People like her! People who strove to protect the flora and fauna that lived here. The springbok stayed true to her name, prancing like she had springs in her legs. She leapt over foliage and darted down narrow deerpaths, her brown fur a streak as she darted though the brush. She skidded to a stop, tail up and head raised high, her dark purple eyes scanning the garden. "Hello!", she chirped, her steps exaggerated, legs lifting up higher than they needed to as she trotted forward, stopping close by but not so close that it was uncomfortable (though actually, it had to be at least ten feet). Oh there's a snake. Scout sprung away in alarm before realizing it was a greater and looked at it closely, pity reigning in her chest as she realized it could barely move its head. She shook her head and looked back to Rift and the newcomer, legs spread just past her shoulders as her tail shook like an excited lamb's. RE: The Kingdom, Retaken - Ketur - Jul 24 2020 There was sounds - many of them. Of gembounds moving around and talking. So much noise. They found themselves curious. Very curious of the sounds passing through their ears. Their legs moved in a requisite manner, needing to move to see the sounds and the gembound that were making them. The stringlike dragon creature was small, that of a child. So much smaller than many that were there. There was many - some words about a kingdom. It seems their birthplace was going to be more busy than it was moments before. "Kingdom?" the creature mimicked, in a short, confused word. |
