the stranger - Himmel - Sep 11 2020 Himmel. As Himmel emerges in to this new space, creeping wide-eyed in to the alien glow of some strange looking growths near the entryway, he isn't sure how to feel. In truth he cannot feel. He is awash in an emptiness that is made more obvious to him as he peers around at the immensity of the space. @Regalia RE: the stranger - Regalia - Sep 11 2020 Disorder and chaos, magic, divinity, the scourge of order, the test of worthiness that it had been given...there were many things that Regalia had to muse over, and it so often allowed itself to drift as it did so, the dense cloud of gas pushed by the gentle currents of air that ran throughout the caves. It did so now, in quite the strange shape. Curled into itself, as a cat might, but its edges blurred and distorted, almost formless now, as gas should be, but with vague coherence as one unit. For now, the golden orbs that sensed all were hidden within its darkness.
It did not notice Himmel as it drifted closer. After all, what beast was concerned with every ant upon the ground, every stone underfoot? It took no notice, if it even did see the fawn. It simply drifted slowly, some distance away, a small image of the distant galaxies, darkness within darkness, sparkling lights small and quiet. RE: the stranger - Himmel - Sep 13 2020 Himmel. The dust in his nose bothers the orofice and before he can stop himself he sneezes, which didn't have the expected result. The dust specks spun away from him but the mushroom he was investigating abruptly curled up from the rim to the stem, perhaps as a protective measure over its gills. The slight it produced dimmed slightly but was otherwise unaffected - emanating from the crown of the growth like the reflection point on a bald head. Himmel was intrigued for a split second but then dismissed the mushroom as he lost interest; side-stepping around it and the cluster of other glowing funghi, he noses at a smaller collection of tiny stalks topped with tall white hat-shaped caps. These he crushes underhoof without a moments pause. He grins his heel across them and feels the fleshy centers give. There is a satisfying popping sound as he does this - and he stands there feeling triumphant. Meanwhile, the approaching amorphous cloud drew closer. Himmel did not yet notice it, as his attention was directed down to the earth and the remains of those mushrooms, not up to the open air where the minutae of the gembound's curious body drifted. @Regalia RE: the stranger - Regalia - Sep 22 2020 Regalia continued to drift, hearing and seeing very little, eyes hidden beneath the cloak of its dark cloud, simply thinking. Pondering on its purpose and the life it would lead.
As it considered its thoughts and ruminated on its being, it drifted right by Himmel, oblivious to his presence. Perhaps, even if it was, it would not care. For how important was one mortal compared to the grand task given to it by the Creator himself? *exit, unless Himmel notices RE: the stranger - Himmel - Sep 22 2020 Himmel. The mushrooms were curious in composition. Some grew in thin but prolific clusters, others were wide-bottomed and heavily domed by their caps, and on occasion he took notice of a hybridization of the shapes: tall and fat but never more-so than their tops; a scattering of small pancake-shaped discs suspended by hair-thin reeds.
