Which Name for the Fairies? - Sharp - Sep 27 2020
So there's been a bit of chat on Discord, and the Fair Folk may change their names! I've listed a couple options in the poll but people are free to suggest others as well. Woo!
The Fair Folk -- original name, and calls back to medieval descriptions of the "little men". Members will be called Folk or Fairies.
The Fairy Folk -- A very small change, but ties it closer to the modern-day word. Members are still called Folk or Fairies
The Fae Folk -- Another word change that uses a less seen, but still recognizable, term. Can be called the Folk or the Fae.
The Court -- Includes less "conventionally fairy"-fairies (to be fair none of them look like, say, tinker bell) and calls back to the myths of the Seelie and Unseelie fairy courts. Term uncertain for a resident.
Them -- Very creepy and has spooky Halloween vibes. Can be changed to "They" for grammatical coherence if needed. Members just called "One of Them".
Other Ideas? -- Comment below! I forgot to add an option for "other" so you can just reply what alternative idea you like~~
