Catching the Light [solo] - Sora - Sep 03 2020

Sora had collected several ingredients a few days ago; the hog had figured that the dye she wanted to make would have to start with gray, and maybe that her new magic could help her make it... shiny, she supposed. So here she was -- gray stone from Pride, gray feather from Pumpkin, and a spell rattling around in her gemstone. Her first step was to crush down the first ingredients, which she opted to try and do inside the basket Pride had given her.

The sapphire gave her one hell of a time, but eventually she figured out that she could just grind it against the side of the basket and it began to flake off. Perhaps she'd ask him for a softer stone next time, because this one was anything but -- but ultimately, she had two smashed pieces. Which meant there was really only one step left to go.

RE: Catching the Light [solo] - Sora - Sep 03 2020

Sora squinted at the dust and feather bits. It served as a pretty decent amount of gray, but she didn't want gray. She wanted something... shiny, like armor. Something that could provide some protection. She shook herself a little bit and prepared to cast this; magic didn't come very naturally to her, and she generally was not fond of it. However, the cast came quite nicely, and she eyed her new creation.

Glimmering, metallic powder caught the light. Once it was mixed with some kind of liquid, it would make an excellent dye -- for now, it was just a nice pigment. She'd have to hang onto this until she could bring it to Deli for application; hopefully, Sora had made enough.
