It was time, unbeknownst to the little red one inside the garnet 'egg'. Subtly humming with life while poised still within Polaris. From the roof of this dimmed cave gleamed many lights like stars, colorful & bright especially when it reflected off the garnet walls of Lucien's chrysalis.

It's then the toddler is aware, closed lids wincing from the light that danced on the other side. Body moving and feeling the compression of the garnet egg then causes Lucien to instinctually push against. The chrysalis tilts before rolling over and eventually shattering. His small body tumbles out before coming to lay on his left, almost lifelessly. It's then Lucien is exposed to the cooler world of Origin.

Laying still, taking his time to be alive. Pacing himself with effort and allowing his sense to awaken as he began to breathe calmly; body remaining still with his frontal limbs overlapped by the wrist and hind limbs spaced. He is older than the usual gembound, though very slightly. His existence truly taking it's time. Lucien is rather plump with a stubby tail and thick arms. He appears spotted with wider ebony rosettes and reddish with erythrism, his skin a seal brown with eyes of crimson yet to fully open.

Laying surrounded by his broken chrysalis, Lucien seemed to sleep peacefully.

There is no one. No mummy, no daddy, not even a mere guardian available to him. No hero, no god in this story as the cub hatched; no sort of guidance awaiting to comfort and console his arrival in the world. The path of solitude choosing him for the better. The darkened cave of which he laid in just as spacious.

Then something moves, the sounds of crystal clicking & clacking. It's him-, shuffling the pieces of garnet surrounding him as he decides to wake. Eyelids peel back for the first time to reveal a hellish gaze. The toddler then groans as he pulls his body into a wobbly seat, his stubby tail flailing as he tries to balance on his haunches. His senses come alive- working quickly to sustain & serve him. And without a thought, his stone glowed softly as it sent a small wave of energy over his body that wavers then dims as the spell fails-, the cub not sure what had been triggered but he disregards it entirely.

Sitting still now, he looks forward with his vermillion stare. Remembering the twinkling ceiling and understanding his presence here. Awareness and consciousness making him truly born this day. and with so much to learn, he slowly stood and began on his way to explore Origin. Happy birthday Lucien.
