Clothes Shopping With Mom - Kaimana - Jan 08 2021
This room wasn't far from the Blacksmith's. Kaimana didn't really remember ever being here before. It was certainly very pretty though. Enchanting... which was quite perfect for what they needed. She could see herself over and over and over again as she twisted through the crystal corridors. Kaimana continuously bumped into stuff, which was kind of fun. Hopefully Levi would be following close. Kaimana was following something herself... the sound of water.
Upon reaching the water source, before she could stop to admire, Kaimana would notice something strange in an alcove near to it. Text. @Leviathan RE: Clothes Shopping With Mom - Game Master CJ - Jan 08 2021 The space below the rift is empty as Kaimana and Leviathan approach the alcove.
RE: Clothes Shopping With Mom - Leviathan - Jan 08 2021 In the human eye, there was a mechanism that made the peripheral vision blurry. Leviathan did not have this -- as was his nature in having the eyes of a bird of prey, his entire field of vision was sharp. He could see in more colors than a human could, and that was not even to mention the sheer ability that his eyes had. He was designed to detect movement, and there was a problem in Gemini -- as they moved through it, he was able to see so much more than the average human could, and so was therefore that much more motion sick. Leviathan hated it here, though it was likely pretty difficult to tell based on his body language. He wasn't very expressive, and was pretty much always somewhat displeased with his surroundings. He preened slightly under the praise, his ears pricking forward, and followed her to the strange rift. He sniffed at it, but quickly decided that it was magic and therefore he did not particularly care. Instead, he grunted and went about looking for things to enchant. "... Shiny things make good jewelry," he muttered, trying to focus on his own paws rather than the disorienting hall of mirrors all around him. No luck, though. @kaimana RE: Clothes Shopping With Mom - Kaimana - Jan 08 2021
The strange thing in the alcove didn't seem to hold Leviathan's attention, and after a moment more of staring, it also failed to retain Kaimana's.
She really hoped he wouldn't have to learn it down there. Kaimana opted out of asking more questions. Instead, she focused on the search, letting her attention slide away from Levi. Fortunately for Kaimana, she was not blessed and cursed with his sharp peripheral vision. Double that fortune for what she was about to find. Text. @Leviathan (wait to post, i GM requested for what Kaimana would find) RE: Clothes Shopping With Mom - Game Master Dark - Jan 08 2021 For the most part, this place was crystals: geodes, crystalline stone, gemstones. Perhaps Kaimana could break away a piece of crystal for enchanting, though how it could be 'worn' was unclear; it would likely need to be carried, or set in some form of cord, wire or armor.
@Kaimana RE: Clothes Shopping With Mom - Leviathan - Jan 12 2021 "Cycles," he grunted, less agreeing with her and more just parroting. He glanced at a rock that had a crack in it, and wondered for a moment if he could dislodge it. Hadn't he broken out of rock when he was born? If babies could do it, soft-armored and tiny-clawed with wings that barely worked, surely he could. Hundreds or maybe even thousands of pounds of muscle and fur? He brought one of his paws down roughly on a rock, his claws digging into the crack in it. He was strong enough to dislodge the thing, but he was not magically aided this time -- he let out a rather unflattering shriek at the sheer unpleasantness of his nails scraping violently through rock, and jerked his paw back with a hiss. Still, a rather sizable chunk of quartz had been dislodged, even if he was currently snarling at it like it had attacked him, all of his fur on end. The world had, in fact, taken its comeuppance. Never accuse him of thinking ahead, I suppose. @kaimana |
