Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Aristotle - Aug 04 2020 Ari
Soft bird songs rang out throughout the jungle. It was by the passing of time, early morning. At least that’s what the birds were saying. They had just woken up from their sleeps and were chirping and singing to bring in the day. If one stood still they could hear the movement of other lessers through the underbrush. It was clear the jungle was waking up and becoming quite lively for the day. Broad paws fell silently on the soft green grasses on the ground. His steps were muffled by these broad soft paws, baby blue eyes watched everything with broad curiosity. His full thick mane falling in silken tresses around his face, shoulders and chest. His well muscled body barely made a sound with his passing. The only hint of his passing was his scent left on the leaves he walked past. Perched in his thick silken mane was a small body that was a brilliant golden color clinging to the back of the lion’s head and watching over his head. The lion was here today looking for a good place to grow their new house. He hadn’t seen James in several days and was beginning to grow quite worried, he had gone on several excursions trying to find James but it had been to no avail. So instead of sitting at home worrying Aristotle had decided to take Sun on a little adventure to find possible places for their new tree home he was going to grow. James and Aristotle had spoken about moving back here and he had decided to take the initiative and find new areas for them to live. @Comet RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Sun-Wukong - Aug 04 2020 Tiny hands dug deep into the thick soft fur of fluffy daddy’s mane. His chin rested on fluffy daddy’s head as emerald green eyes watched the area curiously. He was watching the world go by as Fluffy daddy made his way through the jungle. Sun was happy just to be out and in some new place. He of course liked their home, they had trees in the house and plenty of fruit for him to eat. But he didn’t have many things to do. So he was always eager to go on new adventures with either daddy. Though it seemed Fluffy daddy was the one who liked taking him places, and long faced daddy just seemed to like teaching him new things. Like how to climb! Climbing was super fun and it exercised his little muscles and made him stronger. Little backward pointed elf like ears twitched slightly as they caught fluffy daddy’s voice. @Comet RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Comet - Aug 04 2020 Comet stretched and stood up. It had only been one day since she had first emerged from her chrysalis, and she had only just learned to walk. Her legs were still a bit shaky as she stumbled along a mossy path. She lapped some water from a stream and continued walking. She wasn't quite sure what she was looking for. Comet had seen many animals look at her weirdly, as if saying, what are you doing by yourself? Why are you alone? They all had families and groups to live with. She didn't like to rely too much on others, but she imagined it must feel nice to live with animals who made you feel like you belonged. Her thick white fur was covered in a light layer of dew from the wet leaves and she pricked her left ear in search of something to eat. Her right ear was of no use, as it was her stone. The more she walked, the more she got used to her legs, and soon she was able to jog along the path, wondering where it would take her. Comet was going faster now, and she felt her legs moving at a steady rhythm, she closed her eyes. When suddenly, BAM! She had crashed into something. It wasn't a tree, as it was rather soft. She looked up and saw a huge lion with a monkey on its head. "S-- sorry." she hoped they wouldn't be angry at her. @Aristotle @Sun-Wukong RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Aristotle - Aug 04 2020 Ari
Aristotle had been talking with Sun, they had stopped for a moment to check out a small clearing just off the path. The lion looked at it with a scrutinizing stare. It seemed about the right size to use as a new home. However he wasn’t entirely sure how much room would be left after he made their tree home. They would need a good bit of land to use for his garden. As he stood there suddenly Aristotle felt something run into his back leg. RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Sun-Wukong - Aug 04 2020 The little gibbon looked at the clearing giving a soft hum sound of his own as he did. It looked about the right size, and it had water not far away. It seemed like an almost perfect place for them to call home. Suddenly fluffy dad was turning around and bending down. Curiously Sun scooted higher on fluffy daddy’s head in order to get a better look at what had gotten his attention. Emerald eyes were greeted with the sight of a little canine like creature just a bit younger than him. She was snowy white and had a delicate blue gem for a right ear. Sun blinked curiously as he had never seen anything like her before. Without fluffy daddy’s permission he slid off of his head and down onto the ground in front of the girl where he was smaller than the wolf standing on all fours as he did. @Comet RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Comet - Aug 04 2020 Comet
Comet looked up at the big, no, HUGE lion. She was too scared to run, but he greeted her with a friendly smile and asked if she was okay. She returned his smile, She watched the monkey on his back jump down cheerfully. Comet saw that he looked her age, and they were around the same size too. The monkey approached her and reached out to touch her fur, and she gave a slight warning snarl. But the monkey seemed to be of no harm and give her a sniff. She reached out her nose too and gave him a sniff too. He smelled good. Comet smiled, @Aristotle @Sun-Wukong RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Aristotle - Aug 05 2020 Ari
Aristotle looked down at the little girl realizing a little too late just how intimidating he would seem to such a small creature. Sun had always been a very bold explorer, and so had never been intimidated by him. However a gentle smile played over the lion’s muzzle as he lay down on the ground on his belly, his forepaws crossed. The lion watched the girl’s nervous nature, but made no aggressive move and only smiled. The lion lay with his head tilted ever so slightly as he watched the exchange between the girl and the little Gibbon. Even when the girl gave Sun a warning growl he remained calm knowing that her reaction was normal to having someone near instantly upon meeting invading your space. Aristotle knew that the only way Sun would have to learn boundaries the hard way. The lion tilted his head a bit as the girl started to speak but quickly stopped. RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Sun-Wukong - Aug 05 2020 Sun withdrew his hand for a second as the girl growled at him. Well that was rude. Or was he being rude? He wasn’t sure which it was honestly, but he just wanted to touch her fur. She just looked so soft and fluffy. He just wanted to pet her, was that so wrong? Or perhaps petting someone on the first meeting wasn’t entirely polite. Then when he sniffed her she sniffed back. That was an introduction right? @Comet RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Comet - Aug 05 2020 Comet
Comet listened to the big lion lay down and talk about how the monkey was his adopted son then ask where she came from. That sounded nice to her. Comet watched the monkey withdraw his hand when she growled at him, and exclaim that she was very fluffy. Then he scooted a bit closer and reach out his hand to touch her fur again. This time she was okay with it, he seemed nice. She gave his face a lick. Then another lick. His face had a distinct taste to it. By now she had already memorized Sun's scent and she walked over the the lion. Aristotle seemed very calm and warm so she sniffed his face too and gave him a lick. He had a feeling, she would describe it as fatherly but how would she know since she hadn't a father? This was it, she could ask to stay with them, or give leave, right now. Comet looked between the two, they seemed awful nice, and she didn't have anyone to be with. @Aristotle @Sun-Wukong RE: Comets Shooting Through the Sky - Aristotle - Aug 05 2020 Ari
Aristotle lay his head on his forepaws as he listened to the little girl speak, his slender tufted tail giving a thoughtful wave. So she was an Eridanus native as well, how unlikely was that to happen? A light smile spread over his lips as he listened. She was from near the pools deeper in the cave. The lion couldn’t help the smile that spread across his muzzle as the little girl smiled at his flower gift. Aristotle watched as Comet licked Sun and the full interaction between the two. He saw no reason to be weary of this girl. She didn’t set off any alarms as Akaari had when she tried to run off with Sun. The lion sniffed the girl back gently and gave a loud purr as she licked his face. A welcome gesture, something Sun didn’t do. He gave strange kisses and hugs and scratches. Then suddenly the girl was tripping over her words to ask him something. A light chuckle left the lion as he smiled gently at the girl. |
