Looks like quite the conundrum - Grimmloch - Jul 23 2015 ![]() WITH A THOUSAND LIES AND A GOOD DISGUISE I wasn't by any means sure of where exactly I was now. I had wondered from the place that I met the older.. what were they? Gemboards? Gem..Gembounds! And that big guy all of the weird objects that clung over or on him- he revealed what I was: I too was a gembound, but a bear gembound. And that, of course, sparked a little curiosity in me. Well.. what exactly can bears do? , and with that question in mind, i set out to answer that question. The ground beneath me was now.. wet? It wasn't a very pleasant feeling. It was also cold, and not as birght with all of the green stuff that was near where i hatched. Well, there was some of that here, but a strange layer of.. colored air? Yes, colored air- that's it, was lingering around it all, even myself. I stood out, however. My fancy gem still gave a small orange glow. My padders seemed to slip every other step, and the dirt that was wet mad its way between my pointy things. Ooh, YUCK! I bellowed. I gave a snort and tossed my head, my sniffer vibrating as I did so. I moved my walkers faster than normal, and if it werent for the wet and soggy ground beneath me, i'd have this running thing down right to the core! As I charged on I stumbled here and there, and eventually my stumbling ceased after I found myself frozen in front of another monstrosity of a thing. It looked menacing itself. Grimm doesn't mind! HAH! I blurted out. I charged forwards, stopping at the base of the thing. I lifted a paw and held it to the oddity. It was... not a good feeling. Both its physical tomorrow ch and creeping aura. Even better! I swung my other front paw up and pulled upwards. I struggled many times, but then I bposted myself with my own hind end, those paws grasping however they could as well. I soon found myself off the ground and hugging a smaller but still quite large piece of this thing. There were tons of them surrounding me, all twisiting and knotting into or with eachother. I slowly pulled each padder out from underneath me, and my walkers rose as I did so. There was still plenty og room for my to move, but I moved slowly-knowing I still wasnt used to this walking thing and my oddly proportioned body. A few minutes passed by and I made my way up a few more levels higher. Though at this point o decided to look down- and I was way up here. And I dont think I should be way up here- the ground is where I was born, thays probably where I should stay! I grew anxious now, though it didn't really show. Perhaps I could get down from here, all by my lonesome. And so I tried: I slowly dragged one paw down wards, only to have it slip and dangle, and pull the rest of me with it. I pulled myself backwards as hard as I could to gain balance again. Grrr-helpp! Up here! Im this tall dark and scary lookin thing! Heeelp! I bellowed out. I snorted out a couple cooing growls and moans. Someone would hear me. I didn't care who. I just wanted down from here! He remembered the promise he made to Dragon and wondered if the guy was around. Perhaps he should try to find him? With a nod to himself the dragon continued onwards, not minding the mud that clung to his white fur. His tail, longer now, dragged in the mud as he continued on through the muck. His nose flared as he tried to catch the scent of something and what he caught was the smell of mouse. It was to the side of him. His large ear pricked and he was able to pinpoint and snatch it by the tail before it could do much. Because he was bigger he was able to swallow it without any blood. Dragon could wait. He had to keep his belly full just in case anything happened. A couple of hours and five rats later he was satisfied. He was going to keep looking for Dragon but instead heard a sound of distress. What was that? There was only one way to find out. He made his way over roots and muck until he saw a huge tree with a bear. It was a couple of feet up, not too far to climb down. What was he so fussy about? Was he too scared to come down? It was then he heard the words. Yup. Guess he would have to rescue it. He could fly up but Bara wasn't confident enough to carry that bear. Quix was one thing but this one looked quite larger and huskier, big enough to probably drag him down. He had another idea. "Don't worry. I'll get ya down." With that he took a deep breath and opened his mouth, intending to release a blast of energy. From his mouth came a transparent blast of silent energy that was aimed straight at the bear's branch which it easily snapped. Perfect! Now the bear didn't have to worry about climbing. He would fall down instead. No thought needed. RE: Looks like quite the conundrum WIP - Grimmloch - Jul 23 2015 ![]() WITH A THOUSAND LIES AND A GOOD DISGUISE In a flash my help came, and I was rescued. Whatever this strange creature did- it snapped the branch i was stranded on and both myself and the branch fell with it. I was now on the ground, the branch catching my fall- though it still didn't feel great. I scrambled to get up, only to tumble over the snapped branch. I landed right on my kissers, followed by a disgruntled Ooomf!. A grumble rippled up from my tiny chest and vibrated for all but a short moment. I picked myself up and headed towards the strange creature. What was that for, ya big goon! I snorted, I was still marching towards him. My snout was lifted and scrunched with my brows furrowed. I froze before I got too close to him- he too was a larger creature. He did help me, though. And how did he do what he did to snap that branch? He didn't come over here at all. I looked at the branch, and back to him. You did get me down from there... but how?! How'dya do that! Can I do that? The fact that he was in fact larger came and went, I didn't care- that'd be me some day. Well, not like him but.. like that other bear! Leon! I could help myself down from trees.. if I ever get back in one again. His plan worked like a charm and the cub was released from the broken branch. He landed on the ground, unharmed. Baratheon gave himself an internal pat on the back, congratulating himself on a job well done. It felt good to help others out! He approached the bear and expected to be thanked for his efforts but instead was insulted. Baratheon pouted and gave a snort. Incredible! How ungrateful! "I was helping you get down! You're welcome, by the way." He would have rolled his eyes if his pupils were noticeable. Perhaps he could have done the more graceful approach and climb up but who had time for that? He had powers so he'd use them! Still, he didn't let the bear's insults get to him. If he wanted to be a grump then let him... He just should expect Baratheon to call him out on it. With that next set of words though Baratheon forgot all about his ungratefulness. He had just gotten an ego boost because it sounded like this fellow was impressed. The dragon grinned and puffed his chest out a little. "It's easy. Ya just take a breath, focus, and--" He opened his mouth and aimed a blast at another limb on the tree. It was a thicker one but he had cast a weak spell anyhow so the leaves on that branch were just blasted off. Good enough. "I didn't want to break another branch," Oh yeah, as if that was why he didn't blast the limb off. "But that's how it's done." He gave a shrug of his shoulders then. "You might be able to do it or you could do something else entirely. You just have to see... Just like I did. Just take a breath and focus your energy then release it in one go." He explained. words: 306

I reclined backwards and sat on the damp ground. My head cocked sideways. Thank you a bunch, er- big creature. I didn't know his name, nor what he was. But, after he was so generous as to help me out, it was the least I could do. This was exciting, really. I was going to learn how to do what he did-er, well. Something close, according to him. I squinted my lids, then stood back up on all fours. I maneuvered like he did, and listened to what he told me to do. I had to focus on my.. my energy? What was that- what ever it was, I would try. I took a step forwards, inhaled deeply, and concentrated, I gave a small smirk and aimed my head towards him. Warmth builded up behind my kissers, and I quickly parted my jaws, aiming to blow what air there was towards him. It didn't last long, but I was still proud. I jumped in a full circle after I was finished. Did'ya feel that? Did ya, did ya?! I tossed my head upwards and flashed my pearly baby whites and glanced back at this creature. HIT EM RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES Thoughts and spoken words TAGGED: @baratheon template byMargie @ Adoxography v2 RE: Looks like quite the conundrum - Baratheon - Jul 24 2015 It seemed that the bear learned some bit of manners. The dragon smiled at him and dipped his head, happy that his help was appreciated. "Baratheon. I'm a dragon." He offered both name and species because it seemed appropriate. As flattering as "big creature" was he couldn't just let the little creature continually call him that. Baratheon sat on his haunches, waiting while the bear prepared to use his own magic. Baratheon was curious if he had the same energy spells as he did or if it was something new. While he waited he saw that the bear took a step in his direction. Was he about to? Wait, the bear couldn't just use his magic in Baratheon's direction! That was dangerous! "Wait! No! Don't!" It was too late! The bear was concentrating and opening his mouth to release something in his direction. Thinking fast Baratheon covered his face and body with one large wing, protecting himself from whatever would come out of this guy's mouth. What he felt on his wing was heat. Not even a dangerous amount, just a little. Miffed, but just a little, he uncovered himself and crossed his arms. "Don't do that! You can't just release your magic in someone's face, especially if you don't know what it'll do!" What if Booker had been here? He could have possibly been hurt. The little guy was too small to be around carelessness. The bear had to learn that things could be dangerous. He crossed his arms but the little bit of anger that he had evaporated. He wasn't good at staying angry unless he was Bloodlusting. After a shake of his head and a sigh he said, "Good job though! I felt it." A grin then as he let the bear see all of his needle-like fangs with that smile. "Bet you could make it even hotter if you wanted. You should try." Then hastily he added, "Just not in my face this time, alright?" RE: Looks like quite the conundrum - Grimmloch - Jul 24 2015 ![]() WITH A THOUSAND LIES AND A GOOD DISGUISE I gave a huff and tossed my head, my walkers carrying me around in a full circle. Okay, okayy- I'm Sorry, Baratheon. I marched around for a few seconds, I was looking for small patch of mud I could try to dry out if I focused hard enough. Sure enough I made due with a small little patch, but i first played around in the mud. After that was over, I stepped back and lowered my head to the ground, my snout not touching the ground but close enough. I wriggled my nub of a tail and scrunched my snout. Once again i drew in a deep breath and held it for a second and I concentrated-- I let the air I drew in burst out, and nothing seemed to happen, I didn't even feel the heat that I did the first time. ...Well what was that?! Nothing happened! I blurted out. I lazily reclined back to my hind end, my posture slouching. HIT EM RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES Thoughts and spoken words TAGGED: @baratheon template byMargie @ Adoxography v2 RE: Looks like quite the conundrum - Baratheon - Jul 25 2015 "It's fine." The dragon said with a shrug. No harm had been done and with his apology all was well. Baratheon would harbor no ill will over the error and was still perfectly fine with tutoring the cub. He watched as the little one played in the mud and couldn't help but give a laugh. It reminded him of something... something he had done a long while ago when he was a little hatchling. The dragon sat down in the mud as he waited and then began to form little structures from the mud, effectively making mud castles. He had made three of them before he heard the bear's call. Baratheon gave an encouraging grin, "Happens sometimes. You focus but then your magic doesn't work. You could try again or..." He indicated the little mud castles he had made. "Or take a break." He found a few leaves on the ground which he decorated his castles with. "What's your name, kiddo?" He had told his own but not gotten the bear's. RE: Looks like quite the conundrum - Grimmloch - Jul 29 2015 ![]() WITH A THOUSAND LIES AND A GOOD DISGUISE Almost instantly my interests were directed else where. I would take a break, but i'd also some back to finish this. A gleaming grin glistened as I charged over towards Baratheon. I jumped infront of him and these..things as I got close, my front paws landing carefully before them. I lowered my snout to the oddities, my brows furrowing. A studying glare fell across my facade. My ears perked as I heard him ask me my name. I was still studying the things made of the mud. I'm Grimmloch, I mused. Then i lifted my head and looked to Baratheon. with a tilt of the head and cock of the eye brow, I chimed What are these? . I fell back onto my hind end, my front paws in front of me, I looked down at them and up to Bara's.. paws. It was oh so tempting to do what he was doing, but I held back. Bit of a mouthful but he supposed calling him Grimm would be just fine. Still, even as the other spoke he continued shaping the castles with more precision than he had when he was a baby. They actually took on shapes similar to the ones in Orion. He was quite satisfied with himself. "These, my brown furred friend, are mud castles." He stopped shaping the castles long enough to use one paw to gesture to all of them. "When you put a whole group of mud castles together then you have yourself a mud village. Take a seat and make mud castles with me while you break." With that he looked around for a moment before he managed to route out a couple of worms which he promptly within his mud village. "What's a village without citizens?" He gave a laugh here at his own joke. words: 148 tagged: Grimmloch ooc: --- muse: 5/10 "Talking looks like this." Thinking looks like this... |
