Awaiting attempt before writing up intro

♪ OOC ♪ private for Makyna and Leon if Mads wishes

♪ There was a serene feeling about being encased in a tome that was placed rather close to a plant life form that could only be called the monarch, an eerie silence as not a single sound could penetrate the darkened stone that seemed to be overtaken with vegetation. Emerald tentacles of a breed of climbing ivy seemed to wrap its arms around the color shifting gem, a glimmer of life seemed to show inside the egg-like structure.

Breath. It felt like a command to the child trapped inside the hard shell, causing her lungs to expand in an oxygen free environment but this was not what seemed to cause a red flair to encase her mind. A dual toned gaze that matched the Chrysalis seemed to opened abruptly, confusion seemed to fill the hidden features of the child as she then felt the urge to move. Why couldn't she give her limbs release from this ache that seemed to burn deep in her soft form.

♪ Panic was replaced with a gentle wave of calm, as if a hand was placed on her skull to soothe the newly frayed nerves. The kitten's vision disappeared as she tried to focus on the new life outside her crystal enclosure, her mind reached out until a solid object was gripped. It was smooth, light and yet it seemed durable. Without much thought the child sent a command to the object now grasped in an invisible grip, calling it toward her trapped form.

♪ A sharp sound pierced her silent egg but it was not just the sound of rock-like object striking her cocoon, no, it was a high pitched shatter! The labradorite started to crack, splinter away from the cinnamon colored creature, causing a gash to form in the color shifting stone. Revealing a dirt color cup that remained in the safety of her tome, teal eyes looking at her new surroundings in utter confusion.

RE: Lonely quiet - Makyna - Jul 12 2015

Alone. That's all she wanted to be for the moment. It was nice having returned to Pisces but after the fight and everything that had happened... She just wanted to be by herself for a little while to think. Had it been wrong of her to expect to be waited on by Cancer? She hadn't meant to put him on "pause" but she couldn't just stick around while Leon was away. They had a connection that no one understood and so long as he was unhappy and gone she would be unhappy and not around in spirit. No... Cancer should have waited on her and she also should have gone back to visit him. They were both at fault... What she was at fault for completely and totally was losing her temper with Fisher. That should not have happened and now she felt guilty about it. She needed to go back soon and find him, to apologize to the brown creature for calling him outside of his name and attempting to throw him. Jealousy was no excuse for violence.

The lioness wandered and passed by the Monarch. For a brief moment she paused and looked up at it absently. It was then that she heard the telltale sounds of cracking and easily pinpointed it with her sensitive ears. A blue-ish chrysalis was near the monarch and from the sounds of it, just beginning to hatch. Her troubles were forgotten at the thought of new life and the motherly young lioness walked forward. Slowly she approached the cocoon lest the tiny babe inside be as timid as the pup she had previously adopted into Maji Walezi. Makyna lowered herself to the ground and inched forward until she could peer inside. What she saw excited her even more! It was a lioness like her! Young, yes, and different colored, yes, but that didn't matter! As far as she was concerned the cinnamon brown was a mixture of her and Leon's coat as were those teal eyes.

The lioness smiled, eyes welcoming and warm. "Hello, young lioness, welcome to the world." She said while still lying on her belly, softly encouraging the little one to step out and make her way into the world.

♪ Turquoise eyes seemed to widen in an emotion she could not quite explain, neither was of fear or the result of a timid nature. No, instead it was maybe to show wonder, an expression of both confusion and curiosity of the world that was so vast outside of her crystal cocoon. Her spotted, cinnamon colored skull shook violently as she tried to rid her body of the thin mucus that seemed to coat the crystal she was imprisoned in just moments before. Instead she seemed to cause more shards of her egg like structure to crumble, but this was not the sound or sight that caused her lips to open as if to speak.

♪ Again the child tried to each out with her mind, though this time it was to grasp a small piece of her shattering tome. This was a notion she really did not try to think about but out of feeling to not let the much larger feline get hit by falling shards of her chrysalis. It was a late reaction as invisible fingers touched the large chunk of crystal, merely pushing it out of the way rather than actually grabbing it but it was all the same to the child.

♪ The larger feline spoke, coaxing her out like a mother would to her child. Her paws moved but her mind had not registered the step down from the egg structure of the crystal, causing her to grasp at air and making her frame fall head over foot. In a tumbling motion, she ended up on her stomach with a pained oopf coming out in a rather scratchy tone from her lips.

♪ Dual color eyes looked at the lioness before her, the only thought through her mind as she stared up at the pretty being as an ownership claim. Mamma? The lioness watched as the little one within the coccoon pushed her way outside into the world. Shards of teal crystal scattered everywhere and one would have pegged her in the face but it's course was suddenly altered as it was thrown away. Interesting. The lioness peered at the brown cub. Was this one an arcane user too? She almost laughed with delight, perhaps she could even tutor this little one in better controlling the arcane abilities.

Makyna laughed quietly as the little quite literally tumbled out of her chrysalis. The lioness moved herself closer and lay down next to the brown cub, body curling around her like a protective mother lion. Her maternal instincts kicked in as soon as she had laid eyes on the lioness who reminded her of herself. Now she waited for the little one to make her first words. Only... There weren't any words. There was a horrible noise like a shattering crystal and the cub fell silent. Oh no... What was wrong. Makyna lowered her head and nosed at the cub's chest, just now noticing the gem embedded there. Could that be the reason that she couldn't speak? Perhaps it was... Makyna's heart went out to the little one but there was nothing she could do to make her speak. Well, not verbally.

The gem on Makyna's head began to glow as she tapped into her magic and spoke into the cub's mind. "Hello, little one, my name is Makyna Songcat. Does... Does it hurt you to speak?" She asked that question before moving on to the next. "You can talk to me this way, in my mind, so long as I can cast this spell." She had a hunch that the lioness would one day be able to speak with her mind as well but she didn't mention this to the lioness, not yet. Instead she simply gave the lioness a lick on the head, smoothing her fur. "Do you have a name?" Most gembounds had something that they liked to call themselves when they came out of the coccoon. What about a mute though? Would they have the same sort of name?

RE: Lonely quiet - Leon - Jul 12 2015

Ever since his return to Pisces, Leon hadn't left the lioness' side. Suspicious and steely eyes always flickered, surrounding her presence in search of the black leopard that had hurt her. He couldn't let himself leave her, not again, not ever again; she'd forfeited her privacy after accepting him back into her life, even after all that he had done. Leon hadn't really given it a second thought. Was he selfish in doing so? He needed her. He had become self indulgent under the guise of doing it for her, for her protection, but deep down he knew that it was because he couldn't bear it to lose her again.

Always her shadow, he'd quickly noticed when she left Pisces and began to wander the tunnels. Leon struggled to keep himself from running to her side, but eventually his curiosity and worry had gotten the better of him, and his hunger for her companionship ushered him after her. Before long, he would find that she had gone to Eridanus, a room that Leon had not visited in a long time - he couldn't even remember the last time he was here. The vibrant jungle was a nice change from the bleak cavernous tunnels, the glistening star-sky of Orion or the constant sound of falling water in Pisces. But he hadn't time to dwell on it. He had to find her.

He probed for the familiar feelings that had since settled into his mind and heart, and when he found them, Leon followed dutifully until he caught sight of the lioness. Orange eyes lightened and his round ears pushed forward, then he noticed another creature near her. Leon hesitated for a moment, craning his neck to see - another lion. A small cub, and nearby the shattered remains of a chrysalis. Is this what she'd been after? He had to wonder if she'd known of it. Some small part of him felt a swell of worry that this was Cancer's doing. Her fur was darker. But the chrysalis, it gleamed with veins of blue and green and gold. A different stone. Leon's worry was quickly stifled, even if the thought remained in the back of his mind.

The bear carefully lumbered after her, making no effort to announce himself. She would hone in on his arrival soon enough, if she hadn't already. He quietly approached the pair, gaze lingering on Makyna before shifting to the cub that she was grooming in front of her.
