This is Garnet, Back Together [hatchy] - Remus - Sep 23 2020 A ruby chrysalis sat tucked away in Cepheus, and nearby -- as near as it possibly could be without one having absorbed the other -- was one of sapphire. Both were rather small, all things considered, the chrysalis having no need to grow larger. But it was time now, time to wake up. The neonate's tiny claws scraped at the walls of his prison, egg tooth picking at its edge -- and while he ought to not have been strong enough to break it, the magic of the chrysalis reacted and the ruby egg cracked like an egg might have and allowed the new child to poke his way out. He tumbled awkwardly onto the ground and flailed his little legs in the air before noticing the sapphire. Immediately, he righted himself and hopped over to peck at its walls, as if saying join me. He couldn't break it, it would have been impossible to do so, but he could tell the creature inside that he was not going to be alone. The peacock sat down and tucked his legs underneath him, tapping at the chrysalis a second time. He was so eager to meet his new brother. @romulus RE: This is Garnet, Back Together [hatchy] - Romulus - Sep 26 2020 the being that stirred within this chrysalis was a blurring mess of firing nerves and emotions that urged it silently, "wake up, theres so much to do, so much to explore, someone's waiting for you out there, you're waiting for you!" as Romulus opened his eyes for the first time, he was greeted with the beautiful, and suffocating walls of his chrysalis. sapphire encased his small bird body, and he wanted out! knowledge not yet granted, he wanted it, what was outside? he saw the shadow of another, someone like him, outside. the hatchling couldn't wait any longer! the pecking began, rough and frantic, excited scratched as he wiggled and flailed, needing out as fast as possible. eventually, the walls could no longer take the ceaseless assault and the walls collapsed, sending the bird flooding out with broken bits of sapphire and the chrysalis's fluid. he shook it off, looking up at the other bird immediately with an excited, innocent smile. a silent hello! @Remus RE: This is Garnet, Back Together [hatchy] - Remus - Sep 27 2020 The other creature, Remus noted, was the same shape as him. The same size. Both of them had gemstones in their eyes, though which one was which had been inverted. He tilted his head to the side. The only real difference was that, while he was various shades of brown and striped, the other bird was sort of an awkward ivory color. Still, it wasn't as if he was in a mood to be choosy. His little wings flailed around and shadow shrouded him. "Dark!" he chirped, wondering if his brother could do the same thing. @romulus |
