Adventures in Burning Things! - Dragon - May 08 2021 Dragon was determined not to be an absent father. Some of his children--see: the Nox spawn, all of which he somehow counted as his own--had wandered off and never really been seen again. This time, he'd kept close watch over his children. Like warning Skein not to try and murder others that wandered onto their territory. Or teaching them--at least sketching out in vague terms--how to find food, how magic worked. Not to trust Masters, as a whole. Not to take food from the pile, but to add to it, for their Father, Aquarian. He wasn't sure how much of these lessons each child had truly absorbed, but it was time now to go more in-depth, he felt, on at least one topic. Magic! This was a fun lesson, he felt; and also he had no idea how much any of the three children truly had learned, or whether any had no magic at all or a different element, or relied on their wits or force to get by. He'd find out, he supposed, and adapt the lesson to suit them; and so he'd called for them--roaring their names and then following up with alligator bellows to boot--to summon them. "SKEIIIIN! REVENANT! BRANDLE!" And, after waiting for them to gather by the Crags in which he waited: "I imagine you are wondering why I've called you all here." The fat alligator turned, jaw snapping open, and a torrent of blinding and crackling flame lanced out and engulfed a nearby Deer Spider, sending it squeaking and tumbling from its nest within the crags. Dragon turned back to his children. "It is time to learn to BURN THINGS!" How EXCITING! @Skein @Brandle @Revenant |
