"Oh." Their ears slid back, not expecting the reaction. "M'bad. Guess I got too excited," They stared at their catch, which now very much swimming towards the light (so to speak). This hadn't been the first time they'd gotten carried away, but it'd been a while since they hunted something so big and still living. The last time had been rabbits, and they were too small and new then to actually kill anything.

"Maybe you could lead? Tell me what to do." She proposed, tentative. Even though she and Lior had their differences, it'd been a while since she'd talked to anyone since Fornax, and even longer since she'd been able to interact to someone her age, really interact. The brief exchange with the hatchlings in Lacerta barely counted. In the end, and for all her grump, she was just another lonely kid.

With Lior calling the shots, maybe they wouldn't get carried away as easily.
