chaos multiplied - Regalia - Sep 23 2020 It was leaving the tunnel, eyes flitting around, as if searching for someone, a living, breathing body to rip apart when it spotted a rat. It lashed out immediately with magic, taking a firm hold of its body and throwing it harshly against the wall. There was a loud snap as its neck broke and its body fell limply to the ground.
Regalia stood there for a moment, staring at the now cooling body with disdain before it slowly drifted forward. All of them. A taste of chaos. A taste of what it meant to be worthy of Him. Besides, it did not like to watch others suffer. Despite this newfound need to create chaos, to commit acts of violence, to consume, it wasn't exactly all for torture. It had hurt to watch the zebra scream, it had hurt to know that she had died in pain and fear. And that hurt...that was Regalia's suffering. Its curse, that it would bear, its path to show Him... RE: chaos multiplied - Regalia - Sep 24 2020 As the body began to dissolve, Regalia drifted forward and pulled itself over the oily remains, absorbing and consuming, feeling the whispers grow just a little bit louder, just a little bit clearer. It shivered a bit as that rush of chaos sunk into its mind like a drug and pulled itself back together once it had eaten its fill. As it turned to leave, however, it paused. There was something in the body of the rat - not part of it, but sitting where its stomach had once been. It was...almost claw shaped. No it was claw shaped. It was brown, with strange threads of color seeping through like cracked. It turned itself around and leaned forward.
A gemstone. It tilted its head. Was this fate? Was this a sign? Within the body of a rat consumed was a perfectly shaped wood opal claw, just begging it to receive a share of life. Glowing eyes widened just a bit as it leaned closer. Regalia pulled back, staring at the stone for a moment, before it turned and drifted away. It didn't know if what had just happened would affect it at all...but it would come back to check on it again when its next mission was complete. *exit |
