Mystaria was moving through the tops of the trees in the forest. She was very agile as her long tail flowed behind her. She jumped from branch to branch as she looked down below. She felt so free in the trees, and being in the trees shielded her from the dangers below. The caves may have been magical, but she knew that dangers lurked within the most secret, darkest places. She hasn't personally seen it yet, but she knew very well that dangers existed here in the caves. She stopped on one branch and settled down. She looked down below as she sat on the branch high above.

Rune was getting bigger as time passed. Though at the moment she was still a small chick. She walked on her two legs as as she curiously looked around. Everything seemed so big! But as big as everything was she could take care of herself. She wasn't sure about other gembounds her age, but she could provide for herself easily. Rune was looking around for bugs to eat, as that was an ostrich's diet. She had no clue that a fossa was watching her from above in the trees. Rune was soon about to find out about her little friend in the trees above.

Mystaria climbed down the tall tree and appeared behind the small chick who seemed to be looking for something. She gave a happy greeting to the small child. "Hello there! How are you? You seem lost!" She sat down on her hind legs and curled her long tail around her paws. Mystaria wasn't one to harm others for no reason or be rude. She was especially kind to children, and this small bird seemed kind of cute. Her golden eyes rested on the bird as she waited for the bird to speak.

Rune turned around and saw what was a fossa greeting her. She smiled and walked over speaking happily. "Hi! My name is Rune! I'm fine, just searching for insects to eat." It took a lot of focus to find bugs to eat. They didn't just appear out of nowhere most of the time. Rune decided to start up a conversation. "What are you doing in this part of the caves? Are you hunting lesser gembounds or something?"

"I'm Mystaria! I was just exploring the tops of the trees just now. After all fossas were made to be in trees." She stood up and walked closer towards the chick. "You're a ostrich. In a few cycles you will be really huge you know. A really big bird. I eat insects too! I can help, maybe we can find some tasty treats together." Maybe she could teach this kid a thing or two about getting insects.

"Sure! Let's do it! Come on!" Rune walked beside Mystaria, happy to be finding bugs with a fellow gembound. The fossa seemed friendly enough, which was nice. Rune let the fossa take the lead as she stood close by. She hoped they found some juicy insects nearby to share. This was going to be fun.

Mystaria nodded and started using her senses. She stayed completely quiet, and with a bit of luck she found some tasty, large bugs with multiple legs on a bush nearby. She motioned for Rune to follow and allowed her to get first dibs on the bugs on the bush nearby. Rune was a child after all.

Rune took the first taste of the insects and savored every bit of it. She was having a great time looking for bugs with Mystaria. Once she had her share, she moved to let the fossa eat next. She then moved on with Mystaria to look for more insects to eat. She started a conversation while they looked.

Mystaria was having a great time helping the small chick look for bugs. The caves may have been magical and large, but it wasn't a lonely place. It was filled with gembounds such as herself who wanted to adventure with others. She kept helping the chick while they talked on the way.
