siblings [repeat x3] - Anastasia - Jan 15 2021

When Anastasia woke up, there was only one thought that crossed her mind. Beautiful in how simplistic it was; wholly upstanding, a proverbial eighth wonder of the world. I am going to be a bastard today.

And so, her quest began. The hybrid spent a scarce few seconds wriggling out of the blankets her father had supplied for her, only just finding the time to haul a thick, woollen cardigan over her shoulders.

She knew where Erebos would be, due in part to the fact it never really left or moved or anything. She could see its back, even, from where she stood near her sleeping spot. It just made this endeavour easier, which was absolutely fine in Anne's opinion.

The little hybrid shook herself out a little, taking a glance around the camp before she began creeping. Carefully, slowly, stepping very quietly as not to arouse suspicion from her sibling. When she got near the firepit (dead, thankfully) she scooped up a smooth, warm stone into her hands.

With a sharp breath, Anastasia shut her eyes.

She'd had little practice with magic so far-- just what Attikias had tried to teach her --but the limits of what she could and couldn't do did interest her. She was a little surprised when, as magicka flared up, tickling her hands carrying the rock, that it worked.

Her eyes opened again, and the stone hovered a few inches above her hands. She shifted it left, slowly, then the right.

Then she lobbed the damn thing into Erebos's back.

RE: siblings [repeat x3] - Erebos - Jan 15 2021

Erebos would be right where it was expected to be- a foot off from the main camp, using the brush as shitty cover, and dug into its own little hole. It fell asleep here- safety, it argued- while nuzzling into the substrate, the feeling of dirt over its carapace a strange but warm welcome it sought out in the night.

Not that time really mattered for its less-than-average eyesight.

At this time of day, the naga had practically hit the snooze button fifteen times, always blinking awake and not wishing to move from its resting spot. No, it was happy- but, it was lightly sleeping now, unable to get comfortable in its shitty little dirt blanket.

It had kept its back to the camp for the duration of all of this. Rookie mistake.

When the rock bounced off of its back, Erebos jumped forward as it startled out of sleep, an inhuman screech rising from its throat. "WHAT?" It roared as it shoved onto it arms, head whipping from side to side as it looked for the attacker.

And there she was. Anne. Erebos let its quills fall as its jaw was held just slightly akimbo, an angry snarl rumbling through it. "WHAT?" It shoved forward- still unable to truly grasp moving on its tail, yet- "What."

Its quills had raised again, and they clattered together, but it ultimately hadn't entered the camp proper fully. In a brief show of annoyance, it bared its teeth and dug its claws into the dirt, rearing back for a lunge if Anne decided to try anything else.
