Sharpen up on hunting - Comet - Jan 18 2021
Comet was out hunting. Except this time, she decided not to use her magic. She felt like sharpening up on her normal hunting skills instead of using the easy way all the time. Looking around, she ignored the mice and rabbits. She wanted something even harder that that to challenge herself. Raising her nose into the air, she tried to scent something, but couldn't catch a whiff of prey. Time to continue walking.

The grass tickled her paws as she walked, and a breeze ruffled her fur. She hoped to find something soon. If she didn't, she might as well just go after some rabbit or something. Comet was a bit hungry, so hopefully something battle worthy could appear. The thing about transcending was that so many things suddenly became easy. Too easy. Which is why she wanted to try something without it.
RE: Sharpen up on hunting - Game Master Dark - Jan 19 2021 It was a brief blur that might catch her eye, in the distance: a flash of spots and leathery wings skimming the tops of Pegasus's tallest trees. It was well out of range for most magics--quite distant, and very high up--but for a brief moment the shape dipped lower, down among the branches and the trunks. When it raised up again, and started to circle, it was again out of reach: but perhaps it would drop down again, at some point.
It certainly wasn't easily-available prey, but with patience, cleverness and power, it might become food nonetheless. @Comet RE: Sharpen up on hunting - Comet - Jan 20 2021
Comet spotted the blur of the kyte from the corner of her eye. It was unfortunate that it was too high to reach... for now. A good hunter had to be patient and wait. So that's what she would do. She would wait until that kyte dropped low enough for her to strike. She settled herself down in a clump of grass so she was a bit more hidden, although she was still partially visible. Comet licked her lips.
RE: Sharpen up on hunting - Game Master Dark - Jan 20 2021 The kyte remained up high; when it landed in a tall tree it foraged, for a time, before moving to the next. It was barely visible from directly below, mostly glimpsed in flashes through the foliage.
It didn't come down; in fact, it vanished now and again for minutes at a time, perhaps resting on the highest branches. @Comet |
