Tenzin waited quietly, fearful that his theory could fail, but then was excited to see it might have worked. Time would tell, he supposed. He grinned when she said she could feel the child.

"Well, it might be really small right now..." he started, but then decided he wouldn't crush her hopes. He nodded anyway, gesturing vaguely to the den. "You can refresh your magic here while you sleep. I will be weak while I am maintaining this well for you," he said, pointing a wing toward the floating crystal, "so I may be asleep a lot. If it is dire, feel free to wake me by touching the crystal, okay? I will feel that." It would be painful for him, but it would certainly wake him up. He could already feel the effect of extending his magic and loaning it to both the crystal and to her. "Do you have any other questions, Mystaria? I fear I may need to sleep sooner than I expected..."

Mystaria felt kind of bad that Tenzin had to be weak while lending her his magic. So she wouldn't keep him awake any longer. "Oh no, I don't have any other questions. Please, get some sleep. You've helped me enough, so thank you." She went near the floating crystal and lay down. She wanted to get some sleep herself. She was a mother carrying something precious. She felt different, and it felt good.

He nodded again, confirming she was all right, and bowed to take his leave. She would know, by instinct, to make a nest. He was sure of that. They were all made with some sort of instinct, anyway. He shuffled from the cave and descended into the lagoon, where he'd fall into a deep, meditative sleep once again.
