Haruka Kanata - Seffyroth Gryphon - Dec 03 2020 Canis seemed to have a thing for bird horrors. Kalama lived there. And now, another horror would be beset upon origin. An inconspicuous rose quartz chrysalis laid in one of the many congregations of bone. A life twitched in there. Consciousness hit it like a shonen protagonist hits a wall. Its eyes flew open. Its wings spread. The chrysalis shattered instantly. The shards flung with such force, it hit a passing red mouse. Scavenging for chrysalis shards at the wrong time. The newly hatched bird blinked. It sat rather awkwardly in its puddle of amniotic fluid. One might make the assumption that such a bird was quiet. It didn't last long. His eyes found the lesser mouse. "GAH!" He gasped, extremely audibly. The newborn bird stood on shaky legs. He toddled to the mouse. Occasionally loosing his balance and slipping. "M..mmm..." He began, trying to speak. "M...my power." He said. His first words. He brought a wing to his face, doing his best to clench it. The newborn bird swiveled away from the bleeding mouse. His eyes widened. Bones...everywhere. Surrounding him on all sides. He approached one skeleton. A bird-like skull. He closed his eyes. Raising his beak to the sky. A single tear dripped from his eye, sparkling as it fell. "Tch..." he said. He was so powerful...he needed to learn to control it. "Heh!" And what better place to learn to control it? Seffy's glasses began to glow bright pink. The glow of his sans-like eye intensifying. "HHAAAAAAH!" he said. And then, it blinked and faded. Nothing. "Tch.." He said again. He needed to train more...become better. Harness this new energy. @Einsýnt RE: Haruka Kanata - Einsýnt - Dec 03 2020 (being vague about whether or not he followed bayo to canis!) Hunting was something he would have to practice, but he felt confident after doing it with Bayo. There were a lot of different things he could think about that could help him hunt better—already he could see in the dark well, if he focused enough. But things like increased agility, hearing, etc. would also be important to figure out. With time, he would naturally be better at these things too, as his body grew into itself. @Seffyroth Gryphon RE: Haruka Kanata - Seffyroth Gryphon - Dec 03 2020 Seffy had just gotten into a dramatic stance. Staring at the sky, eyes closed. But his shonen senses were tingling. A challenger? He opened an eye. The bright red glow, glowing. A coyote pup. Seffy tch'd at him. If Seffyroth 'Kenshiro' 'Anime' Gryphon knew how old Ein was, he might've had some commentary about how he'd only train with masters. But as it was, Ein looked huge to baby Seffy. He stared at Ein, watching as the coyote pup approached. He squinted an eye at the other child. And Ein's eyes narrowed in turn. A challenger? "Tch." He said. This new coyote. He was clearly enamoured by Seffy's power. Why else would he be here? He thought he was powerful, huh...powerful enough to engage Seffy, who had the power to turn an entire cave to bones. Seffy turned from Ein dramatically, looking at the ground. "Keh." That power...was it really ok to use such a thing? Well, this gembound needed to know what he was getting himself into. He brought a wing to his gemstone. Adjusting absolutely nothing. "Heheh." The bird said. The still-yellow corners of his beak lifted into a smirk. This newcomer wanted to fight him? This newcomer would see all that Seffy was capable of. Seffy turned back around, his crest waving in the wind. He adjusted his stance, and spreading his underdeveloped wings. "HAH!" His glasses began to glow again, blotting out his sight with the sheer power. He ran towards Ein, wings trailing behind him in a run. It totally made him so much faster. All Seffy ended up doing was running at the gembound. His glow faded, though for a good moment it almost looked cool. Almost. It seemed his power was more difficult to control...than he first thought. @Einsýnt |
