Catori had just hatched some short amount of time ago, while she was new to her legs she already knew how to use them well. She was figuring out her magic as well. But what she was still trying to do was form the words she spoke in her conscious mind. She was attempting to sound out words as she wandered into the unknown cave, ears pinned in frustration and bobbing her head, "Ca...t..t..r..tr..i??? Ket..ry? Ketr..tr..rhy?". She looked around the cave, auburn eyes then focusing on the ceiling of the cave, "D...ar..r..k??" She flared her nostrils and bucked her rear in anger towards herself and swished her tail. "C...ol..d." she shivered and sneezed a bit after her expression of frustration, eyes darting around for warmth. For the foal it was quite cold due to just being hatched and the element she carried, the slightest chill wasn't her cup of tea. So the foal attempted to warm herself up with her magic, hoping she also see better in the dark.

//sorry for the delay, crashed after work and got busy with my business client today!

A small lizard-looking gembound let out a delighted chirp as their attention was drawn to the flametouched foal, bright in the already brightest cave around.

“Hi there! You’re a horse, right? You kind of look like my friend Wicker! He’s a horse too! You’re smaller, though, I think…” Lior squeakily rambled. It went without saying as Lior chatted at the other that the baby alligator was far tinier than either their mentioned friend or this new foal.

“I’m Lior! An alligator!” They belatedly introduced themself. “Do you have a name?” Lior inquired with curiosity.

Catori blew through her nostrils as she felt spooked by the presence of the other. She threw her head a bit and did an anxious dance in place but quickly settled down. She lowered her head, looking at the other creature with curiosity and slowly stepping closer. “Hor..se. Y.. Yes! I am a horse!” She neighed, batting her eyes softly as she studied Lior. “All…Ali.. gat..or. Ohhh..” she nodded her nodded enthusiastically. “Lior! I’m Cat… Catori!”

She pawed the ground for a moment, frustrated with the inconvenience and difficulty speaking was for her. She knew how to respond in her head but out loud was just so difficult. She wished she could communicate through her mind, but she was only a fire gem. Also, did such ability exist? However, she came to the conclusion that this ability wouldn’t really be useful in a fighting situation. She cocked her head to the side and rose her hoof to point a bit at Lior. ”A..Abil… Ability?”
