Sleep had claimed her at some point.
She could not recall when or why, or even how she had resurfaced here, where everything was booming white-noise. Had she dreamed? Jampa wouldn't have known a dream from reality in the first place; for all she knew, her life before had been the dream, and now she was waking for the first time. Or maybe she was dreaming now? Watching from behind the wall of loud silver, which fell in sheets, adding a chill to the air. She slowly got to her feet - balancing with the swell of her wings at first, before tucking them across her back.
What started as a sigh climbed up her throat, pulsing in her sinuses to make her eyes water. As Jampa let out a little yawn, she squeaked and her ears popped. The sounds around her became distorted for that second, then clarified, and she winced backwards against the wall. Her legs were longer than they had been — her wings larger too.
Had Jampa the ability to look at herself she would have seen the pristine white of her coat and been awed by it. Gone were the fawn-spots of her youth. Her head felt heavy, but she was awake now and blinking owlishly at the ambient light diffusing through the waterworks - she shakes her head and finds the action strains her neck. Something was there, crowning the top of her.
It was not the greatest situation to be in, but it could have been worse. Jampa did not know she had awoken many cycles after falling in to her impromptu slumber - only that she was now closer to her optimum size as her body had matured during her sleep. Alas, she was still confused and at a loss for what to do.
