Tiny Griffin Does an Explore - Printable Version

Bright golden eyes opened and looked back and forth. Her siblings were asleep, and Comet was asleep not far away. A glint of mischief entered those golden eyes as she slowly slid off the pile of pelt they slept on. Slowly the down covered little crow like griffin tiptoed across the platform and down the ramp to the bottom floor.

Stopping at the bottom of the ramp the little griffin looked behind herself to make sure no one had followed her. Relieved she let out a breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding. Quickly the little griffin picked up her pace as she darted out the front door of the massive treehouse. A soft giggle left the little griffin as she made her way across the clearing.

She wanted to explore on her own for once. She was tired of the constant supervision and the two older siblings constantly hovering. Her three siblings were enthralled with either Renny or Sister Comet and she couldn’t see why. Sure they were great, but there was a whole big world out there to explore and she wanted to see it. Walking off into the trees following a well worn path the little griffin stretch her down covered wings sharp bird eyes watching the world around her with pure curiosity.

"Lookin' for something there, birdie?"

Jasiri's voice was a rasp as he approached the presumably new Gembound. A grin had tugged at his maw, as he wasn't necessarily looking to come off as intimidating or anything along those lines. A thick-furred tail swished softly from behind him, a sign, perhaps, of content and happiness. It was always nice to see a new soul wandering the world, indeed. He couldn't help but admire the little lion-alien's wide eyes, and the conspicuous combination of both excitement and curiosity that glimmered from within them. His own eyes softened for a second, a rare sight of the great male lion. Nevertheless he remained firm, still not wanting to appear daunting but keeping up with his typical composure. "You seem as though you've only just discovered the outer world," he rumbled, feeling amused. Perhaps, though, this was their first time out in the wild. Jasiri remembered those days, those little tidbits of amazement as he stared up at the Hydra sky. Fun days, those were. Mmm, how he'd have liked to return to them. A shame.

At least he could spectate this new little life as they meandered through what nature had to offer.
