Time For New Beginnings. - Aristotle - Sep 17 2020 Ari
The lion lay inside the base of his new home. It was dim inside, but light filtered in through small window-like openings in the walls of the treehouse. They were on each level of the treehouse. Two large ones were in the walls of base level letting in abundant light from the orbs outside. Each level had a ramp made of sturdy branches from the tree’s and thick vines wove together to make ramps up to each platform above that was also woven out of branches and vines all woven together. The treehouse itself was empty save for the sleep lion in the base level. The lion yawned as he rolled to his belly as he inhaled deeply and let it out in a rush. The lion opened his eyes looking around at the bare walls and grass floor. He knew he needed to go back to Orion today to get Legs and the first load of his and Sun’s stuff to be moved here. Eagerly the lion rocked to his paws and trotted to the door of his new home. The lion pushed Through the vines that formed the door and out into the clearing that was now his yard. The lion started his trek towards the tunnel that led to Orion. His pace even but not in any true hurry. And by no means was he being anywhere near quiet as he moved. @Yewberry RE: Time For New Beginnings. - Yew - Sep 17 2020 Yew didn't like speaking with strangers - but she was curious. About this group of trees that didn't look like they grew on their own. @Aristotle RE: Time For New Beginnings. - Aristotle - Sep 17 2020 Ari
Aristotle moved at a slow pace. He was in no real hurry and had no idea that he had been being watched for the short time that he had appeared from his home. He had no reason to think that anyone would be watching him. I mean he had made huge trees grow over the last week, but he didn’t really think it would draw anyone’s attention. However he was sorely mistaken. Before he ever hit the edge of the clearing a voice net his rounded audits making them shift in the sounds direction. His head quickly followed as he came to a stop. He had caught the voice only because he listened to the world around him more often when he was just taking a stroll. The lion perked catching the sight of a strange but vibrantly beautiful creature that reminded him a bit of the rainbow spinners common to Eridanus. @Yew RE: Time For New Beginnings. - Yew - Sep 18 2020 She blinked, though her bird eye didn't appear to do it from the transparent eyelid it bore. The other, did blink though, cutting out half of her sight while keeping the other half. It wasn't something she ever found weird, just part of her body. Along with those teeth that were used for too many bad things that made her shudder, and the scars on her body tingle. The mention of family left a ping in Yew's heart. Yeah. Family. @Aristotle RE: Time For New Beginnings. - Aristotle - Sep 26 2020 Ari
Aristotle looked at the strange creature before him, his curiosity peaking as he noted the canine features mixed with the bird. They were an interesting creature. Something he had never come across himself. Though he wanted to ask about them, he thought it would be rude to just come out and ask what they were or if they had mutated like James had in a chrysalis. Had they been born a wolf, or a bird? Or had they hatched as they were? So many questions began to swirl in his head as he gazed at the brightly colored creature. Aristotle watched as the creature blinked only a single eye. Were they… WInking at him? Or did they only have one eye lid? This made him even more interested in them. Did they have different eyes? He couldn’t help but wonder if they had a bird eye and a normal eye. He wondered what it would be like to never be able to close one eye. The creature spoke again, this time asking how many of them there were. RE: Time For New Beginnings. - Yew - Sep 26 2020 Just thinking about it made her want to hide. Except the Lion began to speak again, and Yew did look to him when he spoke. Something about children choosing to wander, and more children may be around soon. Yew wondered if he was going to get someone to give stone for him, or if he was just going to find random ones that always seemed to litter the caves despite gembounds seeming to live forever. @Aristotle |
