Aran was... Still getting used to having something of a resemblance to sight. It was sight. It was just different from what he had before - it wasn't from his own eyes. The collector had killed that bird to allow him to see again. The deer felt bad, but at this point it didn't matter anymore. The newfound... anxiousness wasn't something he liked. Aran found he was able to ignore it for the most part, but he wasn't entirely emotionally sound in the first place.
Aran found himself near the waterfall, the place was pretty. Something was weird about the area, however. A shimmery... something was there. It wasn't anything like he'd seen before, but he was curious. Was something inside there? He wasn't going to try to touch it himself, but maybe.... He would watch it for a bit.

The soft rushing whirl of the portal was audible, even to the mostly-blind; but the newfound eyes would find dancing colors rushing through its surface, too.
Nothing came forth from it, but it was certainly pretty to look at, and perhaps its rhythmic pulsing sounds would be soothing, if not unsettling to Aran.
