For a long moment, Eurydome was quiet.

Rules and having tasks assigned to her was what she wanted. A community around her to train with and talk to at the end of the day. Potential safety from Masters was good, too, though she wasn't too confident in Vargas's wording towards it. Might.

The fact, it was her decision to join or not? That, on the other hand, made her wildly uncomfortable. She wanted to do what was right without fretting over if she had made the right decision or not, and for whatever reason-- as her paws anxiously kneaded into the cave floor --she thought of Dragon, and his family.

Family. Something about that word. Were Vargas's Chaos Forge a family? Would she find such companionship here? Why did it seem like something she definitely shouldn't ask Vargas?

Another shuffle, and her hulking body jerked under a huff. "I'd like to join," she decided-- partially bravely, partially because saying 'no' to a Master also seemed like a frankly terrible idea. "I can help guard the chrysalises and aid the Desert Rose with training, if they need it." It would be familiar territory to her-- and if the Desert Rose was on the smaller side, it might help if he had someone to help who was bigger.

To Vargas's final question, however, Eurydome was shaking her head. "No, but Vakornol and I agreed to help each other train," she offered-- not that it seemed as though Vakornol had followed her successor to Draco, that is.

- THE LEVIATHAN -

"Vakornol!" Vargas boomed, suddenly pleased. Sure, he couldn't grin; but his eyes seemed to ignite with brighter fire, his voice pitched upward with joy. "Ahh, she is a friend! We had our own matches, you know, in the arena. Plenty of them, the battleworn bitch," he added fondly, with a chuckle. It was entirely unprofessional, but he didn't seem to care. "She is my predecessor--did you know? I am shaped from her design. If you see her, tell her I said she should visit us more often!"

Good-natured amusement (so unexpected in this grim exchange) faded slowly, and he thought over what they'd said. "I welcome you to the Chaos Forge, then! I do not recommend volunteering the information that you worked for Jupiter, or as a rebel. If you are directly asked by a Master or a Hand, do not lie about it but tell whoever asks that I am forcing you to make up for your prior actions, yes?" What a strange thing to say. Was it mercy that drove him to it, or merely protecting his own new asset? "To begin with, I will introduce you to Desert Rose. We will try to find Overseer Cain as well. Then I want you to meet as many of the Forge as you can. I want you to look over the food caches, the Womb here, and the structures being built against the back wall--that is housing for those who have proven themselves worthy of such rewards. Then the Farm, in Pegasus--find someone here who can show you that, so you can see where we grow our food for those who require plant matter."

Vargas hadn't really thought about it, but none of the Forge were actually vegetarian. It was good to have, though. Just in case. ...Right?

"Once you've done all that, come back to me and we will talk again. And until you do find me, you will be tasked with helping Desert Rose with any spawn, and bringing in food when there are none. Introduce yourself to the Sentinel at the doorway, let him know you are now one of us. Find Orthoclase-Alpha, as well. It is an Overseer, though currently... lacking its title. It is a long story, but if you can meet it, it would be best that you're aware of one another. I think that is everything; do you have any questions?" he asked.
