ORDERED ELEMENT

Announcing: the Ordered Element.

A fully-infected Host of Order/Mother may now request, or be invited, to be Restructured in the name of Order.

On an in-character level, this entails the Host being brought to the hidden Clearstone Spire (the location of which is constantly shifting) by Mother's Praetors, and plunged into its crystalline magic. The power of the Clearstone Spire will tear the Gembound apart, reforming them completely, and utterly replacing their prior gemstone. While they will retain their memories and progression rank, they will take one full cycle to once again emerge.

From this point on, these characters will be known as Drones: while still compelled to serve Mother as Hosts, they no longer need to carry the fungus in order to take part in the Hive Mind.

A Drone's element (if any) will become Order: all elemental spells will be lost. Any magical connection (sensorial link, familiar forge, affixed dyes, baubles and enchants, etc.) will fade, as will scars and other damage (with rare exception--the Gembound may request, IC, that these are carried over through the Reordering process). A Drone's gemstone will be pure Clearstone, and will reform to be perfectly symmetrical in shape and placement. Drones will also give off no odor.

The ooc sale of other spells prior to Restructuring is prohibited.

New Spells!

As a new element, Ordered also comes with a host of spells of all intensities, which you can view in the Magicka Shop. A sample spell:

Automata
Medium Intensity Manipulation. Focus the strength of Order to take control of a targetted Lesser Gembound within ten yards, directing it to do the user's bidding. The effects last several minutes. Cannot be cast on Familiars. A failure to succeed against dangerous Lessers is likely to result in attack.

Now, for a little information on further mechanics! Clearstone characters will always be Ordered element. Clearstone could be obtained as a gift from Mother, or when a Clearstone character gives stone--or via RCS. Ordered characters may Give Life to other gemstones, but these Gemstones will become more pure and clear, and develop symmetrically on the Ordered-element child. Clearstone is also the result when a Gembound is Reordered into a Drone through the Clearstone Spire itself. When a Gembound is Reordered and their gemstone becomes symmetrical, it needn't become crippling--for example, a gemstone on a foreleg might become Clearstone on the chest or between the shoulderblades.

Lastly, Ordered characters will share all of the quirks of Hosts, without the need for fungus: compelled to bring Order to Chaos, linked to Mother's Hive Mind, and compelled, too, to serve and protect the rest of the Hive.
